📍 Calle Haza Calera 20, Orgiva

"Wonderful apartment. Great air conditioning. Modern. Secure entry systems. Lift available. Juliette balconies. Disappointing view of street. Disappointing dirty pool and no working wifi on arrival although resolved within 24hrs following a complaint. Good kitchen facilities and kitchen/bathroom freebies and lots of hangers! Close to town, which is all uphill, worth knowing if you have difficulty walking. Glad to find this on special offer pricing and didn't pay full rate. I would stay again but for the great apartment, not the pool area."

Hotel Puerta Nazarí ★★

📍 AVENIDA PUERTA DE LA ALPUJARRA, 2, Orgiva

"We spent two nights at this picturesque hotel in Órgiva, enjoying the most amazing views and dining in the hotel’s bar‑restaurant on both evenings. The bar and hotel are well known in the area and frequented by both locals and expatriates, all of whom were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. What truly stood out for us was the excellent customer service. Manuel, the owner, along with Francisco and Anna in the bar‑restaurant, and Miriam at breakfast, all went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. Their warmth and attentiveness made our stay feel very special. The food was absolutely delicious and full of the region’s character. The bar itself is cosy, lively, and full of charm. We want to thank the entire team — we will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel."

Camping Orgiva ★★

📍 Carretera 348, km 18/900, Orgiva

"We have just spent four nights at Camping Orgiva in the Alpujarra and would like to recommend. It's a small to medium sized site on two levels. The call it a garden site but it is mainly dirt and grass. The lower level where we were had more grass than the upper level and also had gorgeous views. Very peaceful and we were so lucky with the weather. I guess in Summer the grass will be dry and in wet spell there will be quite a bit of mud, but for our visit it was perfect. The pitches were lovely and large. The reception staff were very quick to respond to emails, and very welcoming and helpful. They sorted us a gas bottle and even gave my husband a lift up to the village and back so he could do a supermarket shop. We stayed 6 hours over time today which we were expecting to be charged for, but weren't. The cost was 26.55 per night with 10% off for the ACSI card. There is waste land next to the site where dogs can have a run off lead. I didn't use the toilets or showers but my husband says it was all clean and the water pressure was good. Th shower block is heated too. Rustic restaurant on site. Service wasn't great but the menu was comprehensive and the food very good. The only time a portion of prawns has beaten me. A walk up to the village for lunch was a 6.5 km hike uphill. I struggled with it but I generally fit person would manage fine. We had a lovely meal in the town plaza. A few glasses of vino and thankfully downhill all the way back. We will definitely return."
