Wonderful people working here! The breakfast is really nice as well! Add the hotel number on WeChat to request the pick up at the airport or train station, and it was really nice of them to include it. The room was clean, there was a heated mattress and heated floors so it was very warm and comfortable. There's a convenience store really close if you need to get anything and the hotel is extremely close to the old town, but just on the outskirts (so it is quiet). Lots of really good restaurants within 5 minute walk. I would recommend having something to hang things on (like jackets), as it was hard to find places to put them, although lots of comfortable sitting areas. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It was a pleasure stay. The owner gave free ride for pick up and drop off to Shangri-La railway. The owner is so kind I wish I could speak their language.
The hotel is so pretty and comfortable. You can see the big temple view from outside and inside the hotel.
The room is so large and bed is so comfy. I am not so sure it was so cold but with the blanket I feel the warmth.
It has oxygen concentrator for you if you have acute motion sickness.
Lastly the owner found me an electric car (scooter) so that I can go to Heidou Cafe, Yila Grassland and Napa Lake. He even helped me to give exact location to those attractions.
The hotel is so walkable to the big Buddha Temple.
I recommend for those who come with family it is good place to stay.

The owner of this inn is a very classy person. He picked us up on our first day. The front desk lady was very welcoming and easy to chat with. The rice noodle auntie also made delicious breakfast and was incredibly welcoming. The owner's cocktails were also delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful, especially the music. The room was the best we've ever stayed in Yunnan. It was very clean and had a heater, a humidifier, a small refrigerator, and a separate wet and dry bathroom. It's also very close to the ancient city and conveniently located. We're so glad we chose this inn and will definitely return next time we have the chance. And there are some adorable kittens.

"I was impressed with that ornate set-up of the room and yet equipped with modern technology. It has a modern bidet!!! Another new experience is to sit on a motorized trishaw. The owner drove his red little modernized trishaw to pick us up on the nearby public bus stop. It saved us a ton !! Otherwise, we have to drag the luggage on that cobblestone path in a rainy night. "We planned our trip to Yunnan quite last minute and luckily managed to book this B&B â and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations! The hosts were so nice, helpful, and friendly, treating us more like family than guests. They even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off, which made everything so convenient.
We also had dinner at their restaurant â the food was pretty good too!
The highlight was definitely the view from our room: a stunning, scenic view of Napahai that Iâll never forget.

There was a electric heated mattress, which kept us warm while sleeping, and 1 room heater provided. However, the heater wasnât quite enough to warm the entire room, and unfortunately thereâs a gap in the door (couldnât close tightly), which allowed cold air to enter and made the room even colder."

The design is simple and generous, and the space is clean and transparent. The room heating facilities are all water-heating. It is most suitable during the dry season of Shangri-La. There are rest, tea and recreational facilities in the public areas.
"The best choice! The best hotel ever! The hospitality and amazing staff! They pick and fetch us from railway station, both way for complimentary. The staff is very helpful, easy to communicate, very attentive and helpful, they help in given direction and also to suggest itinerary program.
We come with group of 6 women, they help to upgrade us to the family room, which is the best and comfortable room. after arrived, we were served for mini hi tea in the garden, although it stated 2 pax, but we were given 6 cup of each of us, I definitely will visit and stay here again, the oxygen also helps a lot. Even they breakfast is lovely although simple, which is sufficient and halal friendly for us. Tq again and totally will recommended to everyone."

RRakdoiLove this place, when you return back to the hotel their lovely dogs will run out to greet you at the gate, there is a huge grass area for them to play, and the sheep are so cute too. You can see Shika mountain from the property. Room is beautifully decorated, and so comfortable too, with the heated bed, floors and soft bed & sofa. Staff is friendly and quickly responds to queries on WeChat as well, and he fetched us to and from Shangrila train station which is nearby which we appreciated. This place is near Napa Sea, we rented electric bikes from a nearby hotel and had no issues booking Didi to the old city. Thank you for the loveliest stay.

