Santa Marina Hotel ★★★
"We thought the Santa Marina was an excellent hotel. Exceptionally clean, the room was very comfortable, lovely comfy beds and nice pillows. The towels were nice too. The bathroom had recently been refurbished, but the shower still leaked and we had to put a small towel on the floor! That's not uncommon in Greek bathrooms though, in our experience! Our balcony had a nice view down to the sea and it was lovely to sit there in the evening. The breakfast was good, our only complaint was the lack of choice of fruit - watermelon (which I don't like) or tinned peaches every day. We ate at the hotel three times and the dinner buffet was excellent, good quality and a wide choice. The air conditioning in the restaurant made it very cold, we preferred to sit outside on the terrace with a lovely view. However for those who chose to eat inside there was lovely gently music playing. We found the staff all to be friendly and helpful. The only thing that slightly spoiled our holiday was that there was a family with a small child (under two) who was a screamer, we could often hear it screaming from our room, and also late afternoons by the pool the family were always there. We like peace and quiet when on holiday. We didn't go on the beach in Agios Nikitas as it was too crowded, and I felt the walk to Milos beach would be too much for me, but fortunately we had a hire car and were able to drive to other places. But I must warn people - Lefkada is a very crowded island, even in September. The roads down to the west coast beaches were always rammed with parked cars, and if you met something coming the other way it could be very tricky indeed. Lefkada is a stunningly beautiful island, and the Santa Marina is a great hotel, but if you don't like busy places probably better to choose another island."
Crystal Waters ★★★★
"The hotel is new, modern, and very clean. I would recommend having an adult-only pool, as during our stay they were all overflowing with children playing and diving. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Joanna in the breakfast room, but everyone was truly attentive and professional."
Old Boat ★
Porto Ligia ★★★
"We loved the hotel. The best location so near the sea. Beautiful views from sea view room Some road noise and could see the road from our room but that is the only negative. Rooms were kept spotless , clean towels every day and bed changed alternately Free air con, pool towels and safe Lovely helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with fantastic choice of fresh fruit and other coke buffet items. Amazing to sit on terrace watching the boats go by. We tried three local tavernas which were all very good and used hire car for 12 nights to see the rest of the island. Nidri was about 20 minutes drive away with 30 tavernas on sea front . We counted ! Loved that the sea had a lake feel in places.Swimming was brilliant all over the island. Towards the end of June things started to get busier."
Summer Bed Nydri ★★★
"FAR- THE DIRTEST place I've ever been- on the second night THEY BITTEN the friend we lost together with the KORIAN and we were running and we couldn't reach him. we left in a hurry and of course there was no mention of financial compensation. plus THEY STOLE ALL OUR SHOES 4 pairs of Nike sneakers - he also had undeclared Roma cleaning staff so that he wouldn't pay as the locals told us the sloppy owner.."
Surf Hotel ★★
"Once you get your head around the fact that the hotel is pretty basic, it's a brilliant place to be. Our room was small, had a rustic wooden, free standing wardrobe, the hangers were mismatched, the shower ran a bit hot and cold and it was generally a little tired.....but....do not let my words put you off. It also had air conditioning and a fridge and did the job. We didn't pay "plush" money and we got what we paid for. The location is fabulous. Walk out onto the promenade and turn right, you have great restaurants less than a 5 minute stumble away. Turn left and you have a 10-15 minute walk into all the action at the port and you pass numerous bars on the way. The hotel breakfast is fine and plenty of it. The bar serves food between 13:00 and 16:00. Do not miss out. The food is fantastic. I'm told it's family run and many ingredients are home produced. Whatever, very tasty for a break in the middle of the day. The staff were friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I'd recommend it as long as you have the correct expectations. I would certainly go back and may well do that."
Elisso Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"I had an excellent stay at this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations in all the ways that matter. From the moment I arrived, the management stood out as genuinely warm, attentive, and committed to making the experience smooth and enjoyable. Every interaction felt personal and thoughtful, which set the tone for the entire stay. The location is one of the hotel’s greatest strengths. It’s incredibly convenient — just a short walk to the beach and close to a variety of restaurants, making it easy to enjoy the area without needing a car for every outing. For anyone interested in wind surfing, this is an ideal spot. The conditions are consistently good, and the proximity to the water makes it effortless to get out on the board whenever the mood strikes. The pool area is beautifully maintained, offering a relaxing alternative to the beach. Whether you want to swim, sunbathe, or unwind with a book, it’s a peaceful and inviting space. Parking is available and easy, which is a major advantage in busy coastal towns where parking can often be a challenge. Inside, the hotel continues to impress. The rooms were spotless, clearly cared for with attention and pride. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the space cool and comfortable even during hot afternoons. The room size was very comfortable, offering enough space to settle in without feeling cramped — ideal for both short stays and longer vacations. Overall, this hotel delivers a well-rounded, high-quality experience. It combines excellent management, a prime location, great amenities, and true comfort. Whether you’re here for beach days, wind surfing, or simply a relaxing getaway, it’s a place that gets all the essentials right and makes your stay feel effortless."
