I was taken to a guesthouse next door. The overall cleaning wasn't very good. Guests were told not to throw foreign objects or hair into the toilet, but the cleaning staff threw hair into the toilet and didn't flush it. There was someone else's hair on the bed. The toilet seat was completely broken, and I had to fix it myself before using the toilet. There were strange protrusions on the floor, which felt dangerous, and there were no warning signs. The reception area on the first floor felt like the host's own living room, not for guests. Other facilities were okay.
The room was really unique, with a 'starlit' ceiling and a bathtub, which my child loved. Every day we came back, we'd take a bath, which was very relaxing. The service was excellent, and it was quiet and comfortable. The bedding was clean, just the right firmness, and I slept really well. The best part is that the elevator goes directly to the second floor, which is super convenient! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Xiamen. Highly recommended!
It’s nestled in an area that’s supposedly touristy and filled with alleys and a maze of lanes to take you pass many vendors shops and stalls and eateries.
For folks who like such an experience, and apart from fairly close access to the seaside, it’s in a location pretty far from the city centre except for the ferry across to the beautiful island across.
Got a nice upgrade but the toilet was pretty small and crampy. I wouldn’t really come back to stay as I think this area is nice for a day or an evening visit and that’s about it.
The girl at the reception kind of gave me some wrong information, as I expected most hotels in China and touristy areas are competing for revenue, but the information she gave me on the island baggage lockers being free is wrong, and the train to take from Xiamen station to head to shantou is wrong too.

We booked 15 rooms for the wedding. After careful selection, we found a great B&B. With private courtyards and sea breeze as evidence, we created a unique romantic world for the newlyweds. The whole building is simple in design, which is super awesome!
The details of the wedding room decoration are fully entrusted. We worked with the B&B owner to decorate it. 15 themed rooms can accommodate close friends and relatives, bathtub twin rooms, and tatami suites, allowing guests to immerse themselves in a leisurely holiday atmosphere.
It takes only 2 minutes to walk to Zengcuo'an Food Street and Huandao Road Beach, and you can switch between wedding and travel photography at will. With a B&B covering weddings, honeymoons, and gatherings with relatives and friends, ”A Dream of Sea View” allows the love story to start gently between the mountains and the sea.
Thanks to such a good B&B, the wedding was warm and romantic! Worth recommending

The B&B rooms are very original, and you can park for free. The road outside the door is under construction and has not been opened yet. It will be more convenient after it is opened. It is quiet in a bustling city. The seafood noodles for breakfast are much more delicious than those in the restaurants on the street.

Cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetics were key factors in my decision. I visited at least five different accommodations before settling on this one. Here are the points I considered:
1. A spacious bathroom with a clean, mold-free showerhead, toilet, and sink, free of obvious stains.
2. Good ventilation with a window facing outwards (not the corridor) and screens (Xiamen winters are very hot and mosquito-prone).
3. Suitable bedding, a large bed, and a mattress that's neither too soft nor too firm. Plenty of space to easily access my luggage.
4. Safety and convenience. It shouldn't be too far from the main street; I was worried about safety if it was too far into alleys. This location offers easy access to a food street, convenient food delivery, and a short walk to the beach or bus stop within three minutes. Online booking is essential. I also considered factors like the host's communication skills and availability, but I won't go into detail.
5. Overall, it offers good value for money.
The pictures are accurate; what you see is what you get.

It is adjacent to Zengcuo An, Xiamen University, Huangcuo Beach, and is equipped with an underground parking lot. The transportation is convenient and the location is superior. It is only one road away from Music Beach Square and Shanhai Health Trail. It is only a 3-minute walk from Zengcuo An and Baojia CC PARK, and a 10 minute drive to popular attractions such as Xiamen Garden Botanical Garden, Twin Towers, and Nanputuo Temple. Only a 15 minute drive from Xiamen Station, a 15 minute drive from Xiamen Ferry Terminal, and a 30 minute drive from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, there is always unexpected warmth at the Ato Hotel.

