Great hotel, around a 5 minute walk from the centre and the beach. We travelled as a couple and found the hotel one of our favourites after 1 month in Thailand. Would highly recommend great value for money

We really enjoyed our stay at White sands. It seemed really good value for money. We stayed 11 nights with our family. We had three basic rooms. The rooms were really spacious and even had a glimpse of the sea from the balcony with a nice green view. We enjoyed the beach, though a couple of days the waves were too big to enter, but overall this part of the beach is not crowded and great for swimming, as it’s not too shallow, like Choengmon, which is more suitable for little kids and a little more crowded. The pool was also great with kids and for wavy days. Walking distance there is a neat view point and grandma-grandpa rocks, which are an attraction here. The restaurant service was sometimes extremely slow, however once in a while it’s nice to have the option of eating decently and not having to go anywhere far. Some things in the hotel might need a touch of maintenance, like the ACs - they’re a little old and noisy and blow strong right on the beds. We didn’t opt for the breakfast, bought once or twice on the spot, to keep our options open as there are pretty nice places around with bagels, pancakes or omelettes. The road, as mentioned in some previous comments didn’t bother us at all. It takes a couple minutes to walk to the main road with 7-eleven, fruit spot with amazing papaya and mango, pharmacies. Limaya Garden cafe is a little hidden gem of a cafe on the way to view point. Overall, the hotel was great for a relaxing vacation, seems like it has a lot of potential, hope it thrives!

Lamai Beach Resort – Relaxing Beachfront Stay we had a very pleasant stay at Lamai Beach Resort. The location is excellent, right on Lamai Beach, with beautiful sea views and easy access to the beach. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. we especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the sound of the sea. The staff were friendly, polite, and always helpful, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The resort grounds are well kept, and the overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing. This resort is perfect for anyone looking for a comfortable beachfront stay in Lamai. I would definitely recommend Lamai Beach Resort and would be happy to stay here again.

Great place to stay if you want peace and away from the busy streets and nightlife! We extended our stay because we felt so relaxed here! Consider renting a bike or car to get around the island as it’s not close to anything by foot. Thank you for your excellent hospitality and service.

The hotel staff and the owner were very good! They even have a friendly cat who will accompany you during the stay! However, the friendliness and kindness of the staff and owner will not help with the comfort of your stay! The rooms have a good view of the ocean, however they're small and the structure is built on some metal platform. So if the guests on the other room walk around or even talk, you can not only hear their footsteps, but the entire structures shakes. Also, for the 2 nights we stayed there, the guests in our next room were watching TV and we couldn't sleep well because of the noise. The rooms have zero sound proofing and the entire structure just shakes. Its okay for a short stay, however for the amount we were charged, it was definitely not t worth it. Even the high season doesn't justify the price we paid.

This is honestly the best review I have ever written, because this place was truly the top stay of our entire 46-day trip. The blankets and towels were always spotless, the room was very clean, fresh-smelling, and well taken care of. Every day the staff changed our towels, made the bed, and did some light cleaning: the service was outstanding. The receptionist was amazing, always friendly and ready to help. We left a 400-watt deposit, and when it was time to check out, everything was returned smoothly, with no problems at all. The location is excellent: very close to the beach, near food stalls and evening hangout spots, yet slightly separated from all the noise. This makes it ideal for resting, very calm and quiet. We also had coffee and some cookies included every morning, a small touch that made our mornings really pleasant. Everything about our stay was perfect — absolutely recommended!

We booked a family room. The room was very large and clean (it seemed to have been recently painted as there was a slight paint smell). There are two air conditioners in the room, but they blow directly onto the bed, so you need to be careful. The sea is across the road, and there's a beautiful sea view from the balcony (but also a construction site – the photo with the palm tree is the view from the balcony). The side windows in the room overlook a small cemetery, but it's all covered in greenery and flowering trees. As others have mentioned, the towels really do smell damp. Breakfast is minimal, but you can grab a bite: fruits like watermelon, pineapple, dragon fruit, bananas, chocolate cereal, milk, tea, coffee, toast, jam, and butter. The hotel faces a quiet street, but the buzzing sound from the wires is still quite noticeable. As a hotel for 2-3 nights, it's quite acceptable. Definitely go for the sunrise; the view from the rocks is absolutely stunning.

Clean, beautiful, located in front of a wonderful little beach. I would definitely return to this hotel again. They provided me with a free upgrade to a sea breeze room, with beautiful views of the ocean and the pool. The staff could not have been more attentive, kind and hardworking. The classes provided at the hotel are fantastic; I participated in hand massage, stretching and 2 beginner Muay Thai classes, all of which were fascinating and fun. I’d recommend this hotel based on the staff and classes alone, but the rooms are also beautiful and well serviced. One thing to be aware of is you are next to a busy road, which can be noisy at night due to fast cars and scooters travelling down it, but no big issue.

Very comfortable room, good atmosphere, close to tourist attractions, food, convenience stores.

This is a wonderful property. The rooms organized are very spacious and the showers are the best that I have experienced with the water pressure and the size of the shower. The bed could stand to be softer because it's doesn't have any cushion for the top level so it wasn't for the standards that I would like. A few issues I had was for the restaurant breakfast that there were no focused fans and it was very hot and humid even though it was in the open air. Sweating while eating breakfast dead 7:30 in the morning doesn't need to be that uncomfortable if they would put some focused fans would make such a difference. 2nd issue a parking attendant on the night of April 12th and 13th was not helpful at all, he sat at his chair and didn't guide where to park or assist with the traffic or parking, after I park my car and shut off the engine then he came to me and told me to move it forward more...why didn't he do his job when it required him to do so, plus he was not smiling (not polite for both my Thai partner and I). 3rd issue is regarding maid didn't change our sheet for our 3rd night. We put 4 pillows on the floor and stripped the bed cover before we left the room, so the maid can see the stains on the bed. We return to the room about 7pm and our bed was just cover it back up without changing the sheet plus non of the coffee items and bathroom items were replinished. Both of us enjoy this property location, view, pool, breakfast, all other staffs were very nice and polite including other parking attendant, except what we mentioned.
