"The room was very clean and well-maintained, but there was no air conditioning and it was very muggy. I also stayed on a Friday night, but the bar was noisy until midnight and I couldn't sleep even with the windows closed. The staff were friendly and kind, and the welcome drink was delicious! Shampoo and other amenities were provided, but there was no hair dryer, which may be a problem for women. There is no elevator, so it may be a bit difficult for those with heavy luggage."

"On a stop-over in Fremantle to Rottnest Island we stayed 2 nights. Downstairs is a busy bar, upstairs is hotel rooms. Design of the room was nice, bed was comfortable, there is fridge in the room. Shared bathroom was clean. Supermarket is a short walk. 15-20 min.walk to Espanade Park. Worth the price. Good option for a short stay."

"Our stay at Discovery Rottnest Island's Family Tent with the kids exceeded all expectations. The tent was well-equipped with a large bed, bunk beds, a living area, an ensuite bathroom, a small fridge, microwave, and electric kettle. The canvas tent did feel a bit like 'Wuthering Heights' with the strong winds at night, but thankfully the electric blanket kept us warm during winter, so it wasn't rough at all. Just outside the tent was Pinky Beach, and it was a short walk to The Basin for snorkeling and to Bathurst Lighthouse. Our luggage was delivered directly to the tent entrance from the jetty, making it easy to travel with children. The kids absolutely loved encountering Quokkas (Rottnest Island's adorable marsupial, often called 'smiling quokka') right outside our tent; we'd see them on the lawn in the evenings, which felt much more natural than a zoo. Pinky's offered child-friendly options for breakfast. Be aware that the tent canvas can flap loudly in strong winds at night, so it's advisable to bring earplugs or choose a tent row sheltered from the wind."
