Cheap Hotels in Phi Phi Islands

"Pros: The hotel's location is excellent, just a few hundred meters from Ton Sai Pier. Dining options and convenience stores nearby are plentiful. You can directly access the beach from right outside the check-in area. The staff were very friendly and provided great service; they even helped carry our luggage to the room after check-in. The hotel also has a swimming pool, so if you don't feel like going to the beach, you can relax and sunbathe by the pool. Cons: The room itself is a bit dated. The air conditioning is a wall-mounted unit, not central air, so it takes a long time to cool down. The bathroom has no window, so there was a noticeable odor as soon as you entered. Also, the water pressure for the shower was a bit unstable. Even though it's fresh water, it had a slightly salty taste. I'd recommend bringing your own shower head and faucet filter."

"This is a fabulous place to stay. It’s tucked away in the corner of a beautiful beach so it’s peaceful and chilled but still walking distance (5mins) to the main shops, cafes, bars and harbour of PhiPhi. The bamboo huts are very solid and appeared to be really well sealed so no bugs getting in and excellent at holding the cool air from the air conditioner inside. Very comfy bed, soft bed linen, good pillows, bathrobes, bottled water and good quality toiletries all provided. Gorgeous bathroom with great showers. Welcome drink and snacks provided in the room. The breakfast buffet was incredible- so much choice and everything was delicious. We also ate lunch here one day and dinner here one night and both were delicious, The swim up pool bar was a real treat with happy hour 2 for one cocktails from 3-5 as well as delicious smoothies ice cream and made to order sushi available. The pool is stunning of with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Pool towels supplied. Also possible to hire canoes and stand up paddle boards to take out on the bay. (1 hour included for free for all guests). The staff were lovely at all times. A delight to deal with at all times. Lastly yes you can hear the noise from the bar across the bay in the evenings from 10 to 2:30 am but the resort supplies ear plugs and we all slept perfectly fine every night. If you are sensitive to noise maybe bring some noise blocking ear plugs but don’t let that be the reason you miss out on staying in this stunning resort."

"A beautiful hotel with a naturalistic style – both the rooms and the grounds. Good breakfasts, and the town center is within walking distance (the path isn't for the lazy, but you can also take a boat for 100 baht). There's a small private beach, a couple of almost deserted tiny beaches, and Long Beach (the descent to it is quite steep, but there are ropes). This is one of the best spots on the island for snorkeling and observing reef sharks. There are downsides, but they're not critical – the tap water is salty and bitter, and boats constantly whiz by, creating a lot of noise, but you get used to it. We didn't see any monkeys at the hotel, but there were plenty of cats, and they're fed here, which is great. Mosquitoes weren't a big bother either."

"Phi Phi Island is great for couples and singles alike! There are bikini-clad beauties everywhere – a real feast for the eyes. The nights are incredibly lively, with bustling bars and exciting beach performances. 😊 The service at Phi Phi Anita is excellent, especially the hotel staff who helped us with our luggage all the way to the boat. The hotel breakfast was also very good, probably the only decent meal we had as most places on the island serve Western food, which my elderly family members weren't used to. Remember to bring plenty of cash! Besides 7-Eleven, pretty much everything else on the island is cash-only!!!!"

"A nice hotel that’s really close to the beach at the back of the place. Unfortunately we didn’t have good experiences with the food or the service. For example at breakfast they served shrimp fried rice with the poop sack still attached and a lot of flies were around the fruit in the mornings. Also the day before we were due to leave I had one of the house keeping staff drop an iron off at my room. Without hearing an answer came into my room and opened the bathroom door where I was showering. I had music on at the time so I’ve no idea happened and I asked her to leave immediately. I went to the door a minute later to get the iron and she also left a set of keys with me- no idea why or why yay they were for but she appeared 2 hours later asking for them so I hope they weren’t for the surrounding rooms! The view from the pool at the back and the fruit shakes were really good but I wouldn’t stay here again"

"A stylish accommodation really close to the pier. The ground floor of the long building has many great restaurants. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and chic, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a nice view. This hotel has everything Koreans tend to love. Downsides: Only two large towels were provided. I think it was a mistake, but since we were only staying one night, we just made do. We had a great stay. Thanks to the staff."

"The facility was great and it was beautiful and it did offer a number of amenities but I will be honest the service wasn’t the greatest. I felt as if as a paying customer I was constantly being treated like I was a burden for asking for things like “extending my say” I don’t want to generalize and say it was all the workers there was a man named “Chan” who had a very passive aggressive attitude with me and other people there. I understand that it’s a 5 star resort and it is on the pricier side but it constantly felt like they were also trying to capitalize on the necessities you’ll need because it is on an isolated island. (Word of advice go to the local village for things like pharmacy needs, cosmetic and booking boats and excursions it’s 10 times cheaper.) At the resort they will do things like charge nearly 30$ for a bottle of sunscreen at the gift shop because they know you’ll need it. Going back to this I tried to extend my stay with them and Chan told me I was going to have to pay double the original price if I wanted to stay another night I quickly went online and saw that it was half the price that he quoted and just immediately felt quite put off and like he was doing whatever possible to milk us financially when we are already being generous and willing customers. I was in a group of four people and everyone in my group had stomach issues after eating at the breakfast buffet so that was a problem as well. We were also not told that on the resort is a mosque and you will be woken up to the call of prayer frequently. I have no problem with people exercising there religious traditions I would just like a forewarning about being woken at 5AM to hear the it."

"The service was excellent; the staff were always willing to help. I really appreciated being able to leave my luggage for a few hours after check-out. My room was clean, well-ventilated, and smelled lovely. Everyone was very kind and friendly."

"The biggest plus is the location. It's a 400m walk from the pier. The room is average, nothing fancy. Small but cozy. The bathroom is also tiny, you can't really move around if there are two people. The shower is just a hole, but there's hot water. It's a standard room. The grounds are beautiful. But the pool, that's just fantastic! There's a big pool and a smaller one for kids. The views from the pool out to the sea are also great."

"A large room with a spacious bathroom, cold air conditioning, and a strong hot water shower. A kettle, coffee, and complimentary water were also provided. The hotel has a pool, although I didn’t have time to use it. The location is right in the centre of Tonsai, making it convenient for everything while still being quiet enough in the evenings. The only downside was that the internet wasn’t working during this visit, which was disappointing."
