Built in 2018, our modern 3 bedroom home can sleep 6 people with its 3 seperate bedrooms, making it ideal for travelling with couples or the whole family. Take advantage of Lake Eildon being at full capacity on a warm sunny day with our home being only a 15 minute drive to Bonnie Doon and featuring a great kitchen/dining/living area with ample bench space and outdoor patio with bbq, making it perfect for spending a day on the water then relaxing with great company in our open plan entertaining area.The private master bedroom is located at the rear of the house away from the other two bedrooms and includes a large walk in wardrobe and modest ensuite. Completely relax after a long day under the large rain shower head and heated lights for those colder winter days. Two bedrooms are located at the front of the house on opposite sides of the hallway, one with a queen size bed and the other with two king single beds. The perfect little area to unwind and enjoy the afternoon sunsets whilst still being able to see the kids playing inside or outside. Nestled into a rocky outcrop in Victoria’s High Country, Robbie Walker has designed and built an off-grid family home with integrity, beauty and the grit to withstand the extremes of its surrounding environment. Balancing openness to the exceptional views against the imperative for shelter from the elements on the exposed hilltop, Mansfield House is a home of two halves.The building responds to the dichotomous demands of inhabiting a place inhospitable and awe-inspiring in equal measure.The spaceMansfield House presents a panoramic view across the rugged and expansive landscape of Taungurung country – this terrain and its unruly weather conditions are formative to the home’s design. The north-facing half of the house features double-glazed, floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, framing the most exquisite views. “To the east is Mount Buller, and then to the west you get these crazy sunsets and when the lake’s full you get to see [Lake] Eildon,” Robbie explains. A concerted effort was made to privilege the vast scenery with minimal obstruction from the building.The house has a Master bedroom and ensuite, with stunning Mt Buller views.
