"My first stay at Yamagata Hotel was fantastic. The two security guards at the entrance were incredibly friendly and welcoming, instantly putting me at ease and lifting my spirits. From the front desk staff to the restaurant servers, housekeeping, and cleaning crew, you could truly feel the meticulous and thoughtful service throughout Yamagata Hotel. The mini-bar and snacks in the room were all complimentary, which was a very generous touch! The hot spring bathtub in every room is huge and incredibly comfortable to soak in – you don't even need to leave the room! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a high-quality accommodation experience. It's definitely worth a return visit."

"This stay was excellent! The hotel's location is superb, conveniently close to the MTR station yet surprisingly quiet. The lobby is elegantly decorated, and the staff were very friendly and efficient during check-in. Our room was spacious and clean, with a large bay window offering great views. The bed was perfectly comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was above average in taste. The gym and pool were well-maintained and fully equipped. The overall service was incredibly attentive. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers; I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hong Kong."

"Overall, the room was spacious enough for a one-night stay, and the facilities were new and clean. However, the stated check-in time (3:00 pm) did not reflect the actual situation, as we were told to return at 3:30 pm to check in. We understand that hotel staff in Taiwan may not be as flexible as their counterparts in countries like China and Malaysia, where tourists are often allowed to check in earlier if their reserved room is already ready, even before the official check-in time. Travelers are usually quite tired when they arrive at their hotel and often hope to check in and rest before heading out again. Being a little more considerate in such situations would give international guests a warmer impression."

"Although the hotel is a bit old, it's a good choice for the relatively cheap price. The overall environment is acceptable. It's a bit further from the city center, requiring an extra 10-minute walk. The hotel offers free bicycle rentals, which was great as I stayed two nights and had plenty of time to explore by bike. There are some excellent small restaurants nearby that I won't spoil for you; you can discover them yourself."

"The bustling downtown and market are just a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Nearly all the staff were incredibly friendly and professional in answering our questions. This trip marked our seven-month anniversary, and it added so many wonderful memories as we head towards our eighth month together. Upon check-in, the hotel learned we were celebrating our anniversary and thoughtfully upgraded us to a mountain-view room. The in-room welcome drinks were incredibly generous, featuring mini beers, plum wine, coke, and Pocari Sweat – essential for rehydration after a soak; they even included face masks to pamper us while we enjoyed the in-room hot spring bath. All the room's fixtures and fittings were new and high-quality: a Toto washlet, a Panasonic 1400 nanoe hairdryer, a thoughtful wooden gua sha massage comb, and hyaluronic acid-infused shower gel that left skin feeling smooth and soft. What truly amazed me were the double-layered automatic curtains (even in the room's private hot spring area!). The double room's bathtub was spacious enough for up to four people – a very comfortable size. In the afternoon, the lobby offered preserved fruits and freshly brewed tea, perfect for a relaxing break after a dip in the outdoor public hot spring. After dinner, they provided handmade kumquat-flavored tofu pudding, and it was unlimited – so generous! (There's a lovely staff member in the lobby, Tina, who's a treasure trove of recommendations for local food and sights; don't hesitate to ask her for her secret list of must-try places!) Last but not least, I highly recommend trying the hotel's breakfast, especially the freshly blanched beef soup. Even my boyfriend, who grew up in Tainan, the home of beef soup, couldn't stop raving about it. *If you're planning a weekday visit like we did and want to try some local famous eateries, be sure to check their opening hours in advance. Many popular spots are only open from Friday to Sunday or during specific hours, like mornings until 2 PM. (Luckily, you can find a lot of food on Uber Eats!) Heartily recommend!"

"The location is right across from Luodong Train Station and very close to Luodong Night Market. Parking and breakfast are provided, making it convenient for family outings. I could smell cigarette smoke coming from the bathroom exhaust duct while sleeping at night."

"Check-in and check-out were both self-service, and the staff called to ask me to add them on their official Line account beforehand. The messages and signage at the counter were very clear, so the process was quite smooth. I changed into indoor slippers on the first floor. The space was small but very comfortable, and there were no strange smells in the room. Because of its location on the bustling Jiaoxi Road, you inevitably experience traffic, and other guests can be heard talking quite loudly 😅 If you're not a light sleeper and like to explore during the day, I would highly recommend this place: besides attractions and popular restaurants, there are convenience stores and drugstores nearby, so you can easily stock up on necessities; for those who don't drive or cycle, there are bus stops where you can take a bus or coach to walk a bit further and then come back in the evening to relax in the hot springs. The only minor complaint is that on the day of my check-in, there was a lot of hair from previous guests on the bathroom floor 🥲, and the water temperature was a bit low on the second night (the first night was truly a hot spring, amazing!)."

"The front desk service was excellent, and they have their own parking lot. The location is great, about 200-300 meters from Tangweigou Hot Spring Park. I personally found the bed and pillows to be just right – not too soft, not too firm – making for a good night's sleep. The hot spring tub in the room is spacious, and the hot spring water comes out quickly and is very hot. I've stayed here several times already and will definitely be back."