I stayed at this hotel in Xiamen for New Year's Eve, and the overall experience had its pros and cons. Here's an objective sharing:
**Advantages:**
1. Excellent Location: Extremely close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk away, making it convenient for enjoying the sea breeze and watching the sunrise and sunset.
2. New Facilities: The hotel is newly opened, and everything in the room was brand new. The bedding was comfortable, and the toiletries were of good quality, making for a very comfortable stay.
3. Attentive Service: From check-in to check-out, the staff were very friendly and proactively offered assistance. When we pointed out that the bed in the family room was not the same size as shown on Ctrip, they promptly adjusted and replaced it.
4. Beautiful Environment: The hotel has a small garden connecting the guest rooms. On clear nights, you can see many stars, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
**Disadvantages:**
There is currently construction near the hotel. The hotel previously stated that construction would start after 9 am, but when we checked in on New Year's Day, construction noise started as early as 7:30 am. This significantly diminished the experience for those who wanted to sleep in. We contacted the hotel immediately, but it seems the communication between the hotel and the other party was unsuccessful. We also called the 12345 citizen hotline for intervention. According to 12345, construction would begin at 8:00 AM. (We recommend calling the hotel to confirm the specific construction time before your trip).
Therefore, if you are planning a vacation in Xiamen, want to relax by the sea, and have certain requirements for accommodation quality, this hotel's facilities and services are worth recommending. However, if you particularly value quiet in the morning, or need to return to your room to rest at noon, then you should consider the impact of construction on your rest.
⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐
I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊
From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏
I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator.
The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄
The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋
Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍
Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city.
What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯
The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely.
.
One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷
Overall: highly, highly recommended.
Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) is more than just a place to stay, it’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for. If you’re visiting Xiamen, this is truly one of the best choices: a 3-star property delivering 5-star service and comfort. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Booked this for a friend, and after looking at several options, I still went with this one because the location is truly excellent. Besides Jimei, which requires a subway ride, you can reach all other places by bike. Of course, if you don't want to cycle, you can walk 200 meters to the main road and catch the tourist special line 29, haha. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and helpful with travel tips. Having a washing machine was also very convenient.

Excellent
Ffernanda9The room was very clean and the environment was quiet. Xiao Bai (the staff) was very nice and upgraded us to a higher room category. Before we left, they even gave our child some small seashells, which was a very thoughtful touch.
The hotel breakfast was delicious, especially the Shacha noodles, which were tastier than any we'd had in the days before arriving on the island. The complimentary lunch included in the package was also very good, though the yellow croaker was a bit small, just one tiny fish.
At the end of September, when tourist traffic wasn't heavy, we arrived on the island at 11 AM. The shuttle service was perfectly arranged, helping us avoid the scorching sun. We later found out that a shuttle ride on the island costs 50 RMB per person, so for our family of three, we saved a good 150 RMB.
Most of the snacks on the island were just okay, but the Dayang Restaurant was quite good.
If you have the time, staying on the island is definitely recommended. You can avoid the midday sun and take your kids to play by the beach in the afternoon. Strolling around the island in the evening makes this a very high-value-for-money place.
Xiamen offers a resort experience similar to Sanya, yet also gives you the illusion of wandering through the streets and alleys of a small Hong Kong or Macau island.
TTianshizhimeng0412The room was spotless and the facilities were brand new. Being on a high floor, the soundproofing was excellent. I had booked a twin room, but the front desk attendant kindly upgraded me to a family suite for free. I extended my stay by another day, and it was in a different building. The staff member there was also very enthusiastic and personally escorted us to the new building. Overall, a great experience.
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and the bed was huge and very clean, so I slept soundly. There's also a mini-fridge in the room, perfect for storing fruit. The breakfast offered a lot of local specialties, and the Shacha Noodles were even better than those sold outside.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.
GGuest UserThis is a pretty good hotel. It's always well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. The only thing is the price fluctuates quite a bit; it was 270 for two rooms on the first day, but 360 for two rooms by the third day. The soundproofing is usually good, but yesterday, May 20th, everyone might have been too excited because the room next door was a bit noisy. Other than that, everything else was fine.
GGuest UserThis hotel stay was absolutely perfect! The breakfast was definitely the highlight – a wide variety of freshly cooked hot dishes, all very flavorful. The self-service egg-frying experience was especially enjoyable; you get to choose the eggs and control their doneness entirely on your own, making it both fresh and fun. Paired with porridge and their multigrain drinks, it was incredibly satisfying. The location is also impeccable, right next to the California Shopping Plaza, making shopping and dining super convenient without any planning. Even better, parking is fantastic – plenty of spaces and easy access. Just register your license plate at the front desk and it's free, eliminating a major concern for those driving. Overall, the service was attentive, the environment clean and comfortable, exceeding all expectations. It's excellent value for money, and I've already recommended it to my friends. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

Good
GGuest UserHotel is located in strategic location. It is very close to department store, walking street and metro station line 1. Hotel offers adequate breakfast and hot food. The room is comfy with big bathroom. The only downside of this hotel is no sound proof. I heard every noises from street horn, upstair, downstair and the worst of this trip was... my room is next to fire exit and house keeping room in the 3rd floor.
This was so so annoying and was interrupt with my sleep every night!!!
SShiyiLindaLocation: Right in the heart of Zhongshan Road, with all amenities readily available and very close to the ferry terminal.
Service: I had booked two king rooms and one twin room, all without windows. The front desk kindly upgraded them all to rooms with windows free of charge.
This is a small but exquisite hotel, and for the New Year period, the price was incredibly fair. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserArranged to the 11th or 12th floor, the decoration has not yet been completed, so there are only one or two rooms,
The room is very big, and the taste of the newly renovated is still there
The sea view outside is beautiful, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, and the price/performance ratio is okay
GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