Afroditi Pansion ★★★
"The friendlyiest guys you will be find in Lefkada! The apartment have all what you need for the holiday and if you need more its no problem they give it!"
Nefeli Wind Club ★★
"Booked foiling rental equipment - they took €100 deposit. When we arrived - completely inadequate kit. One board for two people and two old kites. No safety provisions and no knowledge of conditions. Emailed to discuss refund / no response."
Choose the Perfect Lefkada Stay for Your Travel Needs
Ponti Beach Hotel
"We didn't have a particularly positive experience staying at this hotel or in the resort in general. I would personally go as far as to say you might want to consider staying in Sivota or Nidri if you are heading to Lefkada and you're British, as the resorts are "much" more friendly and welcoming. Pros and cons provided below. CONS 1. We both found what was either the general manager or owner, to be rude and unwelcoming. Respectfully, we can only describe her as a lady in her later years and have only done so to ensure the criticism is directed at the right person. Definitely one of the most unfriendly and unwelcoming staff members we've ever encountered in any accommodation we've stayed in, and we've travelled extensively. She wasn't even polite when we checked out, so we'll happily take our business elsewhere! 2. Younger staff were mostly friendly, but not very attentive. Tables in the bar / restaurant area were frequently left uncleared in the evenings, even when the bar was empty and we were the only ones there. 3. Chemicals used to clean the floors in the hotel public areas absolutely stink and nearly made us sick on multiple occasions. I'm not joking. Whatever they are using is sickly. 4. Room cleaning service needs serious attention. Initially, the room did look very clean. However, once you get down on the floor and look under the bed and sofas, you'll realise that's far from the case and some areas don't appear to be getting cleaned properly or at all. I took photos and video for reference, but hope this written feedback will be enough for the hotel to take action. 5. As mentioned below in 'pros, we had one of the newer rooms and it featured the biggest balcony we've ever seen in any hotel. Whilst it did provide a great photo opportunity with the beach in the background, it was generally a huge wasted opportunity. The only furniture on the balcony was a table with some upright chairs just outside of the room. No sun loungers to allow you to utilise the space in any positive way. 6. Breakfast - None of the food was covered up to protect from flies and other insects. PROS 1. We had one of the newer rooms, and the balcony area was absolutely gigantic, with stunning views out over Vasiliki beach. This really is impressive! Unfortunately, the huge balcony is also a negative for the reasons stated above in 'cons'. 2. Bedrooms are modern and spacious with huge comfortable sofas, beds, and even a fridge. 3. Bathroom was modern, clean, and featured an amazing shower with great water pressure. 4. Breakfast was fine in terms of selection overall. 5. Swimming pool and surrounding area looked really nice with ultra modern sun loungers and a fantastic view of the beach beyond - we didn't get to use this as we were out exploring everyday, so can't comment on cleanliness as we only ever viewed it from the bar and car park above. 6. Ample on-site parking - those with health issues may want to check if there is space in the car park just "
Porto Galini Seaside Resort & Spa
"It was the 7th time visiting the hotel, as the previous years we had the best experience in the hotel in all sections. Unfortunately this year things changed. Some of previous facilities changed like for example the amenities at the room(some were used when we arrived), towels removed from the beach feeling that there was a beach police, some things that needed renovation especially the antisliders at the steps were almost destroyed and not changed. Most of the staff (same people that working there the previous years) were rude, unhelpful especially the new manager. When we said we have been 7 times here and it was the first time we have this behavior towards us, his answer was “I don’t even care we are always full”… the previous manager was a brilliant person and helpful"
Grand TheoNi Boutique Hotel & Spa
"Located on the main street of Vassiliki, the southern part of Lefkada, the Grand Theoni is a very pleasant, well-maintained hotel with adequately spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms. The receptionists were very friendly and always quick to respond to our every request. The breakfast was the usual hotel fare, with some local specialties. Highly recommended."
Lefkas Petra
"This a really well located and comfortable place, with simple but delightful roo.s with a lovley view over the bay. Extremely kind and helpful owner and staff. This was our second time here, and we will return. Outstanding value too! Thank you! "
Katouna Suites Luxury Boutique Hotel Adults Only
Allure Retreat Villa
Hotel Grand Nefeli
"The hotel bears little resemblance to the impression given on the website. This is not four star luxury accommodation. Nearly everything about this place is dishonest e.g Grand Suites having Spa Baths. There are no spa baths in this hotel. We stayed in the VIP Grand Suite: very tatty with lots of maintenance issues, sink smelt terrible. Management rude and aggressive. No interest in fixing anything. Very little hot water. Shower head inoperable. Do yourself a favour, book somewhere else."
