"One of my favorite hotel stays anywhere in the world. Exceptional service. Great Lake Shikotsu views from the rooms and the facility. Meals were outstanding both in their quality and interesting offerings. The negative reviews seem very out of place to us. Assume it is based on which room type selected. Our room was very clean, nice features - deluxe twin. Regarding meals, it is a set menu - if you are particular it may be better to dine elsewhere and order directly. For the Onsen, we did not use as I have tattoos. They do have nice baths in the rooms."

What’s more, they provide free airport shuttle service, which saved us a lot of trouble. In the morning, the golden sunlight streaming through the courtyard was absolutely stunning, adding a peaceful and beautiful start to our day. Considering all these, the price is really reasonable and worth it. Highly recommend this place for transit travelers!"

"I stayed here with my son and his wife for a celebration. This is a rare inn located right next to Lake Shikotsu. It is a long-established inn, and although it is undeniably old, it has a total of 8 rooms, an open-air bath, and children under 13 years old are not allowed to stay. It is a quiet and relaxing inn. You can spend time looking at Lake Shikotsu from your room and restaurant. There is no large public bath, but there are two private open-air baths. There is a terrace on the lake in front of the inn, and sparkling wine and oolong tea are available for free. After the bath, we cooled off slowly with wine. The food at this inn was the best. It was an Italian course, and everything was delicious, including Hokkaido sea urchin, beef, asparagus, etc. Breakfast was a Japanese meal, and each person was served rice in a pot. This is the best inn for those who want to spend a quiet and relaxing time."

"Terrible room and terrible service. We did not sleep well—the room was a sauna. Air-conditioning DID NOT WORK, and we couldn't open the windows because there was a sewage smell outside. Mountain view room faced directly into the parking lot, headlights and all. When we asked for a different room, it was a flat no. We could upgrade for more $. No sorries, no acknowledgement of a problem, no remedies. The onsen was dated and the good view was only comfortably available to 3 people at a time. The lakeside natural onsen is surrounded by rocks, you will not have a view there. Saving you the hassle, there are SO many better places to stay. It's a long drive there and it was overrun by tours buses."

"I arrived very early after taking an overnight flight. I asked the front desk if it was possible to check in earlier and mentioned that I was willing to pay an additional fee if needed. However, the front desk staff repeatedly told me that early check-in was not possible, and the tone was not very friendly. As a result, I had to wait until 3 p.m. while feeling very tired. The hotel room itself was clean and tidy, and all the necessary amenities were provided. I also had a very comfortable sleep that night."
