"The hotel is situated across the river from Benodet, and is a convenient location for touring the area and enjoying the location. The building appears to have been modernised and now offers very comfortable rooms. The bed was large and comfortable, and the shower room was large - very enjoyable. However the room lacked some comfortable chairs, and espresso coffee was the only beverage available. A good breakfast was offered in the downstairs breakfast room. We did not eat in the restaurant, as we considered it to be too expensive. Overall, it is a pleasant hotel, but overpriced for what is on offer."

"Lovely setting and nice rooms with view over river. Breakfast average for 15 euros. No air conditioning. Our stay was somewhat marred by discovering after a long day out that the bar and restaurant area was booked out for a private party. Staff were quite rude about telling us we couldn't even have a drink. The party went on way longer than advertised. All they needed to have done is tell us at breakfast that we wouldn't be welcome until 8pm. Disappointing that hotel guests get treated so shabby. Otherwise a really nice place."

"This hotel was the third hotel we stayed in during our 10 days long Brittany trip. If our experience at our first two hotels had not been beyond perfect, we would probably have liked this place very very much, but compared to the other two hotels we stayed in before, this hotel was a little weak: our room (no: 14) was a bit smaller in size, the front view we were expecting (we had booked via ******* a room with front view, ie, sea view) was not direct as we had envisioned but nevertheless we loved it here. The ambiance was very romantic, the building and its gardens were very peaceful. The indoor seating area with the large windows is legendary. The room where the breakfast is served (which is also the Michelin starred restaurant) has gorgeous views and the breakfast is very satisfactory as well. Location of the hotel is very central, parking lot is small, we had to park at an electric vehicle lot as there was no other vacant lot left. The main thing, though it's just a nuance, that bothered me was the sentiment at the entrance (not exactly a traditional hotel reception): one expects a very customer oriented greeting in such a hotel whereas what we have experienced was an impersonal, almost cold welcome. It was not rude, nothing like that, but it did not make us feel welcomed."

"We stayed two nights in a room overlooking the water.Fabulous view.Room was very bright and airy and nicely decorated in marine colours.Breakfast was adequate.Basic continental style with boiled eggs the only hot option.The restaurant again benefits from the fabulous location and we were fortunate to be there on two glorious sunny evenings.Food was good but not exceptional and somewhat overpriced.As ever I was astonished by the wine prices they ask in the country of origin.Service was efficient but somewhat impersonal but in fairness the place was absolutely packed on both nights. Certainly worth a visit if only for the fantastic location."
