"Quiet and very nicely designed right in the middle of a bustling street!! Perfect to stay to explore Dali old town by foot. We came on spring festival weekend and Dali was quite busy but this hotel was perfectly located and very quiet and calm. The staff is great too. Super helpful and gave us great recommendations for drinks and activities around. The breakfast was also delicious with great coffee, local pastries and porridge. The room was spacious, very clean and totally quiet even if the street is noisy. Totally recommend!! Great price quality ratio."

The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. The environment was beautiful, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the Cangshan sunrise and sunset, overlooking the ancient city – truly delightful. The room was bathed in warm sunlight, and enjoying tea while gazing at the ancient city from the bay window was a real treat. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, and genuine, always ready to help with any request. They gave us practical tips and food recommendations that didn't disappoint. There's also a very friendly dog named Wangcai and two adorable cats. When we left, they even helped us with our checked luggage, showing genuine care for their guests. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and will choose it again if I ever return. I'm currently in a Lijiang B&B, unable to sleep, and the contrast makes me miss that place even more – it had a special kind of warmth.

The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming, and there was even a cute little puppy named Hamburger keeping us company. My mom said the breakfast rice noodles were delicious. The only downside might be its proximity to the road; the large trucks passing by at night were quite noisy, which made it hard to sleep.

Location – unbeatable and worry-free The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free. Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse. What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue. The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎 Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. Value – exquisite and worth every penny This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip. Final thoughts I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special. If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

Kind hospitality of the best team in Anyu, the twinkling eyes of Claire if not mistaken her name always in beaming smile and Eveready to serve, KK was equally helpful as well as few others female staff. we truly enjoyed ourselves with the matrons of the house! Not only they were helpful, they knew their competitors well when i enquired their assistance to make reservations for me in Daji and Sisan. These few girls represent Anyu ambassadors, deserve accolades! Anyu a hidden gem, we will be back! Our experiences in Anyu Dali leads us to explore and view Anyu Lijiang where we will stays on our next visit. keep up the good work, Anyu we trust!

GGuest UserAs someone who loves taking photos, the estate itself is a natural studio: the sea-view soaking tubs, the retro French-style corridors, the South France castle, the exotic Moroccan courtyard – everywhere is perfect for snapping pictures. I took so many beautiful photos, I'm thrilled! I especially want to commend the service: airport transfers, help with luggage, afternoon tea, goodnight desserts, breakfast, and a dedicated private butler service group. The attention to detail was impeccable, and they were always ready to assist! My dress for photos got dirty dragging on the ground, and they even helped me wash and dry it. All the hotel staff were so warm; I truly felt like a VIP.
