"The bathroom appears small but is quite spacious. The room is clean, bed is comfy, and the location is near Himeji Station, close to several convenience stores. Although the room is a bit small, everything else is good."
"This hotel is lovely and we slept well. The desk service was friendly and helpful and the location is good for the train station, shopping, and the cultural visits like the Himeji Castle.
The hotel also has a surprise- a chapel on the 14th floor and a stained glass window and pretty lights decorating the hallway at the entrance.
Furthermore, the hotel has a little cafe and is in the same building as some convenient shopping."
"Schönes Gasthaus, sehr sauber, super freundlicher Gastgeber.
Empfehlenswertes Gasthaus!!!"
"The hotel is next to a small shopping mall, and it's a 5 to 10-minute walk to the station, main shopping area, and dining area.
The room we stayed in was nice, with an indoor private bath, and it's worth staying there."
"Booked a double room on the refurbished floor 30m (extra bed)
Right outside the south exit of Himeji Station, friendly service, luggage storage available
It's a completely new room, the bed is not too soft, and there are 2 different pillows.
Long and deep bathtub, large amount of water, DHC toiletries, strong hair dryer
Free bottled water, coffee machine, tea bags
Breakfast is also delicious"
"It's within walking distance from the station, there's a shuttle bus, the baths are nice, and there's an izakaya inside, so I was able to refresh myself on the weekend. There was a bicycle available, so I was able to rent one for free. I was able to see Himeji Castle rising into the night sky. There was also an unmanned convenience store inside the building, which was interesting. And the breakfast was good too. I enjoyed the seafood bowl, French toast, and almond toast. I'll go again. Well, this is already a repeat."
"The staff were nice enough but gave very little information about the facility and it was only from looking at the guide I knew about WiFi etc. there’s also a rooftop terrace, laundry, rest area etc which they didn’t mention and I didn’t use because of this. Breakfast didn’t look anything special and was a little cold but actually tasted far nicer than I was expecting. Hotel is old but otherwise ok, small rooms as per Japan. Bit of an odd location as its just outside a shopping centre you had to walk through from the station to get there but it’s about halfway between the station and castle"
"The location is a bit remote, and shopping is convenient nearby. If you have a car, it's okay. The room is still small. The TV and air conditioner are good and have a sense of technology. "The location is great, right next to JR. There are also shopping malls and restaurants nearby, and you can reach Himeji Castle in a 10-minute walk.
The breakfast is well received and has a relatively wide variety.
The front desk service attitude is also very good.
The room is tidy and the design is quite fresh. However, there happened to be a small yellow stain on my quilt. It must have been from the previous guest, or it may have been stained and cannot be washed off. Anyway, I felt a little uncomfortable when I saw it.
But overall the price/performance ratio is pretty good~"
"The transportation location is okay, relatively close to Himeji Station, very close to Himeji Castle, and within the shopping street.
Facilities: You must check in before ten o'clock in the evening. You will not be able to check in after that time.
Environment: Average, it's a space capsule and the air conditioning is relatively adequate.
Service: The service is also available. There is no Chinese service, but English and Japanese are available.
The price is a bit more expensive, after all, Japan."

Great
GGuest UserIt's a short walk from Himeji Station, and there are several restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it's very convenient. The room was clean and spacious enough for one person. I like Dormy Inn because it has a large hot spring bath and laundry in the dressing room. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with conger eel rice, nyumen, Himeji oden, sukiyaki, almond toast, and more.
GGuest UserQuiet location but still only minutes from station and shops. We stayed for an extended period as visiting family and Stayed in a twin room which is a very good size. Plenty of room to ‘live’ . Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, great choices and all very fresh. The breakfast area being used as a ‘lounge’ with free drinks from 2-8pm was very useful. Cannot speak highly enough of our stay.
One very minor thing, is that there is no room safe so if you feel the need to lock valuables away they have to be deposited with reception.
Would highly recommend Richmond Hotel.
SShin-Woei FannThis hotel locates just near by the JR Himeji station, probably the most popular area in the city. Most of the restaurants are on the other side of the rail so it is crowded at all around the hotel. There is also a complex mall includes supermarket and groceries store next street.
The services is good and offer free drinks in the lobby.
GGuest Userit's a typical Japanese business hotel, small but clean and efficient. good location, a few minutes walk from the station, easy to go to everywhere by foot too. Staffs are nice and helpful. Will surely recommend it.
PPerryVery near to Himeji JR Station, just 7 minutes walk. Many malls & conveniences around the hotel building. But for me it's a little hard to find, as it's on the 7th floor of an older building & signage is not very obvious. Front desk staff are all nice & helpful, but most don't speak English & a little hard to communicate. Hence it took me a while to navigate & understand the pod area by myself and it was like a maze at first. Overall a pleasant stay. Thank you!
LlarryszeIt was my first time to experience a hot spring hotel. Overall it was very comfortable. Although it is not a new modern hotel, it was a good feeling to experience Japanese culture. There were more Japanese people staying this time. Although we were tourists, the staff entertained us very warmly. Dinner and breakfast were very rich. Although the road is a bit far from the city center, it is still worthwhile to experience this hotel. The room is very large and the scenery is great. It's so spectacular. There are small bugs in the natural environment. It is recommended not to open the windows. Everything else is impeccable. The hotel's care products are also very complete and facial masks are provided. Overall, it is highly recommended.
IIrene SheApart from the water supply issue in the room, the rest are perfect. The breakfast was good, and the night views from the hotel was spectacular. The water supply in the room was too slow, and I had to go to the public bathroom for brushing teeth. The staff offered to upgrade us to another room, but we don't like the 2 single beds room so we decided to stay in the one King bedroom that we reserved.
AAlashanmengIt's an 8-minute walk from the JR station. The proprietress is enthusiastic and has a good family atmosphere. It's surrounded by commercial streets. It's very close to Himeji Old Town and a 5-minute walk. It's suitable for solo travel.
YYING KIT HENRYIt is located next to the JR station, includes breakfast and dinner, has a hot spring bath, and rooms and corridors above the 12th floor can overlook the passing Shinkansen, which is something that very few Japanese hotels can offer nowadays!
JJonathan Tak ShingMy wife and I stayed at a Japanese-Style Room with Japanese Cypress Open-Air Bath on the Terrace. The hotel has English speaking staff who was very friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were amazing, and the servers Mr Shiraiwa and Ms Yamaguchi provided excellent services. This is one of the best onsen ryokans we have experienced, and we look forward to returning.
