"What a smashing wee hotel. We had a room on the 1st floor with terrace which was fantastic as we had direct access out onto the courtyard grass area with patio tables and loungers. The hotel is immaculate with modern interiors and a gym with spa. The whole ambience is cool and calm and peaceful and the location is fantastic, only a 2 min walk from the main areas and 5mins from the bus station if you fancy a trip elsewhere. If you are looking for a small, very friendly and peaceful hotel with lovely staff in an amazing location in beautiful Ciutadella this hotel will be for you. We would definitely go back."

"What a great little place I was so impressed from the moment I entered the door, we were given a code to enter the door and get our room key which was all very simple and organised. The room was above and beyond my expectations with a fantastic bathroom and rain shower. There is a kitchen area upstairs where you can make yourself something to eat and a lovely roof terrace with great views over the rooftops down to the harbour and only a few minutes walk down to gorgeous Cala fonts. Last but not least I need to mention the owner Jody she was such a great help with everything and even organised a taxi to take us back to the airport. Thank you for such a great few days we will definitely be back. "

"Apartments supposedly with 4 keys. Or at least, that's how you pay the tourist tax, like LUXURY apartments. Nothing could be further from the truth. Mold and rust everywhere inside the apartment, many elements with great wear, the pool with the joints full of algae, one of the days they gave us a DIRTY towel. The staff is friendly, although they should train them in languages ​​or they waste/waste time when checking in foreigners because they don't understand each other… incredible that a receptionist at a hotel in Menorca doesn't even know basic English. The category should be adjusted to what it really is. I would not go back."

A formal complaint to the hotel's manager was not answered at all and upon check-out she totally ignored us. I am not sure it was worth the 7K in total expenses. After Torrelbenc, we went to Mallorca and finally came back to Menorca at Gran Faustino Hotel in Ciutadella. Definitely, the latter has a much better service level."

"The hotel is nice, the quality of the swimming pools are excellent, and the adult area is absolutely fantastic this is heated, however the service level on the 20th - 27th September from the bar staff was very very slow and prices extremely expensive. We had to constantly ask for a drink we’re they could have been proactive and come and asked if you wanted a drink or anything else!! I’ve stayed in many hotels of 5 star status but this hotel is very expensive for drinks. We stayed half board which we deeply regret now! And the main reason for this was the menu doesn’t change and items on the menu I liked they didn’t have like prawns for 3 consecutive days and then when they did have prawns they were very small and warm and the portion was very small. However that was the exception as the other starters were very huge in general and often was too much for a starter and filled you up before the main meal. The main courses were very very salty we asked on the second night for NO salt but it still came salty and for someone who doesn’t like a lot of salt spoiled the meals this happened on three separate occasions so we gave up with the restaurant and used the Soa area in the hotel for food but on half board this isn’t starter main and dessert! They had NO vanilla ice cream for the last 4 days of our holiday which for a 5 star hotel I found very poor indeed. The staff were all very pleasant but got let down by the quality of the food on offer and the fact that certain things were not available. On the last night the noise was constant from 10pm till 5am as the hotel accepted a group of young people on our last night who were loud and roudy that was certainly not in keeping with a 5star hotel. We book these hotels so we’re not in a loud 18-30 holiday scene but on the last night that is what the hotel did. This has sealed my decision not to come back to the hotel infuture as I don’t spend alot of money out for piece and quiet and be kept awake by drunken youths."

"A lovely modern hotel with very good facilities, perhaps especially well suited to couples. The hotel was so welcoming from the moment we arrived - rather late- to be warmly welcomed by the lovely receptionist, who was part of a great team - always helpful. The room was spacious, with a balcony (some overlook the pool, which are great in May - the other side might be better when it is hotter later in the season?). There's a big comfortable bed, an in room safe, and tea and coffee making facilities - and a fridge. We found several English TV channels if needed. It was kept sparklingly clean. The outside pool was lovely - though apparently, we were brave going in (it wasn't cold! Some people found it cool apparently...). The spa is lovely, and usually easy to book the day before - it often booked up in the later afternoon. The pool was great, and there was a sauna and steam room. The staff were lovely. You could have various treatments too. We enjoyed the food (one of us is veggie), and there was lots of choice at both breakfast and dinner on our half board package (lots of people were on half board). Lots of fruit, veg and salad, as well as a wide choice of mains, starters and desserts. Drinks were not included, but were very reasonable - cocktails comparable to the UK, other drinks slightly cheaper. A very pleasant chilled cava was always on offer, and went well with the food. The pool bar also served drinks, snacks and tea and coffee during the day. We'd researched it beforehand, but the location might be an issue for some people. We loved it - it's in a fairly residential, quiet area, on a small bay, and walking distance to two others (Cala Blanca and Sa Caleta). There were good local buses, very reasonable (we did make a mistake once and overshot our stop!!), and we did hire a car for a few days to see some more remote parts of the island. The hotel helped with this, too. Ciutadella was walkable if you are moderately fit, or a short taxi or bus journey away. Finally, I can't speak highly enough of the staff. Everyone was so professional and friendly - the reception team, the bar staff, all of the waiting staff in the restaurant, the spa staff, and all of the very many cleaners were a delight - and everyone was so patient with our stumbling language skills. A big thank you for making our holiday so relaxing and enjoyable."

