"The room was lovely, everything was clean and fresh. Bed was large and very comfortable with extra bedding if needed. Bathroom was clean and had washing machine and dryer in . If I had to find fault the only thing was the lovely big window had a pattern on which ment you couldn’t see the view of the river. Would definitely stop again"
"Booked a total of 5 rooms all under my name. 3 rooms are checking in early which is not together with me, is not allowed to check in even though it has a confirmed booking number. According to the staff, this is the hotel 's policy until they can receive verbal confirmation from the listed booking person. The location is excellent for a short stay or transfer as the hotel is just minutes away from the airport. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nearby can find fast food like McD, KFC and subway. Lone Star restaurant and bar just next to Woolworth supermarket."
"The location was excellent, just a ten-minute walk from Morry Creek. The only minor hiccup was that the motel's email had the wrong room number, so it took us a few minutes to find our room. Our suite was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was well-equipped with an electric heater and electric blankets. We also tried New Zealand's 'national dish' – the chicken pie – at the convenience store just a minute's walk away. It was delicious! Definitely don't miss it, as you won't find a pie with such great value for money anywhere else on the South Island, haha."
"We booked a family room and it was split into two floors where the top level had the big bed and the lower level had the twin beds, which worked well for elderly travelers. The interior was stylish and clean. Kitchen was well equipped with a dishwasher and a range hood. Wish they could've provided ice. The only big downside was the parking situation where despite having a big carpark, they charge NZ$20+ extra for overnight parking."
"I lived in Auckland a long time ago, but South Island landed for the first time this time. Speaking of Christchurch, there is only B & B! And the hotel and apartment are ignored and decided here. It was a really nice building as we looked at. All the interiors and the courtyard are cute. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Excited with a 4-year-old daughter and mother! The breakfast was delicious too. The bathroom is also elaborately decorated, but one difficulty. It was a bit of a unique floor plan, and the shower water flowed to the cupboards and toilets. The drainage of the drain is not bad, but it is probably due to the floor plan. Later, I'm full of family, so everyone is always busy and I don't want to catch anything. When I first arrived, nobody came out even if I pushed the bell, and when I was in trouble, a customer who went out happened to open the door and put it inside (lol) It was exactly the same when other guests came, just the entrance We stayed in the room next to us and opened the door (laughs) The owner family feels good, but it seems to be busy all day. I thought this price was a bit expensive for B & B per night, but I was satisfied. Finally, the security aspect is subtle. Christchurch is safe and should be fine, but if you are worried about it, we recommend a hotel."

"The hotel is beautifully set in a garden, and from our balcony, we enjoyed views of a lovely small garden. It was interesting to see Emirates airline crew checking in during our arrival; it certainly made me think about the good perks they must enjoy! Breakfast was served right by the garden, offering fantastic views. And to my surprise, they even had stir-fried noodles!"

"This was a nice little motel not too far from the city centre. The 2 adjoining rooms were very convenient with our son traveling with us. The room had nice kitchen facility with lots of utensils, crockery & cutlery. Very thoughtfully had a nice little washing machine too. It couldn't quite dry our clothes completely but the manager very kindly took them & got them dried in time before our departure. Service was really prompt and excellent. Will highly recommend & would definitely use again."

