Cheap Hotels in Yan'an

"The hotel's location is excellent, right above Wanda Plaza. From the window, you can see Qingliang Mountain. It's also very close to Erdaojie Night Market, which we checked out – the scale of Yan'an's night markets is indeed impressive. The room facilities and cleanliness were great. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic; they called us in advance and even added us on WeChat to send a link to the parking lot. This was so important in a city like Yan'an, where roads can be very congested. They even gave us two small gifts when we checked out."

"The hotel is huge, and its facilities are excellent; it's probably one of the best in the area in terms of hardware. The cave room is very unique, but the lighting is so dim it really feels like a cave. If the hardware is five-star, then the service is three-star. The service was absolutely terrible, and the hotel's management level was a disaster. We stayed for two days and encountered so many problems that we decisively checked out and moved to another hotel, even though we had originally planned to extend our stay. 1. Because we were watching the 'Return to Yan'an' performance at 7 PM, the front desk, based on the time, booked an 'Embittered Memories' dinner for 5 PM the day before. Later, I called the front desk again to change it to 5:30 PM. When we arrived at the restaurant punctually, the restaurant's front desk couldn't even find our reservation, and the restaurant was completely unprepared. The restaurant staff quickly informed the hotel front desk that due to lack of preparation, all internal hotel guests with reservations were pushed back until after 8 PM. 2. There was a lack of communication or timely information exchange between the restaurant, front desk, and concierge. Given such a major blunder with the dining reservation, I immediately went to the front desk to inquire about the performance reservation I had made the day before for today. From what I overheard from the staff's phone conversation, it seemed they still hadn't made the reservation and were urgently trying to sort it out. 3. The restaurant manager said that because they weren't prepared, they would arrange for the food to be delivered to our room after 8:30 PM. After we returned from the performance, it still hadn't arrived. When I called to inquire, I was told that the reservation hadn't been made again. They then rushed to make it, and it was delivered to our room after 9 PM. 4. Breakfast was an even bigger disaster. The restaurant was quite small, with no usher, and no designated queuing area. The front desk just let people in without any guidance. Everyone had to wait behind guests who hadn't finished eating yet to grab a seat. In the end, we (a family of three) had no choice but to split up and find separate spots to share tables. 5. Not to mention the insufficient supply of coffee, milk, and beverages, the plates were also cleared very slowly. Everyone was doing half a task and then moving on to another. Despite a decent number of staff and not too many tables, it was still chaotic, which again proved the extremely poor training and management. 6. While eating, we saw more and more guests coming down. The front desk informed them there were no seats and to come back in half an hour. A large group of guests left unhappily. However, later guests were seated right away when seats became available. I can only imagine the anger of the large group of guests who waited half an hour only to have to continue waiting. 7. When checking in, we registered our child's information, but the front desk didn't even think to prepare children's toiletries and slippers. When I called the front desk from the room, the robot answered and recorded the request for children's supplies and an extra duvet. Half an hour later, there was still no movement. It was only when I switched to a human operator to complain that they urgently delivered them."

"This guesthouse I chose was absolutely fantastic! For the price of a standard 300+ yuan room, I felt like I was getting 500+ yuan service. The facilities are brand new, and everything is spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly diligent with cleaning; no matter when I walked into the room, it was always immaculate. The location is excellent – I could easily walk with my elderly parents to visit two attractions, and it's very close and convenient for visiting other sites like Yan'an Pagoda Hill and Zaoyuan. The room decor was also very cozy and had a lovely local Yan'an touch. I was particularly impressed with the hotel's services, including the pick-up and drop-off service from the station. "The room was quite nice and unique. There are electric shuttle golf carts for transfers up and down, though the road can be a bit bumpy. The bed was very comfortable, the toilet had a heated seat, hot water came on quickly, and the room was clean. It's about 500 meters from the Yangjiaping Revolutionary Site. Each room has a red light outside the door, which creates a special ambiance when lit at night. Overall, it's worth staying, but the price could be a bit lower."

"This was my first time staying at the Wanda Meihua Hotel in Yan'an. The front desk staff, Casey, were very attentive and welcoming, even providing welcome fruit. I was very satisfied. I booked the Meihua, but they upgraded me to the Jia Hua Hotel. The breakfast at this hotel was also quite good. Compared to several hotels in the same price range, this one truly exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was warm, and the air conditioning and Wi-Fi were excellent. It was so comfortable! The elderly guests enjoyed their meals. I'll definitely bring my children here next time. The Hanxue Hotel is great value for money. I recommend opening the curtains in the morning to see the small garden downstairs and have a cup of tea. Highly recommended for its great value!"

"I chose this place to get married and pick up a bride. Except for the traffic jam at the entrance during morning and evening rush hours, everything else was fine. The price is not expensive in the urban area, and the accommodation environment and hygiene are much better than those of express hotels of the same price.
