GGuest UserLast weekend, due to a business trip, I stayed at the Dalian Hengli Grand Hotel for the first time. To be honest, my previous impression of this hotel was limited to 'good facilities and a great location.' However, what truly made me feel like 'I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dalian' was the service experience provided by Wu Yulu, a front desk staff member.
My flight was delayed that day, and I arrived at the hotel after 10 PM. Tired and sleepy from the journey, all I wanted was to get my room key quickly, wash up, and rest. As I walked into the lobby, the lighting was soft and warm, and Wu Yulu was on duty at the front desk. Seeing me approach with my luggage, she immediately stood up with a smile and greeted me warmly: 'Hello, welcome to Dalian Hengli Grand Hotel. Do you have a reservation?' Her voice was gentle and pleasant, and her smile was particularly natural—not a forced, professional one, but one that genuinely made you feel welcome.
After I gave her my name, she quickly found my reservation and, while operating the computer, confirmed my room type, length of stay, and any special requests. I had booked a standard king room, and she noticed that my membership level qualified me for an upgrade. She then proactively said, 'According to your member benefits, we can upgrade you to a sea-view king room free of charge. It's on a higher floor and quieter. Would that be alright?' This proactive consideration for the guest instantly boosted my impression of the hotel.
During the check-in process, I casually asked if there were any late-night restaurants nearby. She not only told me about the closest ones but also thoughtfully reminded me, 'Most restaurants are preparing to close at this hour, but the hotel's lobby bar offers light late-night snacks. If you don't want to go out, you can just head over there and give them your room number.' Such attention to detail made me feel that she wasn't just doing her job but genuinely helping guests solve problems.
After receiving my room key, she proactively explained the breakfast times and location, the gym's operating hours, and even reminded me that if I had an early flight the next day, I could pre-order a packed breakfast. After all this, she didn't rush me away but smiled and asked, 'Is there anything else I can help you with?' I shook my head, and only then did she hand over the room key and wish me a pleasant stay. Throughout the entire process, her tone was consistently gentle and her actions efficient, without the slightest hint of impatience despite it being late at night.
Later, due to a change in my work schedule, I needed to extend my stay by one night. When I went to the front desk the next day to renew, it happened to be Wu Yulu on duty again. Before I could even finish speaking, she recognized me and proactively said, 'Was your check-in yesterday smooth? If you need to extend your stay, I'll check the room availability for you.' After confirming a room was available, she quickly processed the extension, and I was able to keep the sea-view room. As I left, she softly reminded me, 'The temperature difference between morning and evening is quite large in Dalian these days, so you might want to bring a jacket when you go out.' It was this kind of thoughtful care that truly warmed the heart of a traveler on a solo business trip.
On checkout day, I was in a rush and accidentally left my charger in the room. I only realized it at the airport. With a 'nothing to lose' attitude, I called the hotel. It was Wu Yulu who answered, and after hearing my situation, she immediately said, 'Please don't worry. I'll contact housekeeping right away to check your room, and I'll call you back once we find it.' Five minutes later, she called back to say it had been found and that they could courier it to my designated address. She even proactively added me on WeChat to send me the tracking number. This kind of follow-up service truly exceeded my expectations.
I've stayed in many hotels, and many of them have excellent facilities. But what truly makes a lasting impression are those moments of warm, personal service. Wu Yulu is exactly that kind of employee—she's not ostentatious or deliberate, but every action and every word makes you feel respected and cared for. She is not only a calling card for the Hengli Grand Hotel but also a microcosm of Dalian's hospitality and professionalism.
If you're planning a trip to Dalian, whether for leisure or business, I recommend choosing the Dalian Hengli Grand Hotel, and I hope you get to meet Wu Yulu. I believe her service will also leave you with warm memories of your journey.

GGuest UserAs expected from a Marriott property, the One Castle Hotel truly showcases its sophisticated style. The amenities are excellent, with the pool and fitness areas well-maintained. The staff are professional and polite, handling all requests efficiently. I was very satisfied with both the dining and accommodation experience. The environment is elegant and the scenery beautiful. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Dalian.

GGuest UserI arrived at approximately 2:00 PM, and although my room was not yet cleaned due to the holiday period, I understood the situation. I checked into Room 232, the 270-degree sea view room, which was the highest available category at the time of booking.
Unfortunately, several issues significantly affected our stay. The condition of the room facilities was disappointing. In the first bathroom, the flush button was loose and partially detached, and there were visible cracks on the wall. In the second bathroom inside the sea-view bedroom, the door stopper was detached and the drainage system did not function properly.
Additionally, the glass panel near the wardrobe had a long crack, which made us uncomfortable using the area as we were concerned about causing further damage. Most importantly, the refrigerator was not functioning. Although a technician came on the first day and informed us that there was no power supply, no proper resolution was provided. On the second day, another technician was arranged, but we had to wait for a long time, which disrupted our travel plans. Eventually, we were informed that the refrigerator could not be used temporarily. As my family stayed for three nights, this meant we were unable to use the refrigerator for the entire stay and had to leave items with the reception, which was very inconvenient and did not reflect the value of the room.
Regarding cleanliness, the first day was satisfactory. However, on the second day, the housekeeping service appeared rushed. There were hair strands left in the room, and the bed was not properly made — the bed cover was simply pulled over without proper arrangement, and the bedding looked untidy and wrinkled. I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness standards.
Furthermore, the booking was made for three guests, yet only two glasses were provided in the room. There was no tea available, only bottled water. Communication via WeChat was also quite slow when requesting assistance.
On a positive note, the room view was beautiful, the location is excellent, and the staff who assisted us before check-in were helpful. The room design and view are truly impressive. However, after check-in, the overall experience did not meet expectations. Additionally, the mirrors in the room had noticeable stains.
I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration for service improvement. Thank you for your attention.

