Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu ★★★★
"It was not clean. Facial tissue ran out and the staff told that it was out of stock"
Pacific Paradise Motel ★★★
"Pros: Convenient- very near the airport for 150VT ~ 250VT Can walk to a nearby national bank to exchange local currency Close to a cafe (too hot) Can checkout late until lunch for free~500VT/hr Tour operators know this place and can request pickup/dropoff here Kind staff and manager Cons: Need to pay 1K VT for AC (the type of room I booked) Soap only, no other toiletries 20 mins walk to mall for restaurants Cash only"
Ramada Resort by Wyndham Port Vila ★★★★★
"very nice 👌 will come back again"
Grand Hotel & Casino ★★★★
"Good location, there is a casino downstairs, the hygiene is a little worse"
The Melanesian Port Vila ★★★
"The pictures definitely don't match the reality. We stayed in the hibiscus studio, that is basically a bed inside a kitchen. The casa mia restaurant is good."
Lagoon Gardens ★★★
"The owner and reception staff were very kind. Our Mount Yasur Volcano tour was canceled, but they called various tour companies from the morning. In the end, none of the companies had any vacancies that day, so we couldn't go, but they told us about other spots and how to get there, so we ended up having a fulfilling trip."
South Pacific Memories ★★★★
"Unique, elegant, and welcoming - South Pacific Memories is filled with flowers, art, and charm - with delicious food, gentle staff, and excellent dive instructors. The rooms are polished, bathroom and bed are up to European standards, and the handpainted murals make the space divine. I can’t say enough about the ambience - huge trees, Turkish lamps, and great conversation. If you find yourself there, you are among good company. There is room to park at the resort, and right outside the gate is village life Vanuatu. You don’t have far to go to see local lifestyles, but keep your eyes open when looking at the water as well - whales, dugongs, and rays are among the frequent visitors to the cove out front."
Nasama Resort ★★★★
"It was a really nice stay! Spacious room and really comfortable bed!"
Mangoes Resort ★★★★
"Not cost-effective, no air conditioning, little musty smell"

Coco Beach Resort
"I’ve just been reading some other reviews before I began and I’m struggling to understand some of the negative comments. Coco Beach was on our short list because it very clearly advertises as Adults Only. Travelling in off season meant the resort was at low capacity which was incredibly peaceful for those of us there to unwind and relax which is precisely what we were able to do over 7 glorious days. This is an older style resort and based on our research - exactly what we expected. No organised activities, No Day Spa, No noise, Nothing nearby except another beach. Fresh simple food done well. Cold drinks and unassuming hosts who will do what they can to assist you - when you are polite. Fresh, clean bures with old style coral walls in the bathrooms. We chose a room with air-con due to the time of year. Rooms are serviced daily. Beds are comfy and linen is fresh and crisp although some pillows could do with an update. Our days were spent between the open air waterfront restaurant, which could do with some fans, loungers under a tree on the beach, the pool and the sea. Entire grounds are immaculate beautiful tropical gardens and swept daily. Incredible swimming at all tides due to a canal through the reef to allow boat access and plentiful sea life on and around the reef when snorkelling. We took our own gear because it was to be a main activity of our holiday and this wasn’t our first island trip. You never get decent gear in resorts. We took the water taxi to town one day and the trip on the bay was a little tour in itself. Even detoured to ferry some local school kids across the inlet on the way home. Another day we arranged a local bus driver to take us to Blue Lagoon (where we also snorkelled) and returned via 83 Islands Rum Distillery before lunch in town with our driver at his favourite ramen noodle joint. Picked up some snacks and drinks at the supermarket and that was us. Every FAQ in TA forums will tell you to do this. Back to the resort for the rest of our stay. It has been my experience that it is rare anywhere in the South Pacific Islands to stay at a unique small, peaceful resort that your entire stay will go off without a hitch. Nothing drastic happened and any glitches were dealt with smoothly and effectively. Remember that you are on Island Time and there is absolutely nothing you can or should want to do about it if your hosts are taking care of you. Go with what you DO have not complain about what you don’t. No-one should choose a place like this if they want to be amused. Chill out, relax and enjoy the magnificent sunsets. Or get up early just to sit on the dock and watch a cruise ship come in. Coco Beach truly allowed us to switch off, wind down and re-connect. Thanks to H and the team for your hospitality. Truly loved our time with you. Thank you te mass."
