"A unique, romantic hotel. I have mobility issues, but managed the stone steps up to the first floor. It was well worth the climb. It was like stepping back into medieval times, with the most stunning bed and soft furnishings. The window overlooks the street, but it was not too noisy. Bathroom was adequate and very clean.The breakfast was a full continental with cold meats, pastries, fresh coffee, etc. An absolute bargain at 5euros each. Best of all, Gabriella was an outstanding host who made us feel very welcome. Perfect location and excellent value for money."

Great breakfast- best cappuccino I had in Italy. Check in, luggage handler, wait staff were all exceptional. The room was great. Walking distance from the train station, the walls of the city and the rest of Lucca. So glad we were able to visit!"