GGuest UserI stayed in Dalian for 3 nights. The first night was in Dalian city, and the second and third nights were in Jinshitan. I stayed at 3 different hotels, and I honestly think the Hard Rock Hotel deserves a great review. The front desk staff was enthusiastic and very meticulous, and check-in was exceptionally fast. Then, a staff member named 'Yi Yang Qian Xi' (a playful reference to a celebrity, likely implying excellent service) helped carry my luggage to the room, which I found very thoughtful and considerate. Both the hotel's hardware and software aspects left me very satisfied! The key thing is, during the May Day holiday, among hotels in the average price range of 800-1000, the Hard Rock Hotel truly stands out in all aspects. Whether it's the location, the hotel facilities, or the staff's service attitude and professionalism, everything was excellent. This is my genuine review, not a insincere one written to get discounts or gifts, but a true reflection of my stay!

The bedding was clean and neatly arranged, and the overall hygiene was excellent and very thorough. The hotel's location is superb, very close to the subway station, and Zhongshan Square is within walking distance, making it perfect for sightseeing and photos. Delancy was incredibly thoughtful; at checkout, she gave me a small gift as a souvenir, which I really appreciated. She also genuinely inquired about my stay, showing a real interest in my experience, making me feel like family. I will definitely choose to stay at Shangri-La Hotel again.

GGuest UserBefore my trip to Dalian, I spent days looking at hotels and B&Bs, worried about cleanliness and being too far from attractions. After three days of searching, and because my child loves loft-style rooms, I finally picked this place. It was such a pleasant surprise! The elevator on the first floor was very convenient. The owner specifically gave us a sea-view room where we could watch the sunrise, and it was also close to the elevator, which was great for the kids and elderly. The room was clean and tidy, and the amenities were very comprehensive. Downstairs is Donggang and Venice, and it's easy to get to Xinghai Square and the Oceanarium by subway or a 20-something RMB taxi ride. There's even parking downstairs. It was a truly enjoyable trip, highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserMy stay at the InterContinental Dalian COSCO Shipping was excellent overall, truly living up to the consistent high standards of the InterContinental brand.
I booked an Executive Room, which was very comfortable. The general upkeep and attention to service details were impeccable. The Executive Lounge offers an outstanding view, perfect for admiring both the city and sea. Even though the weather wasn't the best these past two days, the lounge's view was still impressive and definitely enhanced my entire stay. I also had the chance to use the Executive Lounge's meeting room, which was quiet, private, and very convenient – highly practical for guests with business needs.
I'd especially like to thank Eric Sun Yong from the Concierge team. From check-in to check-out, he was incredibly diligent and meticulous in assisting me with my luggage, providing warm and thoughtful service throughout, which made me feel very much at ease. Sherry and Jimmy at the front desk were also very professional; both check-in and check-out were seamless, especially the efficient and smooth check-out process, which was a great experience.
Overall, the InterContinental Dalian COSCO Shipping, whether it's the facilities, the Executive Lounge, business convenience, or the professionalism and service-mindedness of the staff, truly reflects the expected quality and consistent standards of the InterContinental brand. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Dalian.

GGuest UserI originally booked a king-size bed room without windows, but when I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded me to a family room for free. It has an extra-large double bed and a single bed. The room is large and well decorated. It is very close to Xi'an Road subway station. The price/performance ratio is great. I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel accepts foreigners. Great location, a walking distance from Dalian Station, essentially on Zhongshan Square. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was good, there's even a washing machine (didn't use it though). The staff was kind and helpful. Perhaps the only problem was that the room card didn't work, so I had to get a password, which also expired daily at midnight, and I had to contact the reception to get a new one. But that's not how it's supposed to be, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Overall, a great option.

however If you looking for a privacy friendly please avoid this hotel.
The house keeping team had entered my room 2 times within the 4 days during my stay.
A not-disturb card was hang as well as the not-disturb light was also turned on.
Upon the first enter, I had went to raise the issue with the hotel. The initial reply was the not-disturb card might be ‘moved’ when I opened the door for exiting. Little that they know I had took photo when I make myself leaving the room. On top of that, the no-disturb light was also on too even they falsely claimed card was moved.
Then the hotel replied that ‘oh no, they must of entered the room to tidy up the room’. Yet, the room was NOT tidying up at all.
Again, what’s the purpose for them to enter the room without my consent and my present? I questioned by expressing this may be a careless mistake which I do not wish to happen to anyone anymore, then I had left the scene and leave it as it is.
It HAPPENED AGAIN next day, I was frustrated and questioning the hotel again. They said they will ‘investigate’ and given me an explanation of what was happening. 2 hours later they rang to my room, and informed me that ‘due to you are staying alone with no companion, it is the policy of the hotel to check up on me to make sure I’m safe’
Really? ARE YOU SERIOUS? This is what they replied me of the case. Number 1, if this is the actual reason, why don’t they tell me the first time when this was happened. Number 2, I had clearly stated I do not wish to be disturbed and yet it has not been respected. Number 3, due to the nature of my occupation, I’m staying in different hotel 9 months out of the whole year. I had never ever heard of this.
Long story short, I will not going back to this hotel nor recommend to anyone.
