Outstanding
GGuest UserFirefly Redclay Pension was great place to stay. Very quiet, very clean pension. The owners are very kind and helpful. They go out of there way to ensure that your stay and experience is very memorable and relaxing. We had a awesome time there! Clean fresh mountain air, blue skies and the beginning of autumn foliage. We would definitely stay there again and recommend the Firefly Redclay pension.
GGuest UserExcellent stay. Better than expected. I was worried that it would be crowded at the lobby/ common areas due to proximity to casino which was not a preference. The lobby of convention hotel is grand, peaceful and modern.
I was also worried that it would be inconvenient to reach the ski slopes however the shuttle buses were frequent and you can get to the slopes quickly. The bus stop drop off point is right outside the ticket office for ski passes
Hotel service was welcoming and superb from check in/out to housekeeping. As foreigners we received discount coupons for ski rental and pass. View from room was nice and loved the cream and shower gel etc. Room service was quick and portions are huge. Also how it was delivered was really good too with the robot.
Overall very good and comfortable stay.
GGuest UserIt was a great room to stay for one night. I found a nice restaurant near the accommodation with my friends and had a delicious meal. The accommodation was also comfortable.
GGuest UserThe air conditioning, electric blanket, and other items worked well, and shampoo, conditioner, body wash, disposable skin lotion, toothbrush, and toothpaste were provided, so it was nice to travel light.
Kkim ytIt's a new building, so it's clean and nice. Bedding is clean, refrigerator is big, induction is big, washing machine is like a one-room. There is a veranda, the view is good, and the sound of the water is good. It is convenient to have 7-Eleven on the first floor. There is shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. The hot water is good and the heating temperature can be adjusted, so I slept warmly. The price is cheap and I have a return visit doctor. The downside is a little narrow. I was fine though the train passed by.
GGuest UserRooms were pleasant, everything functioning nicely. Hotel is comfortable and reasonably well-organised. Around the resort there are places where poor signage and language difficulties may give pause for non-Korean-speaking travellers, but it's nothing that a smartphone and a little persistence can't overcome. Free shuttle buses to the close-by ski hill and two local towns are frequent enough. Staff are kind, considerate and helpful. Food on the mountain is basic but perfectly fine. Unless you are coming for the casino specifically I wouldn't recommend the hotel in general. All facilities require extra charges and are cynically overpriced to rob more money from the punters, whose tinted-window executive cars arrive in droves. The less said about the buffet at the Grand Table the better. There is something very soulless about the High1 resort in general, and the strong corporate vibes give the place an eerie quality. The skiing is not so bad, although experienced riders will get bored after 2 or 3 days, unless a rare snowfall increases the fun. That said, the resort's snow-making abilities are quite impressive. If you are someone who gets irritated by poor piste etiquette, don't come here. At any given time half of the riders will be in the process of falling over, will have already fallen over, or will be chatting sat in the middle of the fairway. Try not to imagine anything in the way of apres-ski. As a solo traveller bored of watching the casino donkeys shift about the hotel, I went searching in the local towns for a bar. It was a depressing failure. I read the resort was intended to bring money to the depressed mining towns of Sabuk and Gohan, but seemingly it has turned these places into a succession of garishly presented empty restaurants and ”Thai massage” joints, the latter being a favourite of the aforementioned tinted-window crowd.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and nice. It had a refreshing view of the small stream right next door, and it was quiet. I was very satisfied! The price was also good. There was a convenience store right in front, and I was able to purchase affiliated products like the cable car and swimming pool at a discount.
GGuest UserI booked the High Valley Hotel for a conference at High One Resort. The motel was the facility that changed the name to the hotel, and the building was the highest in the neighborhood, so it was easy to find.
Because it's summer, I closed the windows and turned on the air conditioner. There are no mosquitoes in this community. It's cool. I can turn off the air conditioner and open the window to sleep.
But the nets in the bathroom windows are torn, which is better if you repair them.
The boss in the lobby kindly responded.
There was a stream nearby, so it was good to walk in the morning.
GGuest UserIt's adjacent to a commercial area, parking is okay, the room condition is clean, and it's a hotel with the best cost-effectiveness at a low price on weekdays. I remember eating bibimbap for breakfast, and it was a very delicious meal, and it was really convenient not to have to go to a restaurant in the morning. The sound of the stream right next door can be healing, and some people may find it annoying, but I really liked it~~
GGuest UserWe loved the hotel, lovely view from the window, just a quick walk to train station and the free shuttle bus for high1 ski resort. The only thing that let it down was a very hard bed!