Breakas Beach Resort
"Fantastic team!!! Very friendly. Everything was very clean and organized."
Crown Royale Hotel & Lounge
"This hotel was perfect for my one night in Port Vila. The room was clean and comfy and they helped me with airport transfer even when my flight was last minute. The staff went above and beyond to help me and make sure I was looked after. Would 100% recommend staying here to anyone!"
Tropicana Lagoon Apartments
"I am not one to complain or make negative comments about our stays however I feel I need to mention a few items. From the moment we arrived we felt very awkward, like we had interrupted a family gathering. There were more workers than guests. The Resort was neat, tidy and crisply painted white-looked appealing. Colonial style rooms wooden floorboards high ceiling with fan and nice balcony overlooking the river from the lagoon-wouldn’t recommend swimming in there. No hot water and only one towel between us, despite asking management twice to review, never got fixed. Beers were warm and not well stocked- we went and bought cold beers from the supermarket. The vibe of the place was totally off-despite us both trying to convince each other it would be relaxing we couldn’t quite shake off the feeling. The chef cooked an amazing dinner one of the best meals we had in Vanuatu-what an asset to the Resort. We had booked 4 nights and only stayed one. The Manager had no insight when we checked out even when we mentioned having no hot water was an issue. He asked us where we were going to stay which we replied back in town. He just shrugged his shoulders like it wasn’t the first time he had had this conversation or interaction with guests. We did not ask for our money back just clocked it up to an experience!! Would I recommend people to stay…no however if you are just wanting a home base and you venture out all day and come back for dinner I would recommend, hopefully you get to have a hot shower. "
Fatumaru Lodge
"Lying down to the sound of the waves with my partner, I felt so happy. It's just that the accommodations in Vanuatu are all pretty much the same – rather primitive, but still very beautiful."
Trees and Fishes Private Retreat
"The hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the city center and is not very large. It has its own beach and small pier. Guests can use canoes and SUPs for free; masks need to be rented. It's recommended to rent a car. The hotel charges 7000 VAT for a one-way trip to the city center, and 30,000 VAT for a full day's use with a driver. They don't give room keys; they say it's only for staff and guests, so there's nothing to worry about. Even our room door was difficult to close properly, so we just left it open. The food at the hotel wasn't very good. Breakfast was okay, but the penne pasta we ordered for lunch was extremely salty, and the fish burger for dinner had a bread as hard as a baguette. The pizza was okay, and the fries were good. The scenery is beautiful. We stayed for four nights, but lunch and dinner were the most inconvenient."
Warwick le Lagon Resort & Spa, Vanuatu
"We love the pool and all the water activities"
The Havannah Vanuatu - Exclusively for Adults
"The location is amazing on the point in Havannah Harbour with stunning views to Moso island and Lelapa Island. From the the staff greeting us with a welcome song when we first arrived to the service at every meal the staff are amazing. So happy and friendly and willing to go out of their way to ensure we were looked after. Nothing seemed like a problem. The snorkelling of the resort is amazing just go at high tide when it’s not so dirty. Can’t exactly put into words how amazing our time was here."
lake view apartment
"The hotel boasts an elegant, comfortable, and welcoming environment, offering stunning lake views right from your bed. Guests can enjoy fishing in the evenings, with fresh catches of various fish daily. Those who prefer to cook can also purchase groceries and prepare their own meals. The hotel offers comprehensive and convenient facilities, creating a home-away-from-home atmosphere."
