"The room matched the pictures perfectly, a great size for families of three or four. The owner's shuttle service was prompt and the guesthouse environment was lovely. A special thanks to the owner for retrieving my child's lost smartwatch from the restaurant – they even rode an electric scooter to get it back for us! 🙏
Hongcun itself is quite commercialized now. Activities like making fish lanterns, sugar figures, tie-dyeing, and bamboo carving offer a good experience for kids, but a one-day stay is generally sufficient.
The fish lantern performance isn't on the same level as what you'd see in Chengkan, but the quiet morning in Hongcun is truly beautiful."

"This guesthouse in Hongcun Scenic Area is absolutely wonderful! It has a simple yet elegant courtyard with a strong scholarly ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, offering luggage pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. They also thoughtfully arranged for us to dine at excellent nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. Upon checking in, we immediately headed to Wanxing Tower near the guesthouse for stinky mandarin fish and rice with vegetables, which, unfortunately, were quite bland. However, the design of Nanhu Guanyuan itself is very refined and tasteful, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety, perfect for a heartwarming and satisfying start to the day. The guesthouse is exceptionally close to the Nanhu and Yuezao attractions, making it easy to take leisurely strolls in the morning or evening and soak in the beautiful, misty江南 (Jiangnan) scenery. My trip to Hongcun in Anhui was truly delightful, and staying at Nanhu Guanyuan made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the scenic area's parking lot charges a maximum of only twenty yuan for both day and night, which is incredibly good value."

"Opted for this large Huizhou-style guesthouse in Hongcun, and it was a great choice. Its location is super convenient, right near the South Gate of Hongcun. As soon as I arrived, someone from the hotel came out to help with my luggage, which was fantastic service. They also helped me get oriented by explaining the hotel's location on a map of Hongcun and pointed out must-see spots. They didn't leave until I was completely settled in. Following their recommendation, I immediately went to see the evening Fish Lantern show and the enchanting Moon Pond scenery."

"Hygiene: When checking out, the cleaner was making the bed, and I saw some dirty yellow stains inside the quilt. There was also a mouse repeller in the room, and I heard mice moving around in the ceiling at night.
Facilities: The facilities are pretty standard for a village dwelling. The parking lot costs 20 RMB per day. After parking, you have to walk about 500 meters to the guesthouse's check-in hall, and then another 300 meters or so to the guesthouse after checking in, which is very inconvenient.
Environment: It has an antique charm and is quiet outside. However, the soundproofing is poor; I could clearly hear my neighbor snoring at night, which is understandable for a wooden house.
Service: There's a luggage cart service from the parking lot to the check-in hall (500 meters), but the path from the check-in hall to the guesthouse (300 meters) is very narrow, so you have to carry your own luggage."

"Had a fantastic stay! First off, the room was pretty soundproof, and the blackout curtains did their job perfectly, letting us sleep in until 8:30 AM. Plus, because of the rain, breakfast was thoughtfully extended until 11 AM, and they even offered a late-night congee service; you could get free congee at the dining hall after 9:30 PM, which was a real lifesaver on a rainy night. The front desk staff were all super attentive, friendly, and polite, and they even offered some helpful tips. The hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the West Gate of Hongcun Scenic Area, and you pass by lots of restaurants on the way, which is really convenient."

"Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!"

Location: The hotel is situated within the Xidi Scenic Area. Upon check-in, each room receives two complimentary adult tickets to Xidi, with each adult ticket allowing one child to enter for free. The tickets are valid for 3 days, meaning a family of two adults and two children staying here can enjoy free entry to the scenic area.
Facilities: The hotel boasts excellent facilities. The bathroom amenities and bedding are of good quality, and the decor has a charming traditional aesthetic. The complimentary items provided, such as the peach wood comb, toiletries, towels, and cotton-linen slippers, are all of high quality. It feels like you're bringing home a lot of lovely souvenirs after just one stay!
Service: The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile and patiently resolving any issues. Breakfast is quite generous, and in the evenings, they even provide complimentary chilled mung bean soup and Bingfen (a local dessert) when you return to your room.
Environment: The hotel is nestled amidst ancient architecture and traditional gardens. Staying here allows you to truly appreciate the distinctive black tiles, white walls, and blue bricks of Huizhou's ancient buildings. I only wish I could have stayed for a few more days!

