"We stayed at Hantian Langyue during the May Day holiday. Both the front desk receptionist and other staff were very polite. There was a dedicated staff member who sent us reminders of routes, itineraries, and activities. They were very thoughtful. The entire hotel park environment is elegant, comfortable and pleasant. "The hotel facilities are very new, the rooms are large enough, and the bedding is very comfortable. It is located on the edge of the city and very quiet. It's just that the hotel has three independent buildings lined up in a row. There are no obvious signs of Building A and Building B. Each of the three independent buildings has a name. It was a mistake when checking in. The receptionist emphasized that the invoice must be issued online. The biggest complaint is the breakfast, which is just like temple food. It is all vegetarian, with more pickles than stir-fried vegetables, and no meat at all except eggs. That bowl of noodles is pretty good. Not all guests are vegetarians and want to lose weight. Just because of this breakfast, I won’t stay here next time."

"The hotels near the National Examination were fully booked, so I chose Atour, which is not too far from the examination center. The hotel is a bit old, but it is clean and quiet. The service staff are very good. Takeaways and other items will be delivered in time. I gave a small gift at the time and complimented Ms. Caiyan on her great service attitude!"

"Family travel, breakfast includes various Chinese pastries such as fried dough sticks and four or five Western pastries such as sliced bread, croissants and cakes. There are only three kinds of fruits: watermelon, banana and pear. It is estimated that the room supply is tight during the Chinese New Year. The room is converted from a king-size bed room to a parent-child room. It is not too big. The toilet is independent, with a sink but no hand soap. The other is a bathing and washing room, with a bathtub and shower, but it is connected to the room without a door! The hygiene is OK, and the facilities are also complete."

"Sending children to Jiangsu Agricultural and Forestry College to report, the hotel is a few hundred meters next to the college, very convenient. The greenery of the hotel to the college is great and the environment is very elegant. The overall decoration of the hotel is online, the rooms are clean and tidy, the shower water is particularly large, and the bath is very comfortable. The supplies in the room are more graded. I called the front desk and asked for two bottles of water. It was delivered after a while. The service was great! Very recommended hotel"

A few kilometers away from the city center, driving over is very cost-effective.

GGuest UserThis is one hotel where I experienced the managers and front desk staff going the extra mile to engage with and reach out to customers to meet customer needs. I had a very pleasant experience at the hotel. Housekeeping is great, and I found the entire hotel and my room in particular very clean. Connecting to WiFi is completely seamless and without hassles. The surrounding location is great with supermarkets within five-minute walk. The metro station is just 5-minute drive to the hotel. A worthwhile stay experience.

EErosA very comfortable hotel with a relaxing hot spring. The room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a balcony with a beautiful lake view and a large bathtub. Breakfast was decent, offering a wide variety of food. The hotel’s lakeside park was peaceful and perfect for romantic walks or jogging.
The hot spring was enjoyable, though only three pools were open (the others were closed for maintenance). However, the spa massage was disappointing, overpriced and low quality. I would avoid it.

GGlenysMGreenTree Inn, Jurong (Jiangsu Province) is an oldie but a goody! I stayed there for 5 nights in late August/early September (2025). At first glance I was a bit dubious, but it turned out to be a really great place to stay. I felt very safe there and in the neighbourhood (day and night) and would stay there again.
Excellent customer service ..… the Reception and cleaning staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The first room I was allocated smelt of cigarette smoke (no thank you!), but I was immediately moved into a nicer smelling room, which was absolutely spotless, quite large, and had a nice new smart tv, air con, an opening window with a flyscreen and security bars (essential for a ground floor room), nice solid furniture, pure white linen (impressively imprinted with “GreenTree Inn”) and a clean, comfy doona and pillows. A standard hard’ish Chinese bed, but I find them quite comfy.
The old carpet runner along the length of the long ground floor hallway (where my room was) is a relic from way back when, but it was clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the hotel that I could see.
The shower head needed fixing, but that’s an annoyingly common problem in pretty much every budget ＞ mid range hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in China.
The hotel is only about 20 metres from Jurong Chongming Subway Station. Local bus stop almost at the front door (& across the road). The entrance to the old cobbled road (no cars allowed) & all its little shops is across the road at the lights, and a large pharmacy at the entrance (near the “archway”). Electric scooters galore to hire (via the AliPay or WeChat apps) outside the subway. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance once you get past the trades shops (plumbing supplies etc).
My only gripe about GreenTree Inn Jurong (& this is a gripe I have for many hotels etc throughout China) is that smoking is allowed on the premises. I think it’s the worst it’s been since 2002 when I first started travelling to China. It’s awful walking into foyers and lifts that reek of cigarette smoke, and copping wafts of the smoke along hallways from smokers in their rooms (& ashtrays at lift entrances), and horrible arriving tired after a long flight and long trek from airports etc, only to discover you then have to request a room change to escape the smoke, and start all over again. No matter how accommodating the staff are, I could easily do without that hassle and the horrible smell.
In my opinion, hotels etc in China need to up their game where that’s concerned, and follow the lead of the many countries which have banned cigarette smoking in all public buildings (including hotels), all public indoor and outdoor spaces, anywhere near children and shopping centres, on and near public transport etc etc etc.
