"We set off with high hopes, as the hotel looked very nice in the pictures and the reviews were very positive. The hotel itself really looks like the pictures, it has a good location, close to a great beach (about 5-8 minutes walk), the food is also okay. What we really didn't like was that instead of a 3-star hotel, we found ourselves in a student hostel. We went to rest and relax, but instead we had to listen to constant shouting, door slamming and parties all night, several times until dawn. We think this is very unfair to the other guests. The hotel is a student hostel, and a young football team was staying at the time we were there, and the shouting was going on all the time. Unfortunately, the soundproofing is very bad, so you can hear everything. By the way, there is 1 hour for dinner, if we went at the beginning, we could have joined the long line after the students like in a canteen. I mentioned this at the reception when leaving, they took note, they didn't even say sorry. We booked quite last minute, so they really should have mentioned this, especially since we went with a child. We will definitely not come back here again and we will not recommend it to others who are also looking for a relaxing holiday. It was quite expensive for a student accommodation. They really spoil the hotel with this hostel feeling."

"We booked our one-night stay at the last moment as our self-drive tour went a bit awry at the end of our holiday. Fortunately, they had a deluxe room available which proved to be very comfortable, complete with jacuzzi bathtub, which was much appreciated after a fraught journey. The hotel,- a new-build (but in traditional style) is surrounded by vineyards, feels quite isolated on its’ lonely hilltop, but of course this means it makes for a very peaceful, tranquil setting, overlooking Haliacmon reservoir. Its’ location means it a perfect bolt-hole for visiting the archaeological sites of Vergina only a short distance away. I should imagine it is also a popular venue for weddings and other functions. The owners are a delightful husband and wife team who seem to run the place single-handedly when things are quiet. Indeed, while there, apart from another couple, we had the place to ourselves resulting in the evening meal in the restaurant being disappointing. The breakfast, on the other hand, was splendid with all manner of Greek specialities. Quiet, relaxing rural stay."

"Good: the hotel has a private beach, nice pool, very nice and helpful personnel. Very bad: Very old and dirty carpets. Airconditioner filters full of dust/dirt. Very old and outdated furniture for a 4 star hotel. This hotel may have been great 20 years ago, now it was just an old eith nothing changed for years. Also the amenities and the way to the beach , poor, dirty with abandoned old buildings ."

"We dedicated this message to our 70 euros lost when we accidentally booked a night in this hotel thinking it was methoni in the south of Greece and not in the north... We did all we could to bring you home but we couldn't reach you 😭 We hope that the pockets of your new owner are warm enough 👋"

"We spent an amazing wekend on the coaat of Katherini with the help of our friends from hotel Yakinthos. Very warm and helpful people who comforted us the best way possible. They organized an authentic greek experience with tons of fun. The hotel is renovated - very clean, close to the beach but away from the crowds. I absolutely recommend it"

"A good quality hotel with comfy beds, hot showers and good air conditioning. All the staff are friendly, efficient and very hard working. In a peaceful location with only a short walk to a sandy beach where you can swim in the sea without using wet shoes. There are two small beach resorts a short walk away with shops and tavernas. The hotel pool is beautiful and ideal for swimming. The views of Mount Olympus are a wonderful back drop. The only negative is that the buffet food was always lukewarm and slightly repetitive. There are lots of things to see and do in this area but you need to arrange your own transport. We used a company called iGoHellas.com to visit the ancient site of Dion and Pantalamos Castle and to go further afield to Vergina and Pella. They also helped us to go sightseeing in Thessaloniki when Jet 2 excursions failed to turn up"

"This hotel is super, stylish, modern and welcoming. Gorgeous location, pool and gardens. Spa rooms too. Above all, the staff make you feel at home and part of the family! Daily service to rooms and beds and towels. Fantastic breakfast with a three hour service. Excellent restaurant and menu and bar service. A massive thank you to: Elena, Savina, Sakilaris, Kostas, Dionysus and Niko and Dimitri of the pool! A five minute stroll to the long, white sandy beach and calm shallow sea. Cheap sunbeds attached to the bars and cafes. A further ten minute stroll to the lively town of Paralia Katerini. A beautiful church of St. Fotini."

Estate Kalaitzis ★★★
"A beautiful place to stay, a short drive away from the tourist area around King Philip’s tomb. The room was a delight. Comfortable bed, great shower, good air conditioning and real sense of luxury and ease. The building, gardens and estate were stunning. A very warm welcome from our hosts, a delicious dinner with wine from the Estate and a memorable breakfast. It was very warm so we had all our meals outside with panoramic views. We will come again when we next visit the area."

Sun Beach Hotel ★★★★
"I recently stayed at the Sun Beach Hotel in Agia Triada with my husband and our 5-year-old daughter, and our experience was quite mixed. Rooms and Amenities: The hotel is housed in an old building, and it shows in the condition of the rooms and furniture. The room we stayed in had outdated and worn-out furniture, including a very old and dusty carpet. The curtains were also dusty, which is unacceptable for a hotel. The balcony was concerning as the fence moved with every touch, making it feel unsafe. There was no kettle in the room, which I found to be an inconvenience. A small fridge was provided in the room, tucked inside a piece of furniture. While it was handy to have, the fridge was quite noisy, and the constant hum made it difficult to sleep properly. One particularly unsettling aspect of our room was the door in the middle that connected to the adjacent room. It seemed to offer little soundproofing, as we could clearly hear the conversations of the people next door. This was especially unnerving at night, and it made us feel less secure and disturbed our sleep. The beds were okay, with one separate bed and two twin beds, and the mattresses were decent. However, the central air conditioning system was not functioning properly, causing issues in the hallway and at the reception area. Key Card and Door Issues: When we arrived, the key card for our room didn’t work, so we were given a regular key instead. Unfortunately, the door was extremely difficult to open, even showing marks from previous struggles to push it open. This added unnecessary frustration to our stay and made entering our room a hassle. Cleanliness and Hygiene: The hotel operates a policy of changing towels only upon request, which is environmentally friendly and reduces excessive detergent use, so I appreciated that aspect. However, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing. The pool was overcrowded, and it was clear that hygiene standards were not being enforced. I observed people with visible fungal infections on their nails being allowed into the pool, which was quite disturbing. Despite the pool area looking nice at first glance, this lack of care for hygiene was a major drawback. Service: The service at the reception was another low point of my stay. We had express check-in, but the staff did not respect the check-in hours of 14:00, nor did they honor the express check-in service. The receptionists were rude and unhelpful, which left a bad impression right at the start of my stay. Breakfast: The breakfast was decent, with a buffet offering a variety of options that could cater to most tastes. However, a significant inconvenience was the lack of ingredient labels on the buffet items. This was particularly problematic for my daughter, who has dietary restrictions. It made navigating the buffet more challenging, and I would strongly recommend the hotel address this issue for the sake of guests with food allergies or special dietary needs. Bathroom: The"
