Hotels in New Cairo City

"We spent one night at the Rivana Residence hotel. The location was confusing at first as it doesn't have big hotel signs. Once we got in we were welcomed by reception. We had a nice apartment which looks like we were one of the new users of the room or even the whole building. Everything was very clean, the room had a kettle and a microwave as well as some cutlery. The room also included a sofa and a big desk. Overall the stay was very nice and if I want somewhere near 5th district this would be definitely one of the first choices to book. Only one improvement I can think of is that there were no teabags or instant coffee packets. This is usually included in most hotels and would've been great to have a cup of tea in the morning"

"Located in New Cairo, there are big shopping malls and supermarkets 6 minutes walk away. There is a row of ATMs in the mall, and the first one can withdraw money with UnionPay, but there is no UnionPay logo on the machine. The room is large and fully equipped, with a stove, microwave, and refrigerator, but I didn't use them much. The room is clean, but the surrounding environment is dusty. It takes half an hour to take a taxi to the attractions in the old city, which costs more than 20 yuan, so if you think the old city is too dirty, it is better to stay in the new city as much as possible."

Several mini-markets, a fruit market, a pharmacy, and various shops are within a 7-10-minute walk. All requests—a hairdryer, cleaning, extra water, assistance with orientation, and a late checkout on the day of departure—were accommodated. A nice touch: the bathroom has a large, rainfall showerhead, so a shower cap is a must if you don't want to get your hair wet."
