"Meals : Absolutely the best meal we’ve had in a long trip around north western NSW. I wouldn’t have believed that out in the rugged Pilliga Scrub I could have found authentic German style food. Large and delicious meals at an affordable price. If your out this way, this is well worth a visit. Pottery : The place is literally covered in creative and artistic pottery and ceramic stuff. The potter has a capable artistic streak, but I went for the food."

"Still feel angry when thinking back on the moment the reception told us 8ish pm, when trying to check in, that night’s booking was cancelled due to their overbooking. The booking was made through their OWN website and CONFIRMED with their email. They said they called but it was not successful. I suppose in the industry you are well aware the motel customers are somewhere in the country area where phone coverage could be unpredictable, even with Telstra? That’s the only reason explained I didn’t receive any phone call? You sent the email to confirm the booking. There is no reason you can’t send an email to cancel. Perhaps try a second call or send a text message. Plenty of things you could have done to show a little bit of customer mindset."

"The motel is reasonably priced, but I think you are only getting what you pay for. The whole complex feels dilapidated, with weedy gardens, stained linen, a dripping tap, curtains falling off their racks and a loads of over due maintenance. The room was reasonably clean, but full of mosquitoes when we arrived and had to ask for bug spray. The room was not cleaned while we stayed there and it is not too easy keeping it clean with the dirt you pick up walking from the car park. The person who checked us in did not seem to know too much about motels. There were no meals, which was a large part of the reason for picking this motel rather than going into town. Lights were left on overnight, which spoils the whole dark park idea."

"Excellent service from Bridget & staff I had a small glitch with booking through a third-party ( FYI JUST RING THEM DIRECT FOR BEST SERVICE & PRICE) which I probably wouldn’t have picked up on as I was going down for Dad‘s funeral and probably wasn’t focusing as well as I could’ve been. These guys found it sorted it out all before I actually picked it up 12 days later & only when a credit went through and I got the notification, honesty beyond, thank you .Our room was very clean & spacious, bed & pillows were very comfortable, great shower nice and hot with good pressure, lovely complimentary Continental breakfast and Bridget made me a very good cappuccino, the motel is walking distance, actually across the road or next door. It’s that close to all types of food,dine in or Takeaway. I would recommend staying here and it will be my go to when travelling through Gunnedah. THANKS AGAIN FOR A COMFORTING STAY AT A DISTRESSING TIME."
