The Light House Resort Kohlarn

The service was great! They offer pick-up and drop-off at the pier. Everyone was smiling and friendly, and any issues were resolved quickly. It's only a 3-4 minute ride from the pier. The electric cart is brand new and looks really nice (it's orange). There's also a chubby dog and lots of cats. Breakfast was quite simple... The environment is good, but we usually just went straight to the beach after waking up. The room was a standard size, but the bathroom was particularly large. Overall, I think it was pretty good. There were quite a few small animals (like geckos), but they weren't really a problem.

The hotel is pretty small and simple. Clean enough to live comfortably. Free motorbike was a nice touch. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. My main disappointment though was with the location. Koh Larn (coral Island) was indeed quiet and comfy, but it barely had any corals, most of the reef was dead and in pieces. Probably too many tourists or has to do with too many boats and jetskis zooming around the island. There was also too much trash on the beaches (we've tried all of them and only a couple of them were clean). Parasailing was lame, heights nowhere near exciting and it finished within 5 minutes. All in all, best to get a snorkeling tour on other islands or try parasailing or jetskis elsewhere. It's cheaper and more fun

Initially, there was a bit of a snag because on check-in day, we saw some bad reviews about our room. But the management and support team were incredibly helpful and quickly resolved the issue, upgrading us to a better room without any hassle. We had no problems at all during our entire stay – no insects, no noise. The area has a large Indian community, which means there's always something lively happening; it was fun, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days. The pool was great for cooling off in the intense heat. Overall, we really liked everything.

We arrived in Bangkok at 8:50 PM. After completing all the formalities and making our way to Pattaya, we finally reached the hotel. The check-in experience was excellent. A staff member kindly took our two suitcases and escorted us to the elevator, taking us to the first floor. There, during check-in, they clearly showed us photos on cards detailing the pool's location and operating hours, as well as where breakfast is served. We paid a 1000 baht deposit. The same helpful staff member then assisted us with our luggage to our room; he was very polite. Our room was incredibly spacious and had a fantastic mountain view! Waking up in the morning to such a magnificent view is pure bliss and so refreshing for the eyes, with so much greenery around. The hotel is located near Bali Hai Pier, and like many others, we chose this hotel for its convenient access to Koh Larn, allowing us to head out leisurely in the morning. Walking Street is also nearby; if the video loads, you can clearly see the pier and Walking Street right next to it. The breakfasts are quite good, even offering soups, which rotate daily between pork and chicken options. The staff are all very kind, and I especially want to highlight the exceptional housekeeping – they cleaned our room *every single day*! Thank you, you guys are great!

This hotel is very good. The room is big enough. The shower is so good and hot water. The staff are very kind. They arranged taxi to bangkok with better price than bolt. Maybe the balcony needs chairs and table. And swiming pool is not that big but clean and in my staying it was empty. Check in: they let me enter my room before 1 hour of the check in timing, and without requesting, which is very good. Check out: was exactly 5 seconds. They didnt ask to deposit insurance money. Very respected. I was in 10 floor, and the music is high and can be heared till 4am.

Nice and morden hotel, 24hours convenient stores available nearby..the room which I stayed was facing the back greenery which was well equip and quiet. Bed was comfortable, with a nice large pool as well, carpark was also sufficient even on Valentine's day. One thing that I felt was a let down is gonna be the ala carte breakfast. It will be great if it was a buffet style breakfast. Really hope the hotel would consider a change.

This unusual camping hotel in tents offers a unique outdoor experience in Thailand, where adventure and relative comfort are combined. Mold was found in the tent, which is typical for Thailand's humid camping climate. The air conditioner is very noisy and difficult to adjust so that it does not blow directly on the sleeping place. Shared showers and toilets add to the inconvenience. For one night, it is suitable for vivid impressions, considering the price — minimum claims. You should not stay longer because of hygiene and noise; it is better to choose a standard hotel nearby.

Well, it’s no wonder why it was inexpensive. The building/general area seems to be quite old and run down. The hotel room as well as the facilities, as clean as it was, felt like the bare minimum - which was understandable. The electricity problem was an issue. I’d press on the button to turn light off; without anyone touching it it would turn on in the middle of the night and flicker. It was really annoying that I decided to just pull the card out and sleep without AC. Other than that, I didn’t mind everything else. Definitely not a luxury experience, but a decent place if you want to travel solo on a budget.

My friend and I stayed two nights in Pattaya, and overall, it was an experience with 'very distinct pros and cons.' It's suitable for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize convenience, but those with high expectations for quality should probably look elsewhere. First, the location is absolutely fantastic! The hotel is in the heart of South Pattaya, just a few minutes' walk from Pattaya Beach. Songthaews (public pickup trucks) are readily available right outside, and there are 7-Elevens, restaurants, and massage parlors everywhere. It's super convenient for getting to Walking Street and the Pattaya Princess cruise. Coming back from a night out, you don't have to go out of your way, which I, as someone who loves exploring, really appreciated. Plus, there's free parking, which is a thoughtful touch for those driving, as there's no stress about finding a spot. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The variety was better than expected, with Thai fried noodles, curry, bread, and fruit, as well as some Indian-inspired dishes. The taste was decent, nothing spectacular, but it filled us up and offered good value for money. Some of the front desk staff were quite helpful, answering all our questions and even offering tips for exploring the area, so that experience was pretty good. However, there were some significant downsides! The room's fixtures and fittings were severely outdated. We booked a room with a balcony, but the walls had mold stains, the towels looked old, and the floor felt a bit wobbly when you walked on it. The worst part was the terrible soundproofing; we could hear noise from the neighboring rooms and the street late at night, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The cleaning was also quite perfunctory; they only made the bed and emptied the trash daily, without properly wiping down surfaces or the floor. We even found a small bug in a corner, which was a bit off-putting. The rooftop pool view was mediocre, and the water didn't look particularly clean, so we didn't really dare to swim. Also, the hotel is near the nightlife area, so the music was quite loud at night. I genuinely wouldn't recommend it for families with children. In summary, for the price of 300-500 baht, the amenities are pretty standard. Its main advantages are the convenient location and ease of getting around, making it suitable for travelers who just need a place to crash and spend most of their day out exploring. If the hotel could improve the cleaning and soundproofing, the experience would be much better.
