ChaoKoh Phi Phi Hotel and Resort ★★★★

📍 157/1, Moo 7, Phi Phi Don, Krabi, Ao Nang, Phi Phi Islands

Viking Nature Resort ★★★

📍 222 Moo.7, Aonang, Kho Phi Phi, Phi Phi Islands

"Booked the cheapest room, but got a free upgrade upon arrival. Also they allowed me to check-in earlier, which was very nice. The house I stayed in was very clean, no bugs at all. Some things to keep in mind: - the resort is quite big, so if you end up staying in farther houses, you’ll need to walk to the restaurant and Viking beach for around 5 minutes. The pathways are kinda steep, so it can be inconvenient for elderly and kids or at night; - the walk from the pier to the resort takes around 25 minutes. The views along the way are spectacular. The pathway is manageable even if you wear flip-flops, but I don’t think you should try it if your group has an elder or a kid. I’ll attach some photos of the path for reference; - there’s a lot of cats! Sadly I didn’t have any cat food with me. So if you have a chance, bring cat food! 😁 - you can actually walk to the Long Beach, it will take 5 minutes or so. But the path is not for a weak… You need to hold ropes to climb or to get down. The last photo is the part of that path."

📍 279 Phi Phi Island, Muang, Krabi, 81210 Ao Nang, Muang, Ao Nang, Phi Phi Islands

"Check in was a breeze with luggage handlers helping carry your luggage from the pier to the hotel. The reception girls are really lovely and helpful with whatever request you might have(like booking boats to your next destination), just remember to say please and thank you(kohp khun ka/krap). The hotel is the last one on the pier side bay, therefore is really quiet, even now in high season. The down low is that you have to walk 20minutes to restaurants and bars on 30+ degree heat + high humity,so expect to arrive sweating both ways. The hotel itself is probably 40/50 years old and seems that never been renovated, the inside of the rooms need freshing up,paint etc...an overall renovation of the whole building. Although the rooms were clean, aircon was good and our room with the pool access(1 of 3) had great views from the bay. Pool was also clean and it was at a good temperature. If you are here for just a couple of days it is fine. Breakfast is basic but they have an egg station, so you can order your eggs however you prefer. And the black coffee was great too(better than other hotels we stayed in Bangkok/Krabi). The hotel staff were very kind to supply my wife with Flying Rabbit(a local thai version of gaviscon/diarrhoea medicine) which helped a mild food poisoning combined with charcoal tablets. Moreover, the hotel has a little private beach with sun lounges at the very end of the bay, perfect for chilling when you don't have any boat trips booked for the morning. Be aware that it becomes shady after around 3pm because its so close to the mountain. Also there were monkeys signs on your doors to keep them lock to prevent curious monkeys of rummaging through your stuff but we haven't seen any during our 3 night stay. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not unless completely renovated:, too far from the restaurants and bars and very old/tired. Make sure you use some walking shoes when going out because you definitely gonna hit that 10000 steps mark."

Phi Phi Villa Resort Hotels in Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi Villa Resort

"The environment on Phi Phi Island is excellent. This is considered a relatively large resort on the south coast of Phi Phi Island, with its own private beach. It's about a ten-minute walk from the pier, as there's no public transportation on the island; you have to walk. Freshwater may be scarce on the island, so the water is slightly salty and the water quality is average."

Phi Phi Long Beach Resort & Villa Hotels in Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi Long Beach Resort & Villa

"Myself and 3 friends booked to stay here whilst travelling Thailand. Upon arrival we noticed that our room looked nothing like the pictures shown on the app for a standard room. Evidently, these pictures were actually of a superior room therefore deceiving us as we thought we’d booked the room displayed on the picture. After asking to move room only 2 out of 4 of us were able to move leading to mass disappointment. Secondly, the rooms feel very outdated and could do with some modernisation E.G plywood ceilings and scratched mirrors. Finally, the last thing I would warn people is this location requires you to get a long boat to the centre of phi phi and at night the longboats can be very sketchy as one night our driver nearly totalled an individual kayaking. However on a positive note the hotel is in a beautiful location right next to the beach."

