"This is a functional little hotel that is close to the train station. Don't expect luxury, but you can expect friendly and warm service, and a spacious room. The reason I booked this hotel was due to the rail strikes. I was on a business trip and meant to be taking the train to London that evening but wasn't able to. Furthermore, it was the Cheltenham races and all the other places had already been booked out. This room was a lifesaver for me. I was exhausted from an intense itinerary and needed a place to sleep and freshen up. I was pointed to the supermarket close by. As there were all the cutlery and even a microwave in the room, I had no issues rustling up a hot meal for myself. I am giving this hotel a high rating because the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I just want to make it very clear that guests need to understand this is not a fancy establishment designed for holidaying, but if you are travelling for work purposes, this will come close to being home away from home."

"Hotel is modern and clean. Rooms very spacious and comfortable quality bedding. Large bed. Shower and bathroom clean and modern. Nice touch with bottle water and hospitality tray. Breakfast was TERRIBLE. Food run out, waiting lengthy time for restock, tables dirty, poor selection of tea, milk (non dairy) and breads. Continental platter was ham and cheese- embarrassing! No eggs for 20 mins. Plates burning hot, sausages. Really cheap and didn’t even taste like sausage! Worst breakfast ever eaten in a hotel. Shame as the rest of hotel was good in every way."

"A hotel in the suburbs, the environment is quiet and beautiful, but the front desk service attitude is average. They arranged a room for us at the door of the corridor. It was noisy when people passed by in the morning. In addition, parking is charged."

"Good location if you have a vehicle and there's free parking behind the property. Hosts very helpful My room had separate entrance from garden which was nice. There's a breakfast area and access to tea coffee supplies. Fresh towels if you want. Gloucester cathedral not far. Buses nearby."