DDragan S**Comfortable Stay with Great Service**
I had a pleasant stay at **Rosewood Court Motel**. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a comfortable bed and a small kitchenette. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the parking was convenient.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was also great—close to shops, restaurants, and easy access to the city.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.
BBocaiaihaozheHappy with this hotel. It's in a very central location, right next to the cathedral. The hotel itself was also very clean. However, the shower in the bathtub only had a half-screen, which meant the bathroom floor got completely soaked after showering. Also, parking costs 25 NZD per night.
PPei ChiExcept there's a stain on my bedsheet, the hotel is a great to stay in as it's spacious and other parts of rooms and toilets are clean. 15min walk to Bontanic gardens or to Riverside market and a Casino just opposite.. Was greeted warming by the staffs n a breeze to check in. It's worth for a long stay where all amenities are provided, especially love their Huia series.
Just to note the towels are changed every 3 days but u can have it changed upon request for environmental friendly purposes.
GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel for 4 nights just recently, first arrived at the hotel, the reception was polite enough but not as helpful as any front desk staff coud be. The room was clean and comfy, location was fantastic, environment was superb (quite, few hote guests).
But somehow my wife lost her wedding ring from our room. We only noticed by the end of the day, and should have picked up earier.
Mr. Sui Beng Teh, the hotel manager, made it even worse from a travellers point of view. He has the worse attitude to the whole incident, instead of offering his empathy, he pushed responsibility back to the hotel guests who lost the wedding ring in his room at his hotel. His passive aggression is throughout all the poor google review!
He reacted bluntly when questioned about CCTV other than the door access record he could provide immediately, being agreesive at his answer and attitude towards to someone who turned over the room to just look for the missing ring. He was not friendly, empathatic nor welcoming despit he is in hospitality industry.
Im not blaming at anyone here or making any accusation on anyone but he as the hotel manager was the only one we could seek help for in a foreign country, and he expected us undedstanding how police and system worked here. To us, he made us sound like ****** and being forgetful on our own properties.
GGuest UserI have given 5 stars to this motel for the service, cleanliness and amenities because each aspect of these beat my expectations! I am usually very conservative in giving reviews.
Initially I was expecting very basic service given it is a motel. But when I opened the door of the room I was quite surprised. You could feel the room is very clean and bright. The amenities are sufficient to make a simple meal for yourself. There is also daily housekeeping services as well (given it is a motel).
The staff at the reception are also very helpful. When I first arrived, the reception lady asked me where I planned to go and showed me the ways.
The motel is also close (5-10 minutes walk) to the Main Street at Riccarton and there are a lot of restaurants there. You can also take bus to the city centre which takes about 30 minutes including waiting.
The motel is also very close to the Christchurch railway station which is only 10 minutes walk, great if you are taking the scenic trains. There are also a number of shops near the Railway station and you can do some shopping for clothes, vitamins and fresh food too!
GGuest UserWhen I arrived I was told I had an upstairs unit. Unfortunately I had a lot of luggage. Changing to a lower level was not possible. But an offer was made to assist me with the luggage.
I drove towards the unit and there is no available parking close by. I drove back to the front desk and explained my problem. They told me that they could move a car to allow me to park. One of the staff followed me back and took care of finding a space and also delivering a cone so that I could hold the space when I went out to dinner. He also came back to help with the luggage. So great staff! But the lack of parking (because they let people leave their cars there when they fly) would make me reconsider staying again.
I’d booked an Economy studio and was given an Economy two bedroom. Unit was a blend of older and newer features. Bathroom was updated but shower stall looked older and not as clean. Good water pressure.
Ordered breakfast at the on-site Restaurant. The waffles with berry compote & lemon curd was a large portion but very tasty. Great coffee.
OOtautahianI chose this hotel because of its proximity to Christchurch Airport (I arrived after midnight). For the price point and location, I got what I wanted: warm, clean, private, close to the airport. Check in and check out were both super fast.
Just a tip to anyone arriving late (this has nothing to do with the hotel): bring a snack with you. There are plenty of places to eat nearby BUT if you arrive after midnight, all the eateries are closed (except McDonald's, but only the drive thru is open at that time).
圣圣代千层雪This is a Chinese-owned motel located in the heart of Riccarton, next to the Chinese supermarket, about 4-5 kilometers from the center of Christchurch. We live in a two-bedroom apartment. The facilities and equipment are a bit dated, but they are still in normal use. The upper and lower floors of the room, each with a bedroom and bathroom, can be used for cooking, which is suitable for a family. The price is relatively satisfactory. Suitable for self-driving friends.
NNanny GloI only stayed 1 night, and I'm relatively new to the South Island. I had to catch the intercity bus and was stressing out I would miss my bus, or go to the wrong bus stop. I went to the office, and after a very patient 12ish minutes (on the lady working in receptions part), she understood what I wanted. She was so lovely. I was waiting until 8am to come and say a huge thank you, but my Uber came early. The heater heated the room up nicely, the pressure of the shower was great. The bed was well made and comfortable. I too am a housekeeper/cleaner and really appreciated coming into a nice, clean environment. If I have anything to say as an improvement, it would be to have a better tea towel. A nothing issue and a $2 fix. I absolutely loved my stay at your motel and highly recommend it.
LLouis ConnorWe were running late and were going to miss the advertised check-in time, so I called ahead to find out what to do. Although no-one answered the phone, we were informed by the automated answerphone that if you missed check-in, they would leave your keys to your room in a lock-box outside reception. This is a major plus for travellers as it can be so hard to execute your travel plans to schedule!
The facilities in The Lodge, where we were staying were mostly communal and hostel-like - people seemed to hang around in hallways. For some this could be a great way to socialise or otherwise intimidating. These communal areas were slightly untidy and unclean. We stayed in a room with en-suite facilities. It was very basic with two large twin beds pushed together to make a King-sized bed. The shower temperature fluctuated massively but we had a comfortable stay.
We did not eat on-site as we found it to be overpriced but we did notice that there was a wide range of social events such as a pub quiz which would have been super fun if we had more time!