"The location and the rooms were great. We loved the vibe and old aesthetic. Service and facilities were great! Only feedback is if the bathrooms could be renovated as it may not be to everyone’s liking. Other than that, would definitely come back!"

Panmanee Hotel-Newly Renovated Hotels in Phi Phi Islands

Panmanee Hotel-Newly Renovated

"A beautifully renovated hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. The location is very central and ideal for exploring the island. There's a recurring issue with a drain smell, but the staff always fix it quickly. Apart from that, it's really very clean and good."

Bayview Resort Phi Phi Island - Beach Front Resort Hotels in Phi Phi Islands

Bayview Resort Phi Phi Island - Beach Front Resort

"Upon arrival, things got off to a bit of a rough start. Room 210, while advertised with a sea view, had a very limited one, which wasn't a huge deal. The most unpleasant part was the leaky pipe by the toilet. My request to switch rooms with the front desk wasn't successful. After adjusting my mindset and accepting it, it was fine—the water was clean anyway, and I was there to relax, so no need to dwell on it. However, I do recommend the hotel renovates soon, otherwise, it's a waste of such a beautiful location. Summary: 1. The facilities are indeed old. The exterior looks okay, but the interior is too basic. Friends accustomed to five-star hotels might find it hard to adapt. I had to comfort my child and convince myself, but once I accepted it, it was fine. 2. If you want a true, unobstructed sea view room, be sure to communicate with the hotel beforehand. Only rooms starting with '1' will do. The higher the room number, the higher up the hill it is, so be prepared for a cardio workout every time you head back to your room. 3. The service was generally good. I didn't feel any prejudice or mistreatment towards Chinese guests. The porters who helped with luggage were the best. 4. Cat lovers will overlook all the negatives and fall in love with this place, just like my son. He initially complained about everything, but after bribing many cats with cat food to hang out on our balcony, he was very sad to leave."

"While the sand isn't the softest (with some rocky areas), the environment is wonderfully peaceful and the water is crystal clear. You can explore the surrounding waters by boat or enjoy snorkeling directly in front of the hotel. At low tide, you'll discover an abundance of coral and fish (just be mindful of sea urchins!). For an additional fee, activities like fishing and deep-sea snorkeling are also available."

SAii Phi Phi Island Village Hotels in Phi Phi Islands

SAii Phi Phi Island Village

"The facility was great and it was beautiful and it did offer a number of amenities but I will be honest the service wasn’t the greatest. I felt as if as a paying customer I was constantly being treated like I was a burden for asking for things like “extending my say” I don’t want to generalize and say it was all the workers there was a man named “Chan” who had a very passive aggressive attitude with me and other people there. I understand that it’s a 5 star resort and it is on the pricier side but it constantly felt like they were also trying to capitalize on the necessities you’ll need because it is on an isolated island. (Word of advice go to the local village for things like pharmacy needs, cosmetic and booking boats and excursions it’s 10 times cheaper.) At the resort they will do things like charge nearly 30$ for a bottle of sunscreen at the gift shop because they know you’ll need it. Going back to this I tried to extend my stay with them and Chan told me I was going to have to pay double the original price if I wanted to stay another night I quickly went online and saw that it was half the price that he quoted and just immediately felt quite put off and like he was doing whatever possible to milk us financially when we are already being generous and willing customers. I was in a group of four people and everyone in my group had stomach issues after eating at the breakfast buffet so that was a problem as well. We were also not told that on the resort is a mosque and you will be woken up to the call of prayer frequently. I have no problem with people exercising there religious traditions I would just like a forewarning about being woken at 5AM to hear the it."

