Grindelwald for the first time, and after four days and three nights, this place is perfect. It's right by the bus and train stations, so you can hop off the train from Interlaken, walk through the terminal, and Eiger Lodge is right behind the parking lot. Buses take you all around Grindelwald, even to the main street. The terminal has a Coop, so groceries are super easy. The hotel has an awesome view of the valley and is super clean. They have breakfast every day, and even though it's the same stuff, I still liked it. Heads up, there's some construction going on that might block the view a little, but it's not a big deal. I'd totally stay here again if I come back.

Excellent, and super close to the train station. It's a seamless five-minute walk from the station exit, easily accessible by elevator. Breakfast was good; while the selection wasn't huge, it had a very fresh and authentic feel. The views are absolutely stunning!! It's also incredibly convenient for visiting both First and Jungfraujoch.

A small hotel right by the station. It's very convenient for the cable car, but there's practically no view. I was informed during booking about ongoing renovations and potential noise, but since I was out early and back late, I didn't hear anything.

The hotel staff were very friendly, and the hotel's location is excellent. However, we checked in late. When we arrived at Grindelwald Terminal station, it was raining and pitch black everywhere, and we even struggled to find our room, which was quite an overwhelming experience. I also wouldn't recommend the ground floor rooms, as they don't offer views of the picturesque mountain slopes.

Our room was on the second floor, and it seemed the hotel was undergoing a phase two expansion, as our window view was dominated by scaffolding. What's more, the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. We stayed in mid-August during a heatwave, and the staff could only provide us with a fan. Fortunately, the evening temperatures weren't too high, so we managed. The room's amenities were also incredibly basic. For a room costing over 2000 a night, there wasn't even a bedside table. It really just underscores how high prices are in Switzerland. On the plus side, the location is very convenient; you can spot the hotel right from the train station exit. The staff were also quite pleasant.

The hotel is very conveniently located and has a distinct youth hostel vibe. The service was excellent, and the breakfast spread was comprehensive. Free parking is available. However, there were a few downsides: The rooms are quite small, and our window directly overlooked a building under construction, so there was absolutely no view to speak of. For a better view and good food, I'd recommend trying the second floor of the restaurant located outside the hotel. Room amenities were basic: no slippers, the bathroom lacked a proper door, there was no fridge or safe, and no toothbrushes were provided. The toiletries were a 3-in-1 combo, so you'll definitely need to bring your own conditioner – fortunately, I had picked some up from my previous hotel. There's a train station right outside the hotel, but trains to popular destinations like Lauterbrunnen don't depart from here; I'm not sure where this particular station goes. On the bright side, it's very close to the Jungfraujoch cable car station, just a few hundred meters' walk away. The hotel has ample and spacious parking spots. The hotel's own restaurant only serves breakfast and is not open for lunch or dinner. Tip: If you're booking, try to secure a front-facing room with a balcony. These are slightly larger, and you can sit and enjoy the outside view. I don't recommend the side rooms without balconies, as they are very close to the construction site and can feel quite claustrophobic. The staff were very friendly and kindly provided free public transport cards and chocolates, which was a nice gesture. Laundry facilities are available, and detergent is provided. Both washing and drying each cost 5 CHF per cycle. The overall facilities are relatively basic. There's a drink machine on the ground floor, but it only sells Red Bull. The room floors are concrete, the ceilings are wood, and the rooms are quite low-ceilinged. My biggest dissatisfaction was the Wi-Fi. To connect to the hotel's 'free' Wi-Fi, authentication was required, asking for a Chinese mobile number. However, I couldn't receive the verification code. The other option was 'free time claim', but it demanded entering detailed credit card information. I found this utterly confusing and unacceptable. Having stayed in so many hotels, this was the first time I've encountered 'free' Wi-Fi that requires credit card details. Ultimately, I did not use it.

Great experience staying at Eiger Hotel. Place was clean and had great views. Right beside Girndelwald terminal and hotel provide free Grindelwald travel pass (can take their bus 121,122,123). Staff was friendly. Would recommend!

The hotel is just 1 block away from the Grindelwald terminal and with on-site parking available. Room is spacious & clean. However they do not provide a table in the room, so if you’re thinking to eat-in, its not very ideal.

The breakfast was excellent. Location is right behind Grindelwald Terminal. Email sent prior to arrival was very helpful! Luggage storage was convenient. Overall, we were very happy with the stay. Improvement: Can provide box tissue in the washroom & consider adding a blind/ cloth as a door for the shower place.

Good location and just beside Grindelwald Terminal, less than 5 minutes walk. Breakfast is good. Happy with our stay. Highly recommended.