Le Life Resort
"My son and I stayed at the hotel in cottage #4 by the sea in July 2026. The hotel itself is decent, and the price matches the quality – it's not expensive. We only had breakfast at the hotel (mostly omelets with vegetables and hot chocolate). We didn't opt for lunch or dinner because we had read previously that they were expensive. I pre-booked the airport transfer via email with the hotel; they replied promptly. A one-way transfer cost 12,000 in local currency, which we paid by credit card upon arrival. We also booked the return transfer through the hotel, which cost 120 USD. Honestly, I think the transfer was pricey, but I couldn't find any online taxi services, and the hotel is over 60 km from the airport, so I had to go with this option as there were no others. After leaving the airport, we stopped at a supermarket to buy food to replace hotel lunches and dinners. The cottage has everything: hot water, good bedding, and towels. There's also a gas stovetop, dishes, a kettle, plates, spoons, and forks, so you can cook your own meals. However, there's nowhere to buy groceries near the hotel, so we stocked up at the supermarket upon arrival. There's no safe or slippers in the room. The hotel grounds are large, with plenty of places to walk and a long beachfront. The staff are polite and pleasant, and the hotel grounds are well-maintained. Overall, that aspect was great. What I didn't like: there's no internet in the room, which was a significant issue for me. Internet is only available in the hotel lobby, where the reception and dining area are, which is a real shame. Luckily, our cottage was right by the reception, so that was convenient. Also, be aware that there are very strong low tides on the beach until noon, though this wasn't a major concern for us; we just walked along the ocean, which was wonderful."
Waves at Surfside
"Since the moment we stepped off the plane we have done nothing but smile, relax and be immersed in the beauty of this country. Waves at Surfside was a truely magical experIence, beach at the front door, falling to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing, own swimming pool and beautiful amenities. A big shout out and thank you to Katia and her thoughtful, kind staff. Katia booked all our jaw dropping tours! Zip lining, horse riding, snorkelling with turtles, visiting a neighbouring island learning about their culture, seeing beautiful lagoons and finishing with the fire show at the Beach Bar to name a few. Our tour guides were exceptional, knowledgeable and so friendly. Always on the look out how to make our time with them memorable. We loved how we were not treated as a number and were constantly thanked for coming to visit their country. We were also able to use the washing machine and cooking facilities which saved money but also dine out if we wished. If you are looking for a place to make memories look no further Waves at Surfside is your place. Thank you Jacquie, Richard and Helena"
Erakor Island Resort & Spa
"This facility is pretty good in an island country! Super nice sea view room, 24-hour hotel ferry, all the staff are very friendly, I will come again next time! This is the photo I took for you"
port vila airport hotel
"The owner is from Guizhou, China. The service is excellent, and the overall conditions are great. It's excellent value for money. Thumbs up! 👍"
MG Cocomo Resort Vanuatu
"Best Resort in Port villa..budget friendly. Nice atmosphere, good service. Close to airport, supermarket. Cleaning service 10/10 , staff were always ready to help. Good for families because small park and swimming pool available for kids too."
Mariner Apartments
"Lovely place to spend your days in Port Vila! The staff are so friendly, the view from the balcony is amazing and the place is modern and clean! If your looking for a place within walking distance of everything Port Vila has to offer at an affordable price with modern amenities then Mariners is perfect"
Vanuatu Beachfront Apartments
"This really is a great place to stay in Efate. A beautiful, quiet, sandy beach stretches in both directions and the water is very safe for swimming. Only a few minutes walk to the Beach Bar (good for dinner, Friday fire show and Sunday circus), and the snorkelling on Hideaway Island is well worth the 2000 vat island fee. Tanna Coffee is only about 30 walk up the beach, good for coffee and a meal or snack. We bought tasty pawpaws and local cakes from nearby shops and roadside stalls. Easy to catch one of the local busses to town (300 vat). Our unit was beside the deck, where we ate breakfast and dinner, and had a beer while the sun set. Comfortable and clean room. Bus on site for airport transfers and tours."
