"The hotel room lacked basic amenities such as a toothbrush and toothpaste. We already knew slippers were not provided, but there was no electric kettle either. Most importantly, the receptionists showed no smile at all."

"Overall, my stay was quite disappointing due to several maintenance, comfort, and service issues that significantly affected the experience. The air conditioning was not functioning properly. There was no proper fan speed adjustment, and only one vent in the room and hallway. Because the thermostat was positioned directly under the vent, it kept switching off frequently, leaving the room uncomfortably warm at night and making it difficult to sleep. To make things worse, the hotel conducted their annual fire alarm testing over two full days during business hours with frequent on-and-off alarms. After long hours of travel, this made it very difficult to rest or sleep properly. After I complained, they offered to move me to another floor; however, that floor was also scheduled for the same testing in the coming days. Later, they only provided a courtesy letter. The kettle in the room was in poor condition with heavy calcium deposits, and when used, particles were floating in the water, making it unhygienic and unusable. In the bathroom, the power point was not working, which added inconvenience. The main rotary entrance doors were also not functioning consistently and were often switched off, which felt unprofessional for a hotel of this standard. There was no bellboy available on arrival. I had to bring a trolley myself and unload my luggage from the taxi. At night, there was noticeable water dripping and drainage noise, which disturbed sleep. Breakfast was very limited with basic options and lacked variety. Overall, the building feels very old and poorly maintained, and several areas need urgent attention to improve guest comfort and service quality."

"My girlfriend and I stay here very frequently to celebrate special occasions and we can’t say enough good things. We always get a jacuzzi suite and it makes for a perfect private spa experience. The bed is comfortable and although the in-room AC is considered loud by some, I personally find the noise minimal and quite comforting. They recently started providing in-room bathrobes which is a service we had always wanted. We will always trust the Monte Carlo inn locations with all of our celebrations."

"Great chain, never disappoint. Free breakfast, tea & coffee. Staffs very courteous. This particular Hampton Inn just been refurbished. Didn't give full marks because someone knocked at our door at 11:04 asking if we are checking out when I just used the app to check out."

"I had a studio room at towneplace with a king bed and a sofa bed. However, the sofa bed is way too old for use with human! You can feel the steel springs just by touching the surface. It can't hold even the weight of a child. They hotel then sent up a roller bed whose mattress is just as dated and unusesable as the sofa bed's. I then suggested that they look for a firmer mattress without springs. They managed to bring one way bigger than the roller bed frame can hold. We had no choice but used it for 4 nights but that unfortunately took up most space in the studio living hall. The hotel room is in general old but very clean! Having said that, the breakfast is fantastic with lots of hot and fresh choices. Veggie patties or burgers are a heartwarming consideration for vegetarian. The breakfast attendant named Vivek is exceptionally helpful and cheerful. His level of service is only seen in fine-dining restaurants! 👍 Thumbs up!"

"The hotel is very clean and conveniently located, with free parking available. There's a supermarket right across the street, which is great for shopping, and plenty of Chinese supermarkets and restaurants nearby. They also offer complimentary breakfast and fruit. The service here is excellent! 👍 I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Toronto."
