"Perfect location, it is located just opposite Nagano station, bus and train are easy to get. Lots of eateries around hotel. Friendly staff that greet you everytime you walk pass their table. Great breakfast to charge your day. Good amenities. The bedroom size is also good. Downside is the hotel doesn't have a public bath."

"Location is THE best if you are planning to make Nagano your base and take the train to explore the other regions of the prefecture. It is literally connected to the train station on the 2nd floor. Plus there are great restaurants in Midori Shopping Centre which is part of Nagano train station."

"Dormy Inn Nagano Zenko-no-Yu Natural Hot Spring Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from JR Nagano Station. For those using Google Maps, it might suggest a detour via a bus stop, but there's no need to go around – simply cross the road from the station exit and you'll spot it. This hotel is ideal for anyone looking to stay close to Nagano Station. Downstairs, you'll find plenty of dining options, including izakayas. The hotel features a natural hot spring (onsen) and a sauna. Upstairs, there are two massage chairs and a full wall of manga books. Guests can enjoy complimentary chocolate-dipped ice cream bars and popsicles, with lactic acid drinks available in the morning. Don't miss the free late-night ramen served from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. The rooms and beds are on the smaller side, but we still had enough space to open two large suitcases. Self-check-in by scanning passports was super convenient. The mini-fridge came stocked with local jelly snacks and two complimentary bottles of water. However, I wouldn't recommend it for guests with extremely high hygiene standards, as there were some minor stains on the toilet and chairs, though it didn't significantly impact our stay. Despite this, the overall service and design were quite impressive and a pleasant surprise."

"The room was very clean and quite spacious, especially for a Japanese hotel. Even during our two-night stay, when we opted out of daily housekeeping, they still kindly provided fresh towels and linens. I managed to leave my room key in the room twice, but the staff at the front desk were always very helpful and promptly issued a replacement."

"I enjoyed stay in here. The room is spacious, amenities all complete, provided at the front desk and take what's you need. Location, in front of the Nagano station, after east exit, and 7/11 just next to it. 1 thing make me not give the perfect score, the room have some unpleasant odour that I couldn't remove. I turn on the humidifier, spray air refreshner but still it won't disappear. Except for that, everything is good"

"Great location—loved having a Lawson right downstairs! I didn’t realize Big Echo was on the 4th floor; otherwise, I would’ve planned to go for karaoke. But I already had a movie scheduled, so there wasn’t enough time. The view was exactly what I was hoping for. I really enjoy staying in places with windows that offer such a nice view. The only downside was the washing machine. It was quite slow and required coins. I even had to buy drinks from the vending machine just to get enough 100-yen coins for laundry. I guess this kind of old-style machine is still common in Japanese hotels. Unlike the newer machines in China and Thailand that only take about 30 minutes to wash and another 20–30 minutes to dry (with separate machines), this one took significantly longer. Overall, it was a good stay. I slept really well—even overslept a bit! Probably because I had spent the whole day snowboarding and was completely exhausted."

"We chose this hotel by location first of all, because we arrived around midnight at Nagano station. The hotel is very close to it. There was convenient check-in and check-out automatic system. The facilities of the room were great - private bathroom and a toilet, and also pajamas. The room is very small, but it is totally sufficient for a trip."

"Room was extremely worth it's pricing with the cleanliness and you could feel the exquisiteness of the hotel from entering through the main doors all the way to your room. Walking distance to multiple interesting areas such as Zenkoji Temple and very pretty eateries around the area. 1 extremely disturbing thing was whereby 1 of the huge mirrors by the make up table was right infront of our beds which made my family and I have a paranoid night stay. Other wise everything was top tier!"

"Good place to stay if you are in nagano. A 10 minutes walk from the station, but the quiet is worth it. Can visit kamikochi!"

"Rather old property. Some stains on the sofa, though they do not look like it can be cleaned. Other that that room is generally clean. However, hotel claimed that they do not have aircon during winter season, and said the only way to cool the room was to off the heater (which is the only mode the aircon duct can release), or open the window, though it is prone to bugs entering the room. Not recommended. Can stay at better properties near nagano station at similar price points."
