Alessandro was a great help in recommending restaurants and even organised an excellent wine tasting for us in the hills above Lucca. Only slight drawback was the noise at night although this is what you would expect from a central location (and ear plugs were supplied!). Thoroughly recommend."

"Sorry I was unable to sleep comfortably. Noise from street and corridor. Historical wooden windows don’t have sound protection. Door also was without sound protection - 1* star amenities. 2* star for service because accommodation doesn’t have 24 reception, no breakfast. 2* star for location because entrance from narrow street, no view from windows. 4* star fro cleanliness - a new renovated accommodation but it’s not a hotel. No bar/cafe, no lobby. Good location. Nice historical town."

"Really rude man. Dodnt answer any calls or messages when trying to get in building to check in. Finally let in to be told room wasn't ready and would be hour and a half. No apology ans he was extremely rude when we dis finally go back to check in. Also tries to convince.you to go to a cafe for breakfast that we found out he owns. Stayed on top floor and you hear pigeons from 5am umtil after 8pm constantly cooing so didn't sleep at all"

"If you are visiting Lucca for the LSF summer festival this is a great find. Just a 10 minute walk to the big stadium and 15 to the one in the square. The rooms are quite small but really well equipped with air conditioning and the hosts could not have done more to make us feel at home. They even extended check out to help us with post Blur recovery!!"

"Perfectly good midrange hotel with decent facilities and warm and quiet. Friendly english speaking staff, decent breakfast and 7 mins walk from bus stops to the north and south, both of which connect to the station. Location near amfiteatro so could not be more central. Looks a bit tatty on the outside and is perfectly good on the inside, which is typical of the whole of Italy. Definitely returning."

"Beautiful old Italian style hotel. Stayed for 2 nights. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. Ate in restaurant food was average and vegetarian limited but they did make a pasta and pesto dish for me which wasn’t on the menu - much appreciated thank you. I would say the only problem is that it states “walking distance to Lucca” - google maps says it takes 1 hour! A shuttle bus to and from Lucca would probably make us stay again."

"This was the most beautiful accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. The pictures do not do it justice. It is absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool area was clean and picturesque. The woman who checked us in on Saturday September 30, 2023 was so friendly and helpful, and she also served us our dinner that night when we came down to eat after relaxing by the pool all day. She was a wonderful and kind member of staff that was clearly working very hard all day. The sunset during our dinner was gorgeous, and the pasta dishes we got were amazing. My only regret is that we only stayed here for one night before moving on to Lucca city centre- next time we will definitely extend our stay at this little piece of Tuscan heaven."