Ionian Blue Bungalows and Spa Resort
"My report is very contradictory, but just to say, we would revisit the Ionian Blue Hotel. So, two couples, in our 60s wanted to visit Lefkada. We chose the Ionian Blue Hotel, for it’s 5* status. It’s in a district called Nikiana, which is not far from Nikiana Town and Nidri Town – both needing a taxi to get to, so maybe good to hire a car to get around? We’d booked superior rooms, with sea views. I can honestly say the views were absolutely stunning. We have travelled a lot and we haven’t had a view like that in quite some time. A nice balcony with chairs, to enjoy the sun rise. But the room itself was a little tired. We were only staying for four nights, so we didn’t want to make a fuss and we got ourselves comfortable. We didn’t have tea/coffee making facilities, but a bottle of water. Water isn’t expensive at the hotel, so no need to go out, traipsing around for a supermarket. There is a minibar, free of use, as is the safe. Our bathroom was pretty big, with a few toiletries, but the problem being that the main shower, was in a cubicle with the toilet, so the toilet and floor got soaked. We ended up standing in the bath and showering, but water still managed to go everywhere, so we were forever mopping up. We were provided with new towels every day. But, had we been staying longer than 4 nights, even with that fantastic view, I would have asked to have been moved. The room itself was big, with lots of mirrors, lots of storage space, a nice big dressing table but, to be honest, I used the bathroom to get ready – that’s where the hairdryer is – attached to the wall, and there was a lot of worktop to store all my things. There is no iron or ironing board in the room, but you can request one, and there is also a cleaning/ironing service. I tend to rinse small items, and I missed a little washing line. The aircon was great in our room – no problem whatsoever. Their main restaurant is very big – lots of inside seating, and a nice terrace. We were B&B, so ate on the terrace, over-looking the Ionian Sea, which was pleasant. Smoking is allowed outside. Saying that, most places in Lefkada allow smoking. And, I was pleased to say we only saw one cat, which people did annoyingly feed. Not that there were many people at the hotel – it was empty! They had had a big Porsche conference, just before we arrived, and as we were leaving, the pool area was being cleared of all sunbeds, as a wedding was about to take place, so you would have to go out for the day, or go down to the jetty. And, going back to breakfast, the choice was very limited. But, we managed to always find something. Now on to the pool area, it’s very nice, with spongy cushions and because the hotel was empty, we sometimes found that we had the pool to ourselves. It was a decent size, clean, with beautiful views. There’s a little bar/restaurant, near the pool, with a couple of sofas to sit and enjoy the views. And, tables and chairs if you are going to eat. And"
Nirikos Hotel
"The air conditioning was not working, which we reported, but they couldn't fix the problem (they offered another room, but it didn't have a sea view). The bathtub was child-sized, the wifi was useless, the breakfast wasn't very varied. However, the location of the hotel and the view from the room were fabulous."
Eleftherion Comfort Living Lefkada
"As a digital nomad, I couldn’t ask for more – fast and stable Wi-Fi, total peace, and the beauty of nature right outside. Perfect place to get your work done and unwind."
Thomais Boutique Hotel
"We visited this hotel for one night. We where welcomed with much respect and felt comfort. The owners are kind and helpful. “Hers paradise” room is great with view to a magnificent green landscape. Our stay was perfect. We hope to visit it again for more days."
Lefkada Center Apartments
"Perfect location, clean. Minus - there wasn’t hot water on the second day."
Artblue Villas
"We stayed for a week at Villa Iasmos - what an amazing place! The hospitality at Artbluevillas is second to none. I have travelled far and wide, and taken many villas before, and this experience was the best of all of them. Dina and Natasha consistently went out of their way to look after us beautifully - nothing was too much, and they worked very hard to make our holiday an outstanding experience. From delivering a mouthwatering breakfast daily to us (very spoiling, and something I have never experienced before on a villa holiday), to recommending a spectacular (and very reasonable) day's boat trip, and a wonderful masseuse who came to our villa, to delivering daily into our fridge a beautiful glass jug of fresh water, with mint and sliced lemon in, to recommending beaches and restaurants. Their team ensured that the villa, pool and outside space was always spotless, and the villa was as new and beautifully kept. Natasha would bring us little 'treats', eg. a tray of their own Artbluevillas camomile tea and teapot, and even one day a little locally-made fresh liqueur. The kitchen is very well-stocked, and they always ensured that the coffee pods etc were replenished daily. The view was sensational - the villa is set high up in the hills, surrounded by trees and nature, with a vista to the stunning blue sea, and with spectacular sunsets. We loved the floating mattress set at one end of the pool, which was lovely to lie on whilst watching the sun set. The beds and pillows are supremely comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep, and I loved the copper bathroom basins, and the complimentary Olive Era toiletries! The villa was very modern and stylish. What a truly wonderful week - thank you to all of you at Artbluevillas. We shall DEFINITELY return!!"
Allure Central Boutique Hotel
"This hotel is fabulous. It is quiet with helpful staff beyond excellence. The rooms are spacious clean and the bed is even better than my own. The location is central with plenty of amenities within walking distance I reccommend withoit hesitation"
Alexaria Holidays Homes
Townhouse Lefkada
"The hotel is new, the front desk staff are polite and welcoming, and check-in is quick and easy. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the amenities are new and of good quality. The kitchen is fully equipped. It's tidy and hygienic, and the bathroom has no unpleasant odors. The location is excellent, with its own parking. It's a few minutes' walk to the city center, and there are many restaurants, bakeries, and cafes nearby. It offers great value for money and is highly recommended."