PP Princess Resort Hotels in Phi Phi Islands

"I am honestly surprised this hotel is rated as a 4-star property on booking platforms. Our experience was far below expectations. The hotel is very outdated and poorly maintained. The landscaping is overgrown, resulting in a large number of mosquitoes throughout the property. On our first day, the air conditioning in our room was not working and had to be repaired after we checked in. The bathroom was also in poor condition, with stains and visible mold on the walls, mirrors, and floors. Other disappointments included a badly sunken mattress, extra charges for the gym, no foot-washing station for guests returning from the beach, a strict limit of two bottles of water per day, and rude housekeeping staff when we requested one additional bottle. The worst incident happened on our third night. At around 12:30 a.m., the electricity in our room suddenly tripped while we were sleeping. With no phone in the room, we had to walk to reception in the middle of the night to report the issue. We were left standing outside our room in our pajamas, getting bitten by mosquitoes while waiting for assistance. The staff did not proactively offer us a new room—we had to request it ourselves. To make matters worse, no apology was offered during check-out for the disruption. For a hotel claiming to be 4-star, the lack of maintenance, poor service recovery, and overall guest experience were extremely disappointing. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel."

"Overall, the hotel is very good and I had a pleasant stay. The staff are excellent—very friendly, professional, and always willing to help. However, if you are a light sleeper, I would not recommend this hotel. There is a nearby nightclub, and the music can be heard throughout the night, which may disturb your rest. That said, the noise did seem to decrease later on, but it is still something to keep in mind when booking."

"Great quiet place to stay, easy to walk to town, far enough not to have the doof doof from town centre keeping you awake. Bathtub plug didn’t work, maybe ask if it’s working if that’s a feature you are after. Otherwise the place was brilliant, great view, lots of space, very romantic location. Food was great at the restaurant. Saw monkeys wandering around resort and there are cute cats everywhere on the island. Great diving even in low season. Black tip reef sharks, moray eels, clown fish, so much amazing corals."

"An okay place to stay with a million $ view from the rather splendid pool area.  The staff were friendly and accommodating and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.  However, we frequently experienced drainage smells in the room which wasn’t very nice. The hotel staff reaction to this was to spray air freshener to mask the smell 🤔  In addition, the TV in the room did not work and thus couldn’t be fixed for us and the rooms looked a little tired.  All in all, an okay place to stay for a short stay with amazing views and a great location for bars and restaurants."

Phi Phi at Pier ★★★
"Extremely satisfied! Five stars is the maximum rating here, but not the hotel's maximum potential, if you know what I mean! First, the hotel is just 50 meters to the right after disembarking from the pier. No need for further transfers, which saves a lot of time and hassle, especially since you don't have to climb any stairs. From what I observed, many hotels on the island, especially resorts, require you to climb stairs even if staff are assisting with transportation. Second, the hotel's sea-view rooms have balconies with lounge chairs, and the view is dotted with longtail boats – absolutely beautiful! It was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery after a day of activities. Third, the room was spacious and clean, with very new facilities. The subtle scent of aromatherapy was very pleasant, and the room looked exactly like the photos on their official website. Fourth, it offers great value for money and includes breakfast. There's a wide selection of fruits, bread, coffee, juice, fried rice, fried noodles, and desserts. You can also order omelets and ham for free, and the breakfast area is a sea-view restaurant! Fifth, the location is incredibly convenient. You can catch a boat to Long Beach right outside, walk 300 meters for kayaking, and there are plenty of restaurants and massage places nearby. Plus, there are two 7-Eleven stores within 100 meters – super convenient! Finally, and very importantly, I saw some reviews mentioning discrimination against Chinese guests, but I didn't experience anything like that at all. Everyone was equally friendly. I had emailed the hotel in advance, explaining that my parents are elderly and need extra care, requesting adjacent rooms with good balcony views. The hotel replied promptly and thoughtfully arranged everything. When we arrived at the front desk around 11 AM, they immediately brought us welcome drinks and even had one room cleaned for us so my parents could check in early and rest! The entire trip was wonderful! If I had to mention a downside, it would be the lack of a swimming pool. But honestly, when you're on Koh Phi Phi, who needs a pool?! There was also a little bit of noise, as it's close to the pier, but the hotel's floor-to-ceiling windows provided excellent soundproofing, so I didn't find it disturbing at all. Other than that, it's all positives! In short, our two-day trip to Koh Phi Phi was made even more enjoyable and happy thanks to this hotel!"
