"An island of warmth and family comfort in Samarkand! I traveled to Samarkand with my mom and staying at Siab Boutique Hotel was the best decision! The location is perfect - Registan, Shah-i-Zinda, Afrasiab Museum, and Bibi-Khanym Mosque are all within easy walking distance. The owners are a wonderful married couple. The husband is a historian and created an amazing sightseeing itinerary for us, while his lovely wife pampered us every morning with delicious, homemade breakfasts that she prepares herself. Housekeeping is excellent, everything is spotlessly clean. The young staff boys are absolute sweethearts - so friendly and always ready to help with anything. We wish this cozy family hotel all the success and prosperity in the world! Will definitely come back!"

"Cleanliness: Although the hotel is a bit old, it's incredibly clean and well-maintained. There were no strange odors inside, which shows their excellent housekeeping and odor control. The lobby always had a faint fruity scent, and our room was spotless. Facilities: The hotel breakfast was fantastic! Besides standard items like coffee, tea, milk, juice, and eggs, they offered a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and local pastries every day. For tourists who spend their days exploring, such a high-quality breakfast is essential. The complimentary bottled water in the room daily was also very practical! Service: All hotel staff spoke fluent English and Russian, so communication was never an issue. They were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. We needed to book an English-speaking tour guide for the next day; after explaining it to the front desk, they immediately helped us contact someone and quickly finalized the booking. The day after our tour, upon returning to the hotel, the staff even followed up to ask if we were satisfied with the experience, showing truly excellent service. Environment: The hotel's location is superb, situated within a pedestrian street, making it very safe. Most major attractions are just a 10-minute walk away. There are many guesthouses and shops nearby, and a square not far off where many locals stroll and walk their children after the sunset cools down, making for a very pleasant evening walk. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience at the Sangzor Hotel and highly recommend it to other visitors coming to Samarkand!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is excellent, with a bank, shops, supermarket, and cafes nearby, as well as a public transport stop. The rooms were clean and beautiful. Housekeeping cleaned daily, changed towels, and replenished toiletries. Two bottles of water were provided in our room every day. We booked with breakfast, and it was all delicious. When we checked out early, they even gave us a very generous lunch box, which we ate on the train, complete with cutlery and napkins. We stayed in room 203 on the second floor, and I was pleased that the air conditioner wasn't directly above the bed but in the hallway, so it didn't blow on us and was practically silent. The staff are very polite and speak Russian; they're always ready to explain and assist with anything you need. I was also happy that there was no outside street noise or sounds from neighbors in the room."

"Hotel Maroqanda was a great base for exploring Samarkand. The location is excellent, with easy access to many of the city’s famous landmarks. The room was comfortable and clean, making it a nice place to rest after a day of sightseeing. The staff were welcoming and helpful, providing good service throughout my stay. Although there are a few areas that could be improved, my overall experience was very positive. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located stay in Samarkand."

The room was clean and cozy, with everything you need. I especially want to highlight the very convenient location of the hotel, making it easy to get to the city's main attractions. A big plus is the sauna and swimming pool. After walking around the city, it was especially nice to relax in the hotel's spa area in the evening. This added even more comfort to my vacation. "I rarely write reviews, but I highly recommend this place. The location is good. Most importantly, the owner is incredibly friendly and makes you feel very welcome. It's also a big plus that the owner turns on the air conditioning for you in advance, there's a carpet, the bed is comfortable, and there are many TV channels. All in all, the attention to detail is almost impeccable, and it truly deserves its high rating!"

"Arrived in Samarkand in the early hours by train, and the hotel front desk was very efficient and quick with check-in. The AC was already turned on in the room, which was a nice touch. The room was a bit smaller compared to the Mövenpick in Tashkent (though this might just be a standard room with no deluxe twin option). The hotel itself is quite large and conveniently located near a university with many good breakfast choices. After housekeeping, clean towels and toiletries weren't immediately replenished, but after speaking with the front desk, they promptly rectified the situation. Their attitude and ability to resolve issues are definitely commendable."

"This is a good hotel with an excellent location, within walking distance of Samarkand's main attractions. The area is quiet and peaceful, and there are many international tourists among the guests, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. The staff deserves special thanks: always welcoming, attentive, and ready to help. On the downside, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, and the breakfasts seemed quite modest. Otherwise, I was satisfied with my stay. It's a great option for exploring historical Samarkand and walking around the old city."

"I thought this hotel was a fantastic value. I am a budget traveler and just want a clean, safe place with good wifi. This place was perfect for me. The location is incredible and convenient to the main attractions of the city. The farthest is the Prophet's Tomb, which is maybe a 40-45 minute walk. Everything else is just 5-15 minutes away. There are a bunch of restaurants, shopping, ice cream stands all around, including the bottom of the hotel is adjacent to a restaurant. The room itself was perfect. I had Room 12, which has a window that opens for lots of fresh air. It opens to a room with no visible others, so you get a lot of privacy as well. The wifi worked perfectly and the breakfast was a nice touch. I didn't see any bugs and had no problems with anything at all. The place was clean and I really enjoyed my stay."
