Quinta Da Comporta - Wellness Boutique Resort

"We stayed for 4 nights at Quinta da Comporta in room 4B. The resort is beautifully located with rice fields visible from the restaurant terrace and includes a nice spa club. The room was very spacious and well designed, the bed extremely comfortable and the terrace very nice. The bathroom was large with private shower, private toilet, bath tube and 2 sinks. The toiletries were numerous. The mini bar was included in the price. Spa massages were quite good. The restaurant food was somehow improvised and not what we expected from a 5 star resort. The service was good. There is an outdoor swimming pool, even though there are quite a few children (ages between 0 - 11 years old)."

Sublime Comporta

"We have really enjoyed our stay at Sublime Comporta. The villa style rooms offer privacy and immaculate housekeeping. We have also taken full advantage of the pillow menu; particularly enjoying the aqua gel pillows. The breakfast is exceptional due to the high quality ingredients - the fruit and vegetables on the buffet are super fresh and premium quality. The gym is well air conditioned with a good variety of equipment. I would like to give a special mention to the staff who are accommodating and friendly. I do have a couple of niggles with the overall experience - Firstly, the hotel has a series mosquito problem. Mosquitos are a problem across Comporta but the indoor hotel lobby/bar appears to have more mosquitos than anywhere else I have visited. It is difficult to enjoy a drink in the lobby whilst constantly swatting mosquitos away - or worse being bitten. More should be done about this. Secondly, the beach club is well appointed but the prime position at the beach was taken up for most of our stay. The beach seats are supposed to work on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis but the front row seats near the ocean were mostly unavailable although generally empty during our stay. When we enquired about these seats, we were told that the owners of the hotel had reserved them. Of course, there is no arguing with that as it’s the owners prerogative to sit wherever they desire. Saying that; as a seasoned traveller, I find it extraordinary that the proprietors would deny their paying guests the opportunity to enjoy the prime seats during peak season. Their preference being to leave them empty."

"We had a super relaxing and wonderful time at Spatia. The property and rooms are absolutely stunning - remote while feeling connected to Comporta. Wonderful dining and amazing service, particularly from Kiran and Birendra. Cannot recommend Spatia highly enough."

Independente Comporta

"We had a terrible experience at this hotel. My pregnant wife became seriously ill with food poisoning after eating spoiled fish served at the hotel restaurant. The chef initially admitted the fish was off, but later, all staff completely denied. Despite repeatedly explaining that my wife was pregnant and suffering from severe diarrhea, there was no concern, care, or support from either the staff on the next 3 data. We felt ignored and dismissed, which made an already distressing situation even worse. I cannot recommend this hotel, especially to families or anyone with health concerns."
