"We spent 9 nights in DhowInn and we really enjoyed our stay in hotel and generell in Zanzibar!The room 404 was clean 10 steps from a great pool , long enough for length swimming what a really appreciated. The breakfast and dinner was a really good combination of different delicious local freshly prepared foods., for lunch we ordered many times the fresh prepared sushi’s (it took time till we got the food but it was worth it). We also enjoyed 3 times 35min massages in the hotel Spa - really nice ! The amazing turquoise white powder beach is couple steps away from hotel with many opportunities for activities . We booked directly in hotel a couple of really interesting and well organized trips . Our guide was Rhamadan and we highly appreciate his guiding qualities and a very friendly and uncomplicated way to show us the true beauty of the island ! We had a wonderful experience with his guiding . In generell we had a very good experience with hotels stuff ! I can highly recommend the stay in DhowInn."

"We had another amazing holiday staying at Frangipwani again . The staff are so helpful ,it feels like we're staying with family. Nothing was too much even when I asked the way to Bentos on foot one evening. The lady on reception Triana took us herself saying I don't want you to get lost . So lovely. Rooms in hotel are spacious & clean with everything you could need . Breakfast was lovely too. The reason why we keep going back coz also it's less than 5 mins walk to the beach . You really don't need to be beach front & pay the extra. Thank you everyone from Frangipwani x"

The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, the pool area is beautiful, and the whole place looks very well maintained. What stood out the most was the service — the staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive from the moment I arrived. You can really feel the good vibe of the place. It's definitely one of the spots in Paje worth visiting even just for a relaxing day by the pool. Highly recommended!"

"We had an excellent stay at the SBH Hotel Paje, and from start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make our holiday special. A very special thank you to Catherine, who helped me arrange a beautiful surprise beachfront dinner for my wife’s 50th birthday. The setting was perfect, and her support in organising everything made the evening truly unforgettable. Our waitress for the evening, Shirley, provided outstanding service — attentive, professional, and warm. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. A huge thank you also goes to Sylvester, who truly made a difference to our stay. As a vegetarian (and quite a picky one!), I was incredibly impressed by the effort he put into preparing delicious Indian vegetarian dishes for us. Some meals were specially made and not even on the menu. He consistently checked in with us to ensure we had suitable options and that everything met our expectations. During the last few days, he also prepared traditional Swahili dishes, which were wonderfully similar to Indian cuisine — full of flavour and beautifully presented. His dedication and thoughtfulness were genuinely appreciated. We would also like to thank our evening waitress Nourath, who was a joy to be around. She looked after us with great care and added a touch of humour to our evenings — especially with my special requests for warm red wine and a creative mix of Fanta and Sprite! 😄 Her friendly personality made every dinner enjoyable. A big thank you to the entire kitchen team as well. Every meal was of excellent quality, beautifully prepared, and never disappointing. Their high standards and attention to detail were clear throughout our stay. Room & Facilities: The room met our needs well, and the housekeeping team kept everything clean and tidy each day. The only minor issue we experienced was occasional power cuts, and I had to reset the fuse box in our room once or twice. However, this was not a major concern and did not significantly affect our overall experience. Overall, we were never worried about anything because the team consistently provided excellent service and made sure even a picky vegetarian like me was well taken care of. We truly felt looked after. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paje. Thank you again to the entire SBH team for a wonderful and memorable stay."

"We were picked by the Dhow Inn driver at the airport to the hotel. I do accord warm reservation, we received from the receptionist. The hotel is well lighted both inside rooms and outside. "I was booked into the Paje Beach Apartments and Hotel by the tour operator so cannot comment on value. The cleanliness, beautiful beach location, delightful and so helpful staff were an absolute highlight. I was most appreciative of when, at the end of my stay I became ill, reception staff helped me to get medication. I was surprised to be allocated a very spacious first floor apartment - a matter I will take up with the tour operator. I was able to relax and unwind after a busy safari experience, the restaurant offered a good range of dishes although I would echo others suggestions that more salads, soups, lighter dishes would be welcome. The distance from Stone Town precluded a day visit at a reasonable cost and I wish I had booked a couple of night in that area to see more of the history of Zanzibar. The cleanliness, lovely pools, availably of sun loungers, great bar, above all the friendly and efficient staff made my stay. Thank you"

The location is great, second to the beach and nice and quiet when you need it, beautiful designed with palm trees for shadow and a big pool kept cool where the kids can play. "The property is truly beautiful, tidy, and impeccably clean, both inside and out. Anna is always present, attentive, and never intrusive. The staff is very professional and kind at all times. The rooms are equipped with fans and air conditioning, and when the lights go out, an emergency light immediately turns on to avoid being left in the dark. The food is excellent, and the kitchen is immaculately clean. The staff cleans the loungers several times a day and collects fallen flowers and leaves. The pool is also cleaned every morning with meticulous attention. I would return tomorrow; it was the best property we stayed at during our vacation."
