"The room was clean and much bigger than expected. We were provided with soap and a body wash. Overall for a pit stop it was great, had a very restful sleep before continuing with our travels."

"Beautiful and very quiet location about half a mile from the center. Who wants a modern luxury hotel is not in his place but we choose the authenticity and charm of the castle dating from 1830, familiar and a pleasant guest Cedric, who controls 4 languages, both Dutch, English, German and, of course, French. For me a very good price / quality ratio is too much because it is included in breakfast and is offered free by the operator. Breakfast is basic but delicious and for me largely enough. For those who wish a super extensive breakfast of supplementary 15 - 20 euros per person???
We stayed only one night - very good bed - we certainly come back here to find the source of the league with the bike.
Thanks Cedric for your hospitality. "

Very Good
AAnonymous UserStaff is nice and so tidy and neat, the hotel facilities are in good conditions and everything is good except need driving to Berk for dining.
EEddyA well located hotel, clean rooms and a good bed. Ideal for short stays, or to make an early crossing to England.
No option to eat in the evening, but there are some options to eat locally.
Unfortunately, I don't have the option to make coffee or tea in the room.
GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful team. The evening meal was excellent, had to leave early and missed breakfast. Perfect location to get the Eurotunnel, so very close. Room, bed and shower were all okay but why give you the kettle and English tea and no milk. Missed this and wish I had thought to check and ask for milk before bed, there is a fridge. Simply too tired from the long drive. Good location, with full electric vehicle chargers, peaceful and quiet.
GGuest UserNice location however the hotel car park it is not well signposted. Average breakfast for the price.
No drawers in the room no minibar or fridge, very basic amenities for a 4 star hotel. The shower door in the bath went beyond the bath edge and allow water to go on the floor creating a paddle in the bathroom. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointing experience considering the price to pay for a mediocre dinner. The staff are completely oblivious to guests requests or suggestions. We ordered the deep fried squid and they were just served as finger food, piping hot when I asked for a plate to transfer the squid from a napkin cone with kitchen foil propping the squid to make it look plentiful, I was told tge you have to eat it with your fingers??. Pepper steak that tasted and looked terrible, the steak was cooked to the right temperature however burned on the outside, the so called peppercorn sauce was just a pan wash, no pepper at all, no stock or seasoning, it tasted like water and salt. I had a bottle of red Burgundy that I drink regularly and to my dissatisfaction on tasting the wine it was unbalanced, when I pointed this out to the staff, the wine was taken away somewhere in the back, the waitress then returned to say that her colleague had said that the wine was fine and that decanting it would correct the wine. The decanter was clearly chipped on the rim and I objected and requested at the least a non chipped one. The wine didn’t correct. Apart from the company of my wife and the garden surrounding all the rest was very unlike of what a 4 star hotel’s restaurant should provide. The grounds of the hotel are very relaxing and comfortable,
GGuest UserGreat for a few nights stay. Central to everything beach and town. We booked a superior room which was modern and clean but a little small. The Bathroom was functional and clean but again very small. Overall great place to get your head down for a mini break. All staff from cleaners to reception friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a stopover or a few nights stay.
AAnonymous UserLovely hotel. Although the staff were extremely friendly at reception, there was an issue with them saying I hadn’t paid and I had paid directly through Trip.com, there was no questions on checking out and just had to pay the city tax. Lovely big room which had an upstairs and balcony, think it was a family room as beds upstairs. Be warned the bath is very high and I fell out of the bath because I am short! Even my partner who is over 6 foot said it was high. Very clean, nice bar staff at bar. Swimming pool is nice but did get extremely busy. It is quite a walk from from the town 15-20 mins. Would go back and stay again.
GGuest UserFront desk staff, Tiddy, waited me one hour after the usual closing time. He speaks fluent English and is very friendly. The parking is a little tricky. If you’re lucky, you can park your car free of charge after certain hour until 8:30 next morning on the street in front of the hotel. After 8:30, paying for two more hours at the machine, you can park till 10:30. I like the device which blows out hot air in the bathroom. Other amenities are very basic. Minimal in my opinion. I gave a 5/5 considering the price and the service I received.
JJaimeVery close to the train station.
I had a room with an ensuite/ private bathroom. The water was hot, but it needed a new shower head. It was leaky.
The room is clean and big enough 1 person, maybe 2.
Good security. Coded gate access after hours and a different coded entry into the building.