"Room was very clean and beds have new mattresses. New reception really looked fresh and spacious. Floor tiles around the pool area did a lot of clonking as they require taking up and relaying. Bar area was OK but tables and floor need cleaning regularly but not enough staff to do these chores. The paying an euro for a plastic glass seemed crazy. Some staff seemed confused about drinks. Toilets didn't have hand soap available and had to find some out of other toilets. Toilets near pool very small and floor slippy. No attendant going round checking up. Food on most occasions was cold and therefore not edible. Had salads most of the time I stayed in. Cost me a lot of money going to eat out in the evening Breakfast was always good and variable. Staff always tried to be helpful and made you welcome. I believe the food needs to be better and hot and it will be excellent. Going again in September so hope issues sorted and I do understand the hotels has changed hands recently. It's a lovely hotel and are is wonderful quiet and safe. Just up the anti please"

"Stayed at hotel Patricia with friends ( 4 of us) for 3 nights. The location of the hotel is very good with everything within 5 /10 minutes walk. Cituadella is a lovely city with a buzzing yet relaxed atmosphere. Our room was of a decent size equipped with a fridge, mini bar ( if you wanted it) and complimentary toiletries. We had a walk in shower which was excellent and very clean and hot. The hotel has a small outdoor pool on the lower level with a few sun beds and a few tables and chairs plus a small but well equipped gym and a pool table. The hotel is bed and breakfast only and breakfast although not vast, was of good quality and tended to be more on the continental side, meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, limited cereals although there is a small choice of cooked items eggs, bacon etc. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere. Rooms and common areas reception etc all gleaming which I really liked. Staff from reception to house keeping are all helpful polite and welcoming. I think the only negative thing I could say ( if I had to) is that the hotel doesn’t have a bar. That being said there are plenty of lovely little bars within 2 or 3 mins walk so not really a problem. It would have been nice just to have a drink at the hotel before going out to a restaurant for dinner but that’s just personal choice. Would we stay again? Absolutely👍and probably will at some point. "We had a stay between the 20th and 25th September (5 nights) with the All Inclusive option. On the 2nd night there was moderate rain with thunder, and a reasonable amount of water appeared inside the apartment (kitchen area) which flooded part of the kitchen and living room (right above the electrical panel). We tried calling reception several times and no one answered, so we had to go to reception in person, in the rain. At reception, they said that they were unable to resolve the problem, they had no free rooms and that we were not the only ones in the same situation. They gave us some towels to contain the flood, ourselves. After our complaint, this matter was never addressed by them again and there were no justification. We were never able to access a pool towel, and on the first day we were told that they could have them the next morning but that there were very few, this is not acceptable for a 4star hotel. The All Inclusive concept in this hotel is more realistic as Full Board + Drink. There is only 1 employee for bar service + table service + cleaning the area itself. The All Inclusive information they gave us on the reception was different from what is displayed in the bar and what is currently practiced. On the last day, a bar employee (the first time we were served by her) tells us that we can order any meal to take away, if we are not staying at the hotel (information that was never given to us at reception, even though we had asked which includes All Inclusive). For us, not a 4 * hotel."

"2nd visit to the Menorca mar and even better than the first. We love the peace and tranquility of this place . The staff are amazing and the whole place immaculate. Beds are comfy with air con in the room . This works so well you never feel hot. Kitchen has everything you need. Fridge with ice compartment, 2 hob rings a mini oven . The pool area is is amazing . Lots of sun beds ( despite a couple of reviews saying otherwise ) there are enough for each guest . Parasols and tables too. The marina is only 15 minutes away with lots of restaurants mall of which are good. Hotel food also very good. Good gym. Check in quick and professional. We will be back for a 3rd visit soon"
