Echarm Hotels in Guangzhou

I chose this hotel primarily due to its proximity to the metro and the appealing photos shared online, which initially gave a good impression. However, upon arrival, the actual condition of the hotel did not quite match the images. The property appeared somewhat run-down, and it was farther from major tourist attractions than expected. Communication with the front desk was also challenging due to a significant language barrier. On a positive note, the surrounding area had some conveniences, including a good dim sum restaurant across the street, a mini grocery store, a McDonald’s, and a nearby pharmacy. Despite these nearby amenities, I personally would not recommend this hotel, especially for families. It did not feel particularly secure or family-friendly. For example, food delivery personnel were allowed direct access to the hotel floors and could leave orders right at the room door, which raised safety and privacy concerns. Additionally, I found it inappropriate that items such as condoms were available for purchase via QR code inside the room. Overall, my experience fell short of expectations, and I would suggest exploring other accommodation options for a more comfortable and secure stay. I

An unexpectedly delightful and comfortable stay – this hotel is definitely worth revisiting multiple times! The hotel I picked for this business trip completely surpassed all my expectations. Every single detail, from check-in to check-out, made me feel incredibly well-cared for. I absolutely have to recommend it to everyone! First off, the location is fantastic. The hotel is right by a subway entrance, making it super convenient whether you're heading to the shopping district or catching a high-speed train, and it's only a 15-minute walk. No need to drag your luggage around unnecessarily! During check-in, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They proactively helped with my luggage, gave a thorough overview of the hotel's facilities, and even thoughtfully suggested some great local eateries nearby. This immediately made me feel at ease in an unfamiliar city. The room itself was an even bigger pleasant surprise. As soon as I opened the door, a faint, pleasant aroma filled the air – absolutely no strange smells. The bed had the perfect firmness, and the pillows were just right. After a long day of work, I could instantly relax the moment I lay down, ensuring a truly restful night's sleep. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable: the sheets and duvet covers were pristine, the bathroom was spotless with excellent wet/dry separation, and even the vanity mirror was entirely free of water stains. As a detail-oriented person, I was thoroughly impressed and felt incredibly comfortable. What truly impressed me, however, was the thoughtful service. One evening, while working late, my phone was running low on battery. I called the front desk to ask for a charger, and not only did they promptly deliver a compatible one, but they also brought a warm bottle of milk, mentioning they noticed my room light was on and were concerned I might be working late into the night. That level of care was truly touching. The convenient breakfast offered the next morning was also quite substantial, perfect for grabbing on the go to tide me over until I reached the high-speed train. During check-out, the staff even proactively inquired about my stay and whether there were any areas for improvement – their dedication to guest satisfaction truly won me over. I will absolutely choose this hotel again on my next visit to the city, and I've already recommended it to my colleagues and friends. It's genuinely a fantastic choice for everyone!

The receptionist had a delightful smile and proactively introduced the hotel's facilities during check-in. She thoughtfully recommended local dining spots and attractions, and even presented a small gift upon departure, which made me feel incredibly welcomed! The service was truly excellent; greetings in the local dialect instantly made me feel at home, and the seamless multi-language communication ensured that even a visitor from afar could experience the warmth of home.

Almost everything is awesome except for breakfast, the menu is almost the same everyday and mainly Chinese meal options while no true western menu is available. Also take note if you are taking metro from exit b there's no escalator when going down to the metro so be prepared to carry the luggage down

It is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. Staff are very polite and friendly. It's our second time at the hotel and will be staying there again at our next visit to Guanghzou. Easy walking distance to Metro line 9. Big thank you to the front desk staff. 1 recommendation is to maybe make a small side of the hotel for smokers as I could smell some cigarettes. Thank you 😊 🙏

I choose this hotel cause have many good review, its location near subway station and price not so expansive. Many local restaurant near the hotel. This hotel is not big but the service is very Good. - Front desk is very welcome and help us to bring our luggage to our room. - Bedroom is big enough for trip with 2 kids, its clean and Noise from outside is not audible. - They also help us to clean our laundry for free, so we can drop the laundry in the morning and when we get beck, its already dry. - we can also clean and dry our laundry by our self, they have 2 set laundry machine and give free laundry detergent and laundry softener. - Breakfast many variation food, my recommend should try their Noodle soup, its meat ball so delicious. I recommend this hotel for business or traveling. I will stay in this hotel again next time I visit Guangzhou.

The hotel has a good environment, complete facilities, many restaurants nearby, and is close to Guangzhou South Station. The air conditioning in the room is cool, the staff is enthusiastic, the room is clean, tidy and comfortable. I will stay here again next time. It's OK! !

Overall - 3/10  Good:  - The facilities and service were amazing. The staffs were quick when we had problems and issues. The hotel was very considerate with free water provided everyday in front of the reception. We also appreciate the laundry service with dryer for free. They also have AI and Smart technology in the hotel.  - Breakfast was not bad. I enjoyed the noodles soup and their dimsum. Bad:  - We changed the room because of leaking from the sink which caused flood in the bathroom. Sadly, after changing the room, the new room was leaking too but this time from the toilet bowl. We only stayed for 2 nights so didn't bother to change a new room again.  - The name of the hotel was confusing and misleading. It says Echarm (Beijing Road Pedestrian Street Xi Men Kou Station), but it was so far from Bei Jing Road. My intention was to live some where near Bei Jing Road with walking distance but we had to take cab every time because of the misleading name from the ads.  - Also with the location. I used Didi (like Uber or Grab) to travel back to the hotel at night. Unfortunately, the driver stopped at a different hotel which requires 7 minutes walk from the dropped off location. On the first night, I thought it was my problem putting a wrong location. But we faced the same issue (dropped at same wrong location by different driver) on the second night and my parents were dropped off at the wrong location too. This was very disappointing and someone need to fix this. Walking on small alley at midnight was not safe and it was scary. Would recommend anyone staying here and using Didi to put the hospital next to the hotel as dropped off location if you don't want to get dropped off at a random place at night. 

The hotel environment was very comfortable. The free parking was a huge plus, saving us the hassle of finding a spot and giving us peace of mind when we went out. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful and provided excellent service. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Guangzhou.

Great central location right next to a stretch of famous malls in Guangzhou. Hotel-wise, the staff were kind and helpful, letting me use the hotel phone to make local calls when my phone didn't work. The staff also let me borrow a SIM card tray pin when I needed it. The lift requires key card access and there is a night guard patrol so it felt extra safe. For all parcels and food delivery, there is a set drop-off/pick-up point in front of the reception. Location-wise, it's tucked away inside a Cotti Coffee so just take note. You'll see the reception desk the moment you step into Cotti Coffee. Also take note that you should cross the road to Tiyu East Road to take a Didi because the roads around the hotel are perpetually jammed and there's no hotel drop-off point either way. Room-wise, I encountered a cockroach, but it's normal because the hotel is situated amidst a busy food street (great place for night market activities and supper). The staff ensured that they sprayed my room down with insecticide every day after that, and I never saw another critter again.
