The living room has been tastefully decorated for your comfort. The bedrooms are separated by the single bath which has fine linens provided as well.In the kitchen you will find granite counter tops and every tool you will need for your delicious meal preparation. Visit historic Greeneville, TN, located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This property is across the street from the Homestead, home of the 17th President, Andrew Johnson. The home is within walking distance of this National Historic Site, and also within walking distance of Andrew Johnson's Tailor Shop and U. S. National Park Service. Both of these historic sites can be toured. The home is also a few blocks from the center of downtown Greeneville which includes the Dickson Williams Mansion, a historic mansion and museum. This Federal Style Mansion was built in 1821 and was commandeered by both Confederate and Union troops during the Civil War. Daily guided tours are available to the public. There are many opportunities for outdoor activities within close driving distance. These activities include golfing, hiking to waterfalls, white water rafting, and snow skiing in the winter. There are many antique stores in the area. Greeneville is also near Tusculum University, a private Presbyterian university with its main campus in Tusculum, TN. It is Tennessee's first university and the 28th oldest in the United States. Greeneville also is the home of Walters State Community College, with a beautiful new campus near downtown. The fully equipped kitchen is a chef's delight, stocked with all the pots, pans, cooking utensils, and spices you could possibly need to whip up delicious meals during your stay.Follow the wide hallway to find the sleeping quarters. The first bedroom features a queen bed and direct access to the hall bathroom, complete with a shower and tub. Next, the bunk room is perfect for kids or extra guests, featuring two twin over twin bunk beds.The primary bedroom, boasts a California king-sized sleep number bed and a charming electric fireplace. The jacuzzi tub is currently not operational until mid-October 2024.The basement and lower garage are off-limits and used for storage. Occasionally the owner will access the garage for grounds maintenance items. There is usually someone from grounds keeping on the property daily to take care of the chickens in the coop in the backyard but this should not interfere with the guests in the home.Guest accessYou have access to the entire main level of the home which has no steps. There is even the option of a no step entry from the carport up the small ramp to the porch and in front door. The lower garage and basement is locked and will be off limits to guests.Other things to note:This home sits on 3 acres surrounded by trees and fields. Elsa, a gray neighborhood cat, may stop by to greet new guests staying at the house. You also might see or encounter wildlife while staying with us, including, but not limited to: deer, opossum, squirrels, rabbits, skunk, bear, coyotes, birds, snakes, beetles, bees, gnats, spiders, and ants. These creatures reside in nature and we have no control over them. Our property is regularly treated for pests. However, insects and small critters may make their way in despite our efforts. Please keep the doors closed. The longer the door is open, the more chances that bugs/flies will get inside.
