"After leaving the motel I received a phone call accusing me of swapping the electric blanket that was in the cupboard for an old one and also from stealing the one in the bed. I was horrified. There was no electric blanket on the bed and why would they have 2 electric blankets in the room with 1 bed. The quilt cover and the sheets were all wrinkled, there was gaffa tape on the floor of the shower. I do not recommend anyone to stay there if that is how customers are treated. I need an apology from the managers of this motel."

"My partner and I are in the process of moving from Victoria to South Australia with our border collie. We have stayed at this motel a few times and will book it a few more times for many reasons! The first time we stayed we were upgraded to a double motel room with an awesome courtyard and pet friendly! Our host, Chris is a really beautiful person that obviously cares about her guests, her motel and if they have pets, it’s really important to her that everyone is comfortable! Tonight when we arrived, so exhausted from this big move, the heaters were on and so so clean as always. Our border collie ran straight inside like he was home. We could not recommend this place enough, especially for travellers that have pets. It’s just so easy here! Thank you Chris for your hospitality! You are a very special person xxx"

"I stayed here overnight and I really enjoyed my stay. The room (7) was modern, very clean and comfortable. The bed was good and there were extra blankets if needed. The check in staff were very friendly and also helpful. They don’t do breakfast in the morning which is fine, but you can go to the Windmill Cafe or KCR Roadhouse in walking distance. Great place to stay for a restful sleep !"

"It's Day 8 of our road trip and our 8th road trip motel. What a breath of fresh air it is to enjoy an authentic country motel. Checkin and payment were easy. Yes, the room is dated but it is also priced accordingly. Plenty of bottled water provided in the room also. The absolute highlight of our visit to Kaniva was the $12 cooked breakfast served in the front dining room. Just read that again, Jan 2024 - $12 cooked meal. What a great start to the day of travels and we didn't need lunch."