JJaquelyn MolloyI love this little place. Each room is an individual villas / rooms with its own bathroom. Standing on its own with lots of space between each villas. It feels as if we are on our own with no one next to us but the wide open skies. The property is nestled in the nature amongst the local farmers and we got to experience a milking a cow on one of the home farmers backyard. My girls 10 & 12 thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We got to bring the milk back to the property and the staff helped us to treat the milk before serving it to us for consumption. It was a shame that we are a month too early for the mushroom picking experience (Shangri-La being on a higher altitude)
My girls roamed the âneighbourhoodâ outside the property with their walkie talkies and were just playing with the neighbours / farmers chicken , cows, lambs and horses. They had a ball. Within the property itself, there are 3 dogs who will visit you at your villa or at the reception / dining area (when food is served) at all times of the day. They are so friendly and my girls thoroughly enjoyed their company. There is also a horse on the property who roams around freely.
The staff is so accommodating to our needs. The property is about 20 mins out from city centre and we can organise a driver with the property to pick us up and drop us off.
We were driven by the owner of the property on multiple occasions and always just text them about 30-1 hour in advance (depending on where we are). It was nice to have that option. sometimes it's easier to have a familiar face and because we spoke mandarin, it was also nice to be able to converse with the same person .
Breakfast was scrumptious in my opinion and we get an option of noodles or rice porridge and condiments to go with. You can request for dinner as well and they will ask you during the day etc. although wild mushroom hot pot (their speciality in the area) needs to be prepared one day in advance.
It is a very special place and as we were leaving the owner is installing new furniture to the rooms and also a new structure for an outdoor BBQ space.
This is a very special place and i think we will come back again very soon!!

VVy Anh NguyenThis is by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to China. The hotel is equipped with all modern amenities, especially the toilet with an automatic bidet (something thatâs not found anywhere else in China). The room was incredibly cozy with modern heating facilities, and the host even provided an oxygen machine (though I didnât actually need to use it). I truly felt that it was worth every penny for the two nights I spent here.
One of the highlights was the adorable and friendly Ragdoll cat that lives here! The hotel owner even allowed us to bring the cat into our room to play, and it was just so sweet and playful.
Moreover, the host offered us a free pick-up and drop-off service at both the train station and the airport, even though it was 7 in the morning! I honestly have no complaints about this hotel. If you want to enjoy a fantastic stay in Shangrila, book this hotel now!

The location of the hotel is unbeatable. Itâs a stone throw away from ĺćščĄ, the busiest part of the ancient city where you can find a lot of restaurants and shops on the streets around it. 6 mins walk from MĂš fÇ which you shouldnât miss if you are interested in history, 15 mins walk from ZhĹngyĂŹ farm produce market & night market.
Before arrival, the hotel manager ĺç was absolutely responsive to my enquiry. He advised me on our itinerary. His recommendation for hotel in Shangri-la, restaurants in Lijang and the ĺĺ¸ĺŽ´ in Ancient town of Dukezong is excellent.
The private car charter for jade dragon snow mountain day trip he arranged for us is very good. The driver made it very convenient for us as he always dropped us off at the nearest spots possible to the entrances for čćč°ˇ and ropeway.
With the hotel managerâs help, our trip is hassle free. He even helped us pay in advance for the jade dragon snow mountain ropeway tickets & private car charter. He secured a very good time slot 10:30am for the ropeway for us.
We stayed in the biggest room with fantastic view of the ancient city and mountains for our first night there. The room was very spacious. We are two adults and one child. The hotel manager was so thoughtful that he added a single bed to the room for free.
We returned to the hotel again after our 2 days and 1 night trip to Shangri-la. This time, we stayed in the other room which has a big bath tub with view of the ancient city and the mountains and the bath tub can fit two. My son and my husband had a great bath soak together. I got to see sunrise sitting comfortably in the room.
He and his crew are so friendly and hospitable. They carried our suitcases for us to go up and down the stairs from car drop off & pickup points to go to the hotel.
Breakfast was delicious. The only miss is that coffee is not included in the breakfast.

IImeReally nice hotel. Definitely live up to Shangrila reputation. The ambiance is very upscale, and the staff are super nice (except for one guy waitstaff in Anie's restaurant, whose answer to anything we asked was âdon't haveâ, while the items will materialized in seconds when we ask the very nice manager. Btw, the item in question was a fork. What restaurant does not have a fork??. I digress here.
The room is large, and amenities are first class.
Swimming pool, oxygen room, and the gym are in great condition. Definitely will stay here again if we ever in this area in the future.

