"This is the 2ed time staying here for 2 nights the price is ok the room is clean you get free tea and coffee in your room the breakfast is good value for money I believe it’s 15 pounds per person there is lots of fresh fruit cereal, a cooked breakfast as much tea and coffee as you like we didn’t go into the park this time as I have been in the wildlife Park before with my daughter this time we were visiting family the wildlife Park is amazing the staff at the Hex Hotel are super friendly . And professional. The only thing I would say negative about the hotel is checking after 4 pm. And you have to be out of the room by 10 am. I think check-in should be from 2 pm then that gives you a little bit longer in the room and maybe check out 11 am but apart from that I can’t fault this place but if you want to do an earlier check-in, they charge you £30. And if you want to upgrade your room, they charge you £15 per night to upgrade. . The shower is absolutely amazing. You have a rain shower and a smaller shower. You get two massive bath towels, two hand towels also shower gel body cream soap. That are individually. I will definitely be coming back and staying again. A short taxi ride into Doncaster town Centre where there is lots of bars that play music if you’re into that there’s also a designer outlet not far from the hex hotel. ."

"The first impression is always the most important to begin any stay at a hotel , regardless of budget or luxury. On checking in or should I state trying to check in was absolutely dreadful. This getting any guest back up , stood with luggage to checkin on a simple 2 room reservation under the same surname and paid in that name should be straight forward. But on this occasion the receptionist was finding it difficult to do. Simply stating only one room is booked! I knew this was incorrect as I had paid for 2 rooms both in our surname. Rudely she continued to hold a conversation with a colleague in another room from her reception chair! Dismissive of our conversation and concern of the 2nd room. She merely stated it was booked in what must be another name and to think about it. I was horrified as I knew both are same surname, she then laughed after us giving various intials , it wasn’t funny rather embarrassing to me personally. Then said that’s the one after going through all the surname initials . I booked and paid so what was the problem? Eventually got given key card , no verbal room numbers or apology. No tea or milk in room had to go ask. On returning key card would not work. Total nightmare!"

"Stayed for 3 night, can’t complain at all. Location is perfect located near a cinema and lots of food places including an Asda. Was privileged enough to stay in one of their renovated rooms, which were very well done and fall out gave it a nice homely atmosphere. noise level has to be one of the lowest I’ve stayed in and the cleanliness was too perfection. Not to mention the service where I felt welcomed every time I entered and left the building on top of that they even went above and beyond and helped me retrieve an item I left behind in my room, Thank you Marco. If you need a good place to say that has everything you need I would recommend."

"Currently staying here as it’s an ideal location for the racecourse (about a 15 minute walk). Check in was easy though the lady on the counter (oldish with hand tattoos) was rude, grumpy and abrupt. Though the two lads working on the bar on the evening were nice. The bar looks nice but is dated and doesn’t have any draught beers and does close early, although there’s a garage around the corner if you want to drink in your room (they did give me that option to also). Rooms are quite dated, mine has a lamp that doesn’t work and the plug for the bath was far too small so was only left with the option of a shower which isn’t ideal as I was with my toddler so I was unable to bathe her. The inside door doesn’t close either so for my safety I had to prop something in front of it just for my safety. If I were to go racing again and stay overnight I would stay here just for the location but that aside I wouldn’t go out of my way."

"It is a while since I have been here but when I went I thoroughly enjoyed this pub. It has a good atmosphere and the food was good also. All in all a good pub. I went with a friend and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit the staff were friendly and the atmosphere good. It is definitely a place I would recommend and go back to. Anne walker"