Guest UserThere's a good reason why HONGCUN YINMO HOTEL has zero negative reviews – it's an excellent hotel! I stayed for two nights and genuinely believe it's the best hotel in Hongcun. The location, ambiance, cleanliness, and service all get a perfect score 💯. It's incredibly chic and spotless, with the room cleaning done exceptionally well; even the corners are clean and odor-free. The toiletries are comprehensive, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom is a real comfort. The corridors are also very quiet, making for a truly peaceful stay. Plus, they offer beautiful traditional clothing for guests to wear for free for photos, which is a lovely touch! Upon check-out, they even gave us two local specialty pastries. I honestly recommend this hotel.

I can't recommend Muhua Hotel in Hongcun highly enough. I had an absolutely wonderful stay. The manager and staff were so friendly, accommodating, helpful, and hospitable that it truly felt like home from the moment I arrived. Every need was met with warmth and a smile, making me feel like family rather than just a guest. With its spotless charm and such genuine care, this hotel is a true gem. Thank you to the entire team. I will definitely stay here again.

LixiubaichaThis guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly, amazingly wonderful!!!! First, I have to praise the owner. He's such a great guy. He called us beforehand to ask when we'd arrive, then picked us up in his 'sanbengzi' (a three-wheeled vehicle – extra experience points!). He helped us with our luggage. The next day, I wasn't feeling well and just wanted to extend for two hours to rest, but the owner immediately told us not to worry and just to stay as long as we needed. When we left, his aunt helped with our bags, and he arranged a car for us. We were in such a rush that I dropped something, and he even mailed it back to me… In short, the service was exceptional!! ❤️ Next time, I hope to bring my family and stay for a few more days.
The environment is also incredibly good! The courtyard is uniquely designed, like a mini classical garden, full of ancient charm. The room was very clean, and there's even a meditation area. I tried to imitate Liu Yifei's meditation pose, and I felt refreshed afterward, haha~
Hongcun is truly beautiful, and the people here are so warm and friendly. It's a shame we were short on time, but I look forward to coming back again!

The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the facilities are excellent. The food is delicious too! Most importantly, the staff are all incredibly nice, warm, and attentive. They helped us with our luggage, and even offered pick-up and drop-off services to and from the scenic area. A special shout-out to the beautiful lady manager – she was super enthusiastic and truly touched our hearts. Oh, and there's also a very cute little black dog! I really hope this wonderful guesthouse continues to thrive. We'll definitely be back next time we visit Hongcun!

My stay at Banyan Tree Huangshan was fantastic! I booked two packages for the Luyuan King Room and stayed for six days, and every day was a joy. All the staff here were excellent. First, I was assigned a butler named Amy, who provided warm and thoughtful service. She sent me WeChat updates on all the hotel's activities and told me to let her know if I needed anything at any time. It felt very considerate. The environment is also beyond praise; it's very close to Lucun Village, and the views from the balcony and the hotel lobby are simply stunning. It felt like I didn't even need to leave the hotel to experience the beauty of Huizhou. The hotel offers a rich variety of activities, like the fish lantern parade and the close-up experience of iron flower making, which were brilliant. My child also participated in various pastry-making sessions. The chefs were wonderful; we joined three times, and each time the师傅 (master/chef) was great with both kids and adults. The pastries we made were truly delicious. The only downside was the room where we made pastries; it might be too close to the outside, as it was a bit warm. I hope they can improve that. The housekeeping and valet staff were also exceptionally courteous and provided thorough service. All in all, my trip to Banyan Tree Huangshan was absolutely delightful!

Guest UserTraveling with 2 of my friends on a fun girls trip! This was such an amazing location. We went from a sad and boring hotel in Beijing to this fantastic location and suddenly the whole trip was more fun and much more interesting. The host met us at the entrance to Hongcun and carried our luggage in the back of his little vehicle as we followed him around quaint buildings and through a narrow cobblestone walkway which was perfect for walking and pretty impressive to drive thru without scratching anything. After the beautiful walk we came through the most beautiful circle archway and into the cutest courtyard. We rented the room with a queen bed downstairs and 2 full beds up in the loft. The rooms were so cute we had to hide our luggage to do a full video tour to show our families before unpacking. The beds have mattress toppers which helped soften up the beds for us Americans. The host was very helpful and I would suggest getting WeChat to translate if you don’t speak Chinese. I don’t but it was easy to communicate. I would definitely stay at here again. Highly recommended!
