"I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed from check-in to check-out. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of the city, walking distance to shops/restaurants/public transport. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully furnished, with comfy bedding, a well-designed layout, and amenities that included [list: e.g. espresso machine, high-speed Wi-fi, luxurious toiletries].
What really stood out was the staff service — everyone was warm, attentive and professional. From welcome greetings to helpful recommendations and prompt responses to requests, it made a big difference. The food and dining experience were also excellent: the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, and dinner at their onsite restaurant was memorable. loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it."
"Overall its a good hotel with quiet surroundings, walking distance to the lake garden. Followings are my comments particularly about the room.
1) The bed, not up to so claimed a 4 star hotel. Not comfortable & shaking with sounds, my room was 219.
2) The towel colour not purely white but creamy. The quality of the towel like a budget hotel. The amenities, the soap is so thin, slightly bigger than an old 50 cents coin.
3) Breakfast, quite of a variety of food served but sadly the tastes are not there.
4) Receptions at night, they switched off the entrance lights making it looks dark. This must be a directive from the management try to save electricity bills.
5) Last but not least the price I paid consider pricey. For a weekday with less than 10 cars, I have paid RM198.
6) With the comments I have mentioned above & their current standard, the ideal rate should be maximum RM150 per night. For the price I have paid better stay at Novotel. The staff need to be sent for customer service training.
7) For sure I won’t return with this kind of level of service."
"The Cozytainer is a unique container hotel, although the sparrow is small and complete. The environment is beautiful, with a coffee restaurant, and the food tastes good. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The only small drawback is that the sound insulation effect is average, but if the scorpion is a short stay, it is still worth experiencing for one night."
"Pro:
Great location near to hawker centre and convenience store.
Ample parking space for drivers and easy pickup and drop off if using grab.
Clean & spacious room with basic amenities (shampoo, shower gel, soap and toothbrush & toothpaste). The mattress is firm so good for the back.
Shower booth is very spacious which was nice, and water pressure is good.
Reception is friendly.
Con:
No slipper is provided so recommend to bring your own.
Near the mosque so there are some noises during their prayer time. You may ask for a room facing the school instead.
The lift is very slow and only 1.
The housekeeping in the morning is quite noisy."
"Hotel Flemington, Taiping – A Quiet Retreat by the Lake
As a first-time visitor to Taiping, I stayed at Hotel Flemington and found it to be a peaceful and relaxing place. While the location may feel a bit unusual at first – tucked away from the main town area – it actually offers a unique charm once you settle in.
One of the highlights is definitely the serene environment. The hotel is located right in front of the beautiful Taiping Lake Gardens, providing a scenic view and a calm atmosphere throughout the day. If you’re someone who enjoys nature walks, morning jogs, or simply sitting by the lake, this is a fantastic spot.
The surrounding area is quiet, making it ideal for those looking to unwind or escape the busier parts of the city. Despite the slightly odd location at first glance, the peacefulness and proximity to nature more than make up for it.
Overall, Hotel Flemington is a comfortable base for exploring Taiping, especially if you value tranquility and picturesque surroundings."
"The area is beautiful.. the house is clean.. The courtyard is relaxing... I am satisfied, it is difficult to check in and out... I have to call and ask and it is like self service... So far ************** okay n quiet area...."

Amazing
LLangkah NoHiBiHaIt was a homey two storey building with bunches of old antiques scattered around. Level two upstairs is wood flooring so no shoes allowed. Slippers provided to go to their wide and large bathrooms with water heaters, shampoo, soap etc. There's a small veranda beside the bathrooms upstairs. Iron and hair dryers also provided. Wide lockers at the bottom of the bunk beds. Mini fridge, coffee and tea for everyone to use. Two front doors for double security. Hosts are friendly.
CChengLocation just nice to me as we can walking to Taiping lake in the morning and having our morning tea time at 988 hawker which quite suit for my dad taste. In between, we can walk to the hawker center which near Taiping Mall to have You Zha Kui and Tau Fu Hua. We go Spritzer ecopark within 15min from the hotel. Just nice for me and my families to relax in the hectic life. We had been in Taiping as families for 3 times at the same hotel . Will back here for more trips.
GGuest UserThe facilities were great. Room, linen, towels, etc were very clean and I was impressed with the quality of everything in general about the room.
Service provided by Mr. Kor was also responsive, friendly and helpful. Location was good with short walks to most places of interest in KS. Beautiful views of life in the river as well.
Did not managed to patronize the restaurant as it was only a short trip. Maybe next trip.
Everything was great. Maybe not as suitable at the moment for the less mobile/elderly as the Elevators are not yet installed, but everything else is top notch. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel if you're visiting the area.
GGuest UserOverall good comfortable, clean. However water pipe too loud, woke us up early in the morning when someone use the toilet 😞. Coffee, kettle provided. Staffs are friendly.
AAlanJBA really nice place outside of the old city in a busy new area with malls on the doorstep.
Be aware, the guy on reception tried to charge me a tax and I had to show him my booking to get the money back as trip had included it in the cost.
Other than that a very nice place.
PPoppetStayed a night last week. The accommodation is satisfactory, value for money. The room comes with towels and basic necessities and a simple yet satisfying breakfast is included in the price. There is no lifts, so for seniors is best to request for ground floor rooms. However its location just across the Taiping Lake where one can enjoy a hassle free morning stroll along The Raintree Walk taking in the serene beauty of landscape, with the arrival of storks and squirrels enjoying their morning climb says it all. Will definitely stay there again. Thumps-up to their helpful and friendly staffs too.
NnIKi nIksThe accommodation is just next to the jetty for boat trip. There's no signboard so find the Kang Kao restaurant and it's just on the G floor. I booked a family room with a bunk bed, only to realise there's no window. Tried calling the accom but both phones number not working. Ended up emailing them from the email provided in their website. managed to get changed of room with balcony. Simple room, no TV no WiFi provided. Shower is open top, hot water provided.
GGuest UserWe arrived at the hotel around 2 AM, and the check-in process was smooth even at that hour.
Since it was already dark, we couldn’t see much when we checked in. But to our surprise, our room had a balcony with a stunning mountain view — such a lovely sight to wake up to in the morning!
The room was decent and comfortable, with a water heater in the bathroom. All basic toiletries were provided, which made our stay very convenient. A good, fuss-free place to rest.
There’s also a 7-Eleven just a few steps away from the hotel — super handy for quick snacks or essentials. And if you're driving, the hotel has underground parking space too, which is definitely a plus.
YYR WongKind of older TV device and TV channels.
Extra bed may not fitting into your room, for my situation, the bed only fits perfectly after I let the staff take off the bed frame/ bedstead and only put the mattress between the area of bed and the window(it's the biggest and the only space for fitting the bed inside the room).
Toilet paper were thinner and softer than normal toilet paper that we can buy at general shop, supermarket or store.
For the room I stay this time, the water flow of sink is slower and seems have some blockage inside the pipeline which make the water flow that drain away become slower than usual.
Maybe harder to find a car park when it's at the peak period of day or time.
