Standing on Deva's balcony the day I arrived, I told my family that this was my dream place.
I am alone to take a leave to let go for a few days, in the rape blossoms and the May 1st holiday between the small off-season came to the environment, enjoy this beautiful small yard for 2 days.
The shopkeeper is a full-fledged Beijing sister, and the environment is also a place she chooses. I added WeChat in advance and gave various careful guidance. People went to Xidi to drive a car to the village entrance to pick it up. Xidi Village is not big, it takes not long to walk in and out. There are not many things in the off-season. Every day, I see the shopkeeper’s sister with a pair of shears to trim the flowers and plants. There is a chat without a chat. Go upstairs to see the scenery. Sitting on the balcony of Daiwa is in a daze. It is pastoral to the south and ancient buildings to the north. Patting the fields and eaves of various birds, including but not limited to: white-headed, spotted, egrets, ponds, mountains, etc. There is a beautiful green bird on the eaves is a frequent visitor, check it called the fin-billed fin. Every morning there will be mist in the mountains, get up early and walk on the rape field, the dew wet the pants feet, this should be my yearning for life, can imagine how beautiful the rape blossom season will be. Unfortunately, the body was not strong and there was a problem, and I had to end the trip early. Before leaving, the shopkeeper sister took me to the health center at the entrance of the village and opened medicine to send me to the car. When I went home, I still asked me on WeChat if I was better.
In short, it is a very good experience for two days. If you love ancient construction and pastoral, come to Weinan to live in Xidi, and come to Xidi to live in the environment.

It is a good place to travel to Hongcun. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to Hongcun. The boss is very nice and enthusiastic. The B&B does not have parking spaces, so the owner will specifically reserve a spot on the roadside. There is no breakfast, but there are many places to eat around, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snacks. The facilities of the homestay are relatively ordinary, and the hygiene is acceptable. The main attraction is the convenience of transportation and the friendly boss.

The boss is super nice. He can pick me up and help me move my luggage. The layout of the small courtyard is very beautiful. The room is very spacious. The disposable supplies are very complete. The most praiseworthy thing is that the Hanfu I experienced is very beautiful. I highly recommend it.

This homestay was satisfactory. It was very well located in the old town and easy to find.
However, there was no one at the front desk when I arrived or throughout the stay. I had to call and then wait for about 10 minutes before someone arrived. When the host arrived they seemed unsure about my reservation, was on call with someone else, and didn’t provide any service or information about the local area.
A while after I entered the room there was a bad smell from the bathroom drain that remained for the rest of my stay. There was another bad smell in the morning of my 2nd day. I walked outside my room to find that an animal had pooped outside my door. Maybe a cat?
It is unfortunate because this was a beautiful home and Hongcun is a stunning town, but it did not feel like the homestay was very well serviced or cleaned. I’m sure they can improve before the next stay!

It's very close to the South Gate, with a large floor-to-ceiling glass room. The room was very clean and had all the basic amenities. The owner was very attentive. They helped with the way into and out of the scenic area and even checked in my luggage. They also gave me a souvenir before I checked out.

This guesthouse is truly amazing! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by its warmth and comfort. The room was exquisitely decorated, every detail revealing the owner's thoughtfulness and taste. The bed was soft and comfortable, and after a good night's sleep, I felt completely refreshed. I was also very satisfied with the host's service; they were welcoming but not overly intrusive, and their recommendations for nearby restaurants were excellent. I'll definitely stay here again! A definite five-star review! The guesthouse's location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around. The room is beautifully decorated, full of artistic flair. The host was incredibly welcoming, making our trip even more enjoyable. I'll bring my friends next time!

I stayed in Hongcun for two nights, and this hostel was the most gentle haven amidst the misty rain.
The plum rain season washed every leaf until it glistened, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of earth and grass. I stayed in a wooden cabin, and the rain pattered on the eaves all night, a simple white noise from nature. Falling asleep to the sound of rain felt like returning to childhood, a long-lost tranquility.
In the evening, the owner played and sang folk songs for us on the ukulele, their melodies blending into the sound of the rain. Outside, a fine drizzle wove through the air; inside, the lights were dim and warm. I held a cup of hot milk tea in my hands (it was made with real milk, rich and sweet, not a perfunctory powder mix – truly delicious 😋). A small cat sat under the eaves listening to the rain, while I worked on crafts, the rustle of needle and thread accompanying the lingering music. Rain, hot milk tea, folk songs, a little cat, and handmade crafts – these beautiful words layered together unexpectedly created a nearly luxurious stretch of time.
Even luckier, I met several pure-hearted girls here. The plum rain didn't trap us; instead, it brought us together. We chatted, shared stories, and exchanged smiles. Though we were strangers meeting by chance, we shared a brief and wonderful time.
Scenery tends to fade, and photos will yellow, but those moments filled with warmth will not disappear. They settle deep in our memories, resurfacing suddenly on a weary evening in the future, reminding you: this world is worth repeatedly venturing into.
Travel isn't about escaping life, but about making life broader. To encounter mountains, rivers, and seas; to meet gentle people; to meet the light and authentic self hidden by daily routines.
Resting by the water, listening to the misty rain,
Dreaming of Huizhou.

The inn is located next to the red poplar trees at the entrance to the scenic village. The innkeeper was very welcoming and attentive, even going to the parking lot she had pre-designated to pick up our luggage and elderly guests. Her husband is a chef, and his local specialties, like stinky mandarin fish, are incredibly delicious. She also recommends her friends to stay here.

Beautiful house located in a quiet part of the ancient village. As you’ll read in many reviews, the host provides excellent service, and I felt like I was meeting a friend. He took me to and from the gate of the village to the house and helped me carry my luggage. He also helped me arrange a ride back to the train station - there were some issues and he took the time to sort it out with the drivers on my behalf, which was above and beyond. The host and I talked about traveling and I could tell he was someone who was genuine and wanted to be as helpful as possible.
The room is beautiful with huge windows and lots of thoughtful details. I had wonderful rests here while it was too hot outside. From the window you can see some rooftops of Hui architecture. The village isn’t big, so all the sights are nearby

The owner is really nice, warm and easy to talk to. You can tell he's dedicated to running the business. I'm giving this rating purely to encourage him to improve some of the issues and grow the business. The shop's ambiance is actually quite stunning, brimming with Anhui style, antique charm, and a captivating atmosphere. But I was completely surprised to see a major issue with the basic drainage system. In the shower, within seconds, water began to accumulate like a fish pond beneath my feet. Even the washbasin was severely clogged, overflowing quickly. At first, I thought it was a common problem with old Anhui-style houses, but when I asked my parents where they live, they said they had no such issue. It seems like encountering this kind of problem is really just a matter of luck; if you're unlucky, you'll just have to deal with a terrible water blockage. I hope the owner can resolve this issue quickly so everyone can enjoy a comfortable stay.