CCaroZimThe best thing about this hotel is the view from the room. Unfortunately, that's as good as it gets! I really don't understand why it has such good reviews as I don't think it deserves them. Our room was really dirty - the first thing I saw when I walked in was dirt on the floor and clumps of hair in the corner by the furniture as well as hair on the floor. The most revolting thing was the bath mat on the floor - the parts of it that should have been white were a very dirty brown - it obviously hadn't been washed in many months. The âfittedâ sheets on the bed had bleach stains on them and they didn't fit the bed properly as they didn't tuck under the mattress which meant it came loose during the night. The mattress was very uncomfortable (hard and lumpy) - there was no mattress protector on the bed or protectors on the pillows. The walls are paper thin and, unfortunately, we had three very loud and excitable young women next door to us who talked and laughed very loudly until after midnight on all three nights we were there. The room wasn't serviced for the 3 nights we were there and we had to ask for extra toilet paper and water as they didn't put any in on the first day. We also had to empty our own bins and ask them to come and collect them from outside our door. The staff were friendly enough, but they seemed to spend all day on their phones lounging around in the rather untidy and dirty looking reception area. All the common areas were dirty too - the staircase hadn't been vacuumed any time recently as there was dirt on every stair. The place has a very neglected and uncared for feel about it which is a real pity as it could be lovely if some time and effort was put into making it clean and tidy and updating the furniture and bedding. It seems that the staff are very bored with their jobs and have no interest in keeping the place nice for customers.

GGuest UserThis hotel on the stunning Shangri-La grassland is excellent! It offers breakfast, has a laundry room, features automatic toilets, and boasts advanced facilities. The hotel is very clean, with great soundproofing and insulation, and has direct ventilation through scenic-view windows. The laundry facilities are top-notch and easy to use. The ratio of guest rooms to laundry machines is high, so thereâs no waiting. Shangri-La itself is incredibly beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by the Napa Lake Grassland and snow-capped mountains.
I recommend driving up the hotelâs internet-famous road to the halfway slope for a panoramic view of Shangri-La. With wildflowers blooming everywhere, itâs absolutely breathtaking.
In previous days, I stayed in an ancient town inn. The main issue was that most rooms lacked outward-facing windows, which felt uncomfortable. The owner of *Yinxiang Tianlu* recommended a place called **Bottomless Lake**. Itâs incredibly beautiful, reminiscent of Switzerland, and even prettier than Pudacuo National Park. Best of all, itâs free (no entrance fee), though youâll need to rent a car for a one-way 2-hour drive. This hidden gem is truly fantastic.

1. We received excellent butler service from čžšĺŽ, who went above and beyond her responsibilities. She supported various departments such as housekeeping, laundry, and room coordination with great efficiency and responsiveness.
2. Overall service standards were good, and staff were generally courteous & helpful. However, there was some resistance during breakfast when we requested to take away a small portion of food, which could have been handled with more flexibility.
Areas for Improvement
1. Unfortunately, our original room was located directly beside an active construction site, with tractors passing frequently throughout the day. This significantly affected our experience and reflects a lapse in room assignment planning.
2. The room quality and housekeeping standards did not meet expectations, especially considering the premium pricing. The bed was overly soft and sunken, the shower gel was nearly empty at checkout, and personal items were moved by housekeeping but not returned to their original positions.
3. The laundry service lacked proper handling of delicate materialsâparticularly wool itemsâand hygiene standards need improvement. For instance, clean socks were returned in a visibly reused plastic bag, which is concerning for a property of this caliber.
4. There was a lack of detailed information provided for day activities. We joined a cycling trip but did not receive sufficient pre-trip guidance regarding terrain, attire, or necessary items to bring. Improved coordination and communication between the hotel and vendors would greatly enhance guest preparedness and safety.
5. We were disappointed to learn that guests staying at Songtsam Linka were not allowed to participate in Songtsam Green Lodge activities, contrary to what we were informed prior to our arrival. This inconsistency in information was frustrating and impacted our overall experience.

GGuest UserHad a really great stay here on the Tiger Leaping Gorge trail! The staff were the highlightâupgraded me to a private room, helped me transfer my luggage to Tinaâs and book a bus ticket from Tinaâs to Shangri-La. The room was clean and tidy with towels and toiletries provided. The view was stunning and their cafe/bar had a wide and well-priced selection of drinks including coffee, craft beer and cocktails. And of course the view is stunning. Highly recommend staying here!
