We had a rest in the beginning of August. It is not the season. There is a beach next to the hotel, but you can not swim in it! You can only watch a beautiful sunset sitting on the shore! All tourist locations are VERY far away, take note! The staff is friendly, everyone is smiling. Cleaning in the room 50/50, the bed linen is changed only when you say so, the robes are not renewed either, disposable slippers are also provided only once (nothing was changed for us), but you must definitely say. It was strange for me that every time the staff touched my things, on the dressing table cosmetics (and it is obvious that they wiped the dust superficially, but still touched), or on the sofa or bed, they touched my things, it is disgusting! I always had to control whether I left something in the wrong place and think about whether the staff would touch it! Things just lie on the chair, they fold them in their own way! Or there are things on the sofa, they will put them differently!!!! And also, we noticed that the water that is poured into bottles, most likely, is poured into these vessels again, because all the glass bottles are "used", which calls into question the filling (where does this water come from?!). As for the food, for some it is different ... I ate only fruit / yogurt and scrambled eggs, everything else is tasteless. Dinner is $ 55 (it was not included for us), it is not worth the money, everything is disgusting! Except for the flatbreads that they make themselves and fruit 😄 The young man ate local cuisine, of course they can cook it, but the usual food (European) of course is not very tasty. But since the location of the hotel is not a tourist location, there is no choice in restaurants and cafes. We had to pay $ 55 and eat what we eat. Lost -3 kg in 6 days 🤪 THANK YOU! ☺️

Fantastic hotel in every way! The entire facility, from the main building to the other public areas and the rooms. The room felt very luxurious and there are few times that I have been so impressed. The staff in all areas (hotel guards, receptionists, bag carriers, restaurant and bar staff (Nayoush and others), cleaners and pool guards (Sudiyou, Viraj and others) were very nice and service-oriented. All credit really to the entire hotel! (The only small improvement suggestion I have is to divide the pool area between those who want to smoke and those who want it non-smoking).

The room is spacious, the facilities are complete, the environment is beautiful, the service staff are all very polite, even if you don't leave the hotel, you can still have fun with your children

Anantara's hotel has always been stable in luxury + good service, and the children also loved the rock climbing and zip lining activities inside. The most amazing thing is their check-in and check-out ceremony, which is full of enthusiasm and sense of ceremony. I was also lucky enough to observe the small but exquisite celebration held by the hotel for the 76th anniversary of Lanka's independence. It is a quiet seaside hotel suitable for vacation with beautiful views of the sea and lagoon.

The hotel is very beautiful. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic and took photos for us from the best view of the hotel. There is a ceremony for check-in and check-out, which is great. The hotel has several restaurants with good taste. In addition, there are many hotel activities that can be booked: beach volleyball, forest yoga, ziplining, etc.

Stayed alone for 2 days. ➕ All the staff are friendly. Number of items on the breakfast buffet. Western food, Sri Lankan food, Indian food, so you won't get tired of it every day. There are two pools, so you don't have to be crowded. There was a gym and a daily program, and I participated in morning and evening training sessions, but since I was the only one there, I was given one-on-one instruction, which was really fun. The cleaners are very friendly. The room was spacious and I could hear the birds singing. Being able to see the sunset on the nearby beach every day. ➖ When I wanted to grab a few drinks and grab a bite to eat in the evening, the Italian restaurant was closed and when I tried to use the bar, there weren't many vegetarian or vegan options. Nothing around. The nearby beach has too high waves for swimming.

I like the style of the hotel very much, with unique details and a sense of design; there are very few Asian foods, all of them are Southeast Asian flavors, and there are few choices for Chinese people. overall satisfaction

I felt very bad when I arrived because I kept saying that I couldn't find the reservation record. After waiting for an hour, I contacted Ctrip later. The person in charge of the other party showed up, upgraded the room, and gave me dinner. Ctrip is still reliable. The hotel is very large overall, and the view from the rooms facing the sea is okay. The food and beverages are basically in line with expectations. I only ate shrimp🦐. When I left the next day, there were many companies here for team building, and there were so many people. It was still a very local hotel.

Had a great experience at Ananthara hotel. Booking process was really smooth. They gave us a warm welcome with kadyan dancers. We were offered with complimentary fruit basket for GHA discovery membership. Hotel is carefully designed to get the sea view and lagoon view all around. Famous architect Geoffrey Bava gets credit for this. Mr. Chthuka assisted throughout the hotel stay. Food was exceptional tasty. Buffet was available for the meals. Rooms were spacious. Clean. Staff was readily available to assist. They had a nice garden with herbs, corn, spinach and a lot more. There is a big pond with cute duck and some rabbits surrounding. So kids will have a great time here feeding them. There’s a gaming room to spend time with billiard, chess etc. They have spas and other outdoor activities which can be arranged upon additional payments. Would definitely visit this place again.

A faultless hotel! The rooms (and provisions within the room - coffee machine, wet room, air con, ceiling fan,dressing room, 2 fridges - one holding wine etc) facilities, restaurant, gardens, swimming pools are beautifully maintained. The staff are unfailingly happy, helpful and superb at their jobs. Special mention of Sulakkhana in guest services, and I think Saman (?) who kept my room meticulous and well stocked. Thank you for the 'elephants', flower petals and fruit!

From start to finish, staying in the Presidential Pool Suite at Anantara Kalutara was an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for indulgence, relaxation, and exceptional service in a luxurious setting, this is a choice that delivers.

We enjoyed three relaxing days here after a busy trip two week around the island. From the initial welcome ( which is special !) to the service in the restaurants the staff were very professional. We were impressed with the helpfulness of all the staff we met. Nice rooms and good food. Everyone was eager to help. I would give a special mention to Rasindu who looked after us in the main restaurant. He was so attentive and helpful. Can definitely recommend this hotel.
