"The hotel's value for money is excellent for a four-star hotel. Just around the right turn from the hotel is one of the best beaches on the island, with a small section of reef for snorkeling. The food was great; you could find everything you need. I wasn't particularly impressed with the a la carte restaurants, except for the steakhouse, but it's hard to get a reservation. I didn't like the Indian restaurant at all. The entertainment was also rather modest, but we don't go to those "shows" anyway; it's fine for us. The room was clean, and if you request it in the app, they'll bring you anything you might need, even slippers and a toothbrush. There are some downsides, of course: the glasses at the pool bar are a bit tacky, and the towels you get in the room and on the beach are sometimes threadbare, but that's if you're really looking for something to complain about. There's absolutely nowhere to go in the area on foot. Overall, everything met our expectations. We had a great time."

Everything is here, singing birds and views, there is a beach for swimming with a lagoon, and there is a wild one with huge waves for photography or just enjoying the views, golf, a warm outdoor jacuzzi, swimming pools, wonderful view rooms, villas with a private pool are excellent! The food is also good! We were greeted with sparkling cake and upgraded the villa! Although the vacation was overshadowed by the fact that I left the ERES swimsuit at Villa 216 on a hanger in the bathroom... I wrote everywhere and for two weeks now, I get the answer... “no no no one found anything anywhere” well of course! There was no need to look, he was there... We draw conclusions... maybe the manager is not aware of the situation, well, at least he can read it, I hope they will still contact us upon return"

The pier for whale and dolphin chasing boats is right at the door. Whale chasing boats must be booked in advance. It is best to find a local Chinese guide to book a boat with radar. The hotel includes breakfast. It is about 3 kilometers away from Casela Zoo, which is very close. You can make an appointment directly on Casela's official website for a 10 o'clock walk with lions, and join the 11:30 zoo sightseeing tour bus an hour later. Basically, you can complete the trip in half a day. You can arrange surfing in the afternoon, and eat crispy pizza at the pizza shop next to it in the evening, and then go back to the hotel pool to listen to the band singing."

"First of all...what you see on the pictures is not the same....very poor quality on the services...one person running the reception and bar area and one waiter serving the food for all meals who has a bad attitude and zero skills in the line of work employed to do...waiting for long periods to have your meal served while busy serving others drinks from bar outside...the rooms are not as what is shown on images instead you get a bachelor like room with a double bed no table or chairs to sit on. Even to clean the room we managed to fix our schedule to be out the room before 10h in the morning so that they can clean it but even this we arrived in the room at 15h15 and was still the same as we left it with the explanation that they were thinking we left the hotel like our last day which was not,the whole day from 10 o'clock till 15h 15 they didn't even check if we here or not."

I loved that the rooms come with a small kitchenette if you feel like whipping up a quick meal. Plus, they offer a washing machine and dryer that guests can use for free, which was incredibly convenient for a longer stay. There is a beautiful, sparkling clean swimming pool that overlooks the ocean, making it the perfect spot to lounge and look at the sea. What truly sets this hotel apart is the people. The reception team, Ali, Nawfal, Jenifer, and the manager Yanish were the most wonderful, welcoming hosts. They had smiles on their faces all the time, genuinely asked how my day was, and looked for ways to help every single time they saw me. The onsite restaurant, Le Skipper, had gorgeous ocean/beach view, and the food was fantastic. "This is my second hotel in Mauritius. The front desk service wasn't as good as the Hilton. There was no welcome drink upon arrival, so I just had to wait. There seemed to be more mosquitoes than at the Hilton, and the outdoor pool felt a bit dirtier than at the Hilton. Their restaurant is large and has a wide variety of dishes, but the flavors weren't to my liking, like the odd-tasting fried noodles and the overly sweet barbecued pork buns. The service at the Deer Hunter restaurant was good, but reservations had to be made a day in advance. The decor is magnificent. Overall, I had no disappointments, but I haven't given it a rave review."

A special mention goes to Mrs Sherina and Mrs Usha from the Front Office for their kindness, professionalism, and attentive support during the stay. The culinary experience was equally impressive, with a varied and delicious buffet / à la carte offered daily. Kudos to Chef Ramphul of Belle Vue Restaurant and Chef Boojawon of La Marée Restaurant for the quality and consistency of the food. Special thanks as well to Head waiter Rakesh of La Marée, along with the dedicated kitchen support staff, whose efforts greatly enhanced the food experience. The rooms, public areas, and gardens were impeccably maintained, reflecting the high standards of the resort. The daily evening entertainment was diverse, lively, and thoroughly enjoyable. We would also like to particularly acknowledge Mr Krishna Sanmuthiya, the newly appointed Resort Manager and Director of Operations. His constant presence throughout the resort and his daily interactions with guests made everyone feel genuinely welcomed. He is living proof of a results-oriented manager committed to excellence and guest satisfaction. As a small suggestion, we would love to see traditional Mauritian pancakes reintroduced to the breakfast buffet — a local touch that would make the experience even more special. "The hotel has no equipped parking. You will have to leave your car on the side of the road. There is no beach as such. There is a breakwater with steps. But when swimming from it you can step on a sea urchin. Also, sometimes you can feel the current from the waves and this creates an additional level of discomfort when swimming. A very interesting place for snorkeling, but the nif is not alive and they are only trying to restore it."
