Guest UserThis hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Dukezong Ancient Town. Its Wabi-sabi style decor is tasteful and chic, and the quality truly rivals hotels that cost 2,000 RMB a night. My friend and I stayed for two nights and we honestly didn't want to check out. We've already promised each other we'll come back to Shangri-La just for this hotel. Hope it continues to thrive!

Guest UserOn the way to the hotel, we passed by so many horse farms and prayer flags! It was super crowded!
Today we checked into Qingyu! Upon entering, there's a big courtyard! The owner's dog came to greet us! Very affectionate.
Qingyu has a front and back courtyard, with plenty of spots for photos, and the back courtyard even has prayer flags! It's super photogenic!
The coffee shop in the back courtyard is backed by a snow-capped mountain 🏔️, giving you that feeling of being at the foot of a snowy mountain, with expansive views and nothing else in sight!
The hotel also has many ethnic costumes available for free use! And if you don't know how to wear them, the owner will help you! The 'little shop assistants' are also very enthusiastic!
The scenery is truly beautiful!

BingganhuzidashuThe hotel is very close to Dukezong Ancient Town, about a 5-minute walk. The hotel has a great design, and the rooms are quite clean, although the family rooms face the road. It would be even better if the breakfast offered more variety. The room has an oxygen concentrator, and there's free fruit on the first floor for guests to help themselves. Crucially, there's an elevator, so no need to climb stairs, which is really important in high-altitude areas. For parking, you can park right in front of the hotel or next to it.

WilawanRA perfect stay for those seeking peace and relaxation. The hotel offers stunning mountain and meadow views, with beautiful walking paths and scenery similar to Heidou Café nearby. Guests receive a voucher for a complimentary Americano and cookies at the café (other menu items are available with a small top-up). The staff are friendly and attentive, and the hotel also provides convenient shuttle service to and from the railway station. Didi rides are easy to book, and the Old Town is only about 20 minutes away.
Recommended for anyone looking to enjoy nature, slow down, and experience the peaceful side of Shangri-La.

Alex CisséAn unforgettable stay ! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely immersed in the wild beauty of Shangri-La. The location is breathtaking wide open landscapes, mountains that seem to stretch forever, and a calm that's hard to find anywhere else. The rooms were impeccably clean, beautifully designed, with an amazing view, every detail felt intentional.
But what truly made this stay special was Suki and little fish (荔枝). They are patient, attentive, and genuinely caring the kind of hosts who make you feel completely at ease from the very first moment. Beyond being incredibly warm and welcoming, they helped me experience the region in a way I never could have on my own. I went horse riding in the mountains with them, discovered the local culture through their eyes, and had some of the most meaningful conversations of my trip sitting with them. Their advice was precious, and their kindness turned a beautiful place into a memorable one.
The amenities were excellent, the service flawless, and the whole place has a soul that's rare to find. If you're traveling and looking for somewhere that feels like an adventure and a home at the same time, this is it.
Thank you Suki and little fish for the rides, the laughs, the conversations, and for showing me a side of Yunnan I'll never forget.

This hotel was the best stay of my trip in Sichuan / Yunnan. I cherish the countryside and i was apply to go out of the city to enjoy the slow life, the real life with nature and animals. This stay gave me everything!
The owners, 仁安 里 and Jiren, welcomed me like a was family. I was starving and they invited me to have dinner with them. It was really nice and i felt really included into their community.
The room was spacious, luminous, and confortable with a huge bed ! I really loved staying on the sofa in the morning, when the sun was blazing. The breakfast was good and generous.
My favorite day was to discover the surrounding of the hotel, walking in the village, seeing all the cute animals (cows, baby cows, dogs, cats, poneys, roosters).
The owner was so considerate to me, he drove me to Shangri-La city center because no taxis were available. Visiting the old town, i was so happy to have chosen a hotel away from this touristic place. He also picked me up and drop me off at the train station.
I would absolutely recommend and return to this hotel. I loved it very much. It gave me the opportunity to relax, discover ******* culture and amazing people, and live the slow life.
Thanks again, and Tashi Delek !

It was too cold to take out my phone, but Dudu and Xiaohua were so adorable. I highly, highly recommend booking the 270-degree view tent! The experience was fantastic, cozy and natural. If the weather's good, sunbathing would be incredibly comfortable. The service staff were also very kind, and the breakfast milk tea and highland barley pancakes were delicious 😋

AngelinaTanWe had the best stay at MuKa Pastoral Manor during our Yunnan trip.
The property has a true resort-like atmosphere, complemented by exceptional butler service. Upon check-in, we were added to a dedicated WeChat group with the hotel team. Since there is no telephone in the room, guests can simply send any request or question via WeChat, and the staff respond almost instantly.
The hotel also uses the group chat to share daily reminders about breakfast hours, afternoon tea, the complimentary photoshoot, tea sessions, and the nightly bonfire activities. It made communication very convenient and personalized.
One experience that really impressed us was when we had to leave before breakfast hours for an early sightseeing trip. We asked if they could prepare something simple for us, and they thoughtfully packed bread, boiled eggs, milk, and local snacks. It was an unexpected gesture that we truly appreciated.
We stayed in a Level 2 duplex-style room with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, making it perfect for a family or a group of four. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with an oxygen supply system and a dehumidifier. The butler also took the initiative to explain how to use the oxygen system and shared useful advice on managing altitude sickness, especially after learning about our previous and upcoming destinations.
The afternoon tea and nightly bonfire experience are held on Level 5, which also features a cozy mini library. While most of the books are in Chinese, guests are free to browse and enjoy the space. We particularly enjoyed the traditional yak butter tea experience around the bonfire in the evening.
Although the property is located about 20 minutes by Didi from Shangri-La Ancient Town, transportation is very convenient and ride-hailing services are readily available. The hotel also provides complimentary transfers to and from Shangri-La Railway Station, which was a nice added benefit.
What truly sets MuKa Pastoral Manor apart is its outstanding hospitality and beautiful natural surroundings. The farm, courtyard, and open spaces create a peaceful retreat close to nature. My favorite part was waking up each morning to breathtaking views of Shika Snow Mountain (石卡雪山) right outside the window.
Overall, this was one of the most memorable stays of our trip. Between the attentive service, comfortable rooms, thoughtful amenities, and stunning scenery, I would highly recommend MuKa Pastoral Manor to anyone visiting Shangri-La.
I speak highly of the place, but if there is one area for improvement, it would be the breakfast selection. Given the overall standard and level of service they provide, I would have expected a slightly higher-quality breakfast offering. It felt somewhat underwhelming, with very basic Western options (bread, egg, jam) and Asian offerings (Mi Xian), along with milk, coffee, and juice. The juice also did not seem freshly prepared, but rather packaged.

ShixiaofuniyaChoosing this hotel for my trip to Shangri-La was absolutely the right decision! It's super convenient, just about a ten-minute walk to the old town. Plus, they provide an oxygen concentrator, which was a lifesaver on my first day when I was suffering from altitude sickness. They also have an oximeter and a thermometer, showing how much they care about their guests. The chicken and rice noodle soup for breakfast here is incredibly delicious – I had it for days! Every evening, they bring complimentary bedtime milk, which my family found to be a really thoughtful touch. The bedding is great too; I slept very comfortably, and the toiletries are all well-stocked. If I get the chance to come back, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Aarushi Wa luxury hotel in the cliff overlooking the tiger leaping gorge. it is near Tina’s and is accessible by car or fir hikers. Rooms are comfortable with good views, the hotel offers hiking excursions and tea. A little more expensive than other hotels in the area, bur the design architecture and location are worth it.
