"My first impression of the room was how clean and tidy it was. The service was very attentive; I was offered water as soon as I approached the front desk. When I asked the cleaner for two bottles of water, she immediately gave me four. I told her I didn't need that many, and she just said to take them (and it turned out to be a good thing, as it was hot and we ended up using more than two). The hotel is in a prime location, right by the Emperor Kangxi statue roundabout, directly opposite Suning Plaza, with shops, restaurants, and BBQ spots right downstairs. It's also just a few hundred meters' walk to the Mountain Resort, with a lively tourist street all along the way."

"Staying at Chengde Qiwanglou Hotel truly felt like a home away from home. First off, it's not a towering high-rise, which immediately gives it a cozy, homely vibe. Plus, the hotel doesn't cater to a massive number of guests, only about a hundred or so at most, meaning they can offer a more personalized and attentive service, or as I'd put it, 'meticulous care.' This included thoughtful touches like having snacks, candies, and refreshing drinks available at the entrance, and sewing kits and other small emergency items in the hallways of each building. From the moment you step in, everyone you encounter at this hotel actively engages with guests, listening carefully to their suggestions and needs. This level of personalized interaction is something I haven't experienced in hotels in recent years, and it's truly commendable. Guests who've stayed even just one day are greeted by the hotel's cat rubbing against their legs as soon as they walk in – it's incredibly heartwarming! The restaurant staff were all very dedicated, helping guests choose dishes and ensuring nothing went to waste, which was lovely. When they heard we enjoyed millet porridge, they even sold us some to take back to Beijing! One staff member, Zhi, proactively offered to buy us tofu (from Zhang Yu), which was a huge convenience. Mr. Yu Changhong (Xiao Yu) provides exceptional service, treating every guest like family, and truly fosters that 'home away from home' feeling. I do have a small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could keep two electronic blood pressure monitors and phone charging cables on hand. When guests book a room, especially if they are elderly, it could be noted that a blood pressure monitor can be provided in their room, saving them the hassle of bringing their own. Having charging cables readily available would also alleviate any worries about charging phones."

"Brilliant location for visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort. The hotel is located just on the other side of the wall of the park and is at a quiet corner 200m from the entrance. Very convenient for an early start to avoid the crowds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at hotel. Room is good size and spotlessly clean. Many good local eateries within a short walking distance for excellent food at very reasonable prices"

"Came to Chengde for a visit in between catching a basketball game in Beijing. Saw great reviews for Zhaofeng International on Trip.com, and it didn't disappoint! The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, with a clean and well-maintained bathroom that had a separate shower and toilet. My only minor complaint was that the shower water temperature tended to fluctuate. The breakfast area was huge, and the food was varied and tasty. It was easy to get a taxi from the hotel to various attractions. A slight bummer was getting soaked in a downpour when I went to the Summer Resort, but overall, it was a really good experience! 💟"

It's perfectly spacious for a family of four and more cost-effective than booking two separate rooms. The room was bright and roomy, and the cleanliness was impeccable. "The young lady at the hotel was very enthusiastic; she even came out to help with our luggage, and her service attitude was excellent. The hotel room was spacious, looked clean and tidy, and all the disposable amenities were readily available. The hotel's location is great, right next to Jinlong Shopping Plaza, and very close to the Summer Resort, within walking distance. It's also not far from the Eight Outer Temples scenic area, about a 10 yuan taxi ride away. I had a wonderful stay this time, and I'll choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengde."

"Extremely satisfied! This was the best hotel we stayed at during our entire week-long trip, which covered three provinces. The room was spacious and well-designed, and the hygiene was excellent – even the toilet paper was of good quality. The TV showed the availability of washing machines and dryers. Since we were traveling with a child, they upgraded us to a family room, which we absolutely loved. The breakfast was also very good. Parking was convenient and free. The lobby offered hot water and apple tea, along with disposable cups, and the apple tea was delicious. When checking out, they even asked if I wanted water and gave me two bottles. Despite the hot weather in Chengde, my whole family felt the trip was well worth it. If we ever come back, we'll definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn again!"
