TTongniandejiuwoLocation: The hotel is situated within the ancient city walls, making it a short walk to major attractions like Huayan Temple and Gulou Street. Service: The service was excellent. We stayed two nights and met different staff members, but every single one greeted guests with a warm smile and a proactive, friendly hello, which was very pleasant. Additionally, the complimentary airport pick-up service was a delightful surprise. The vehicle was new, spacious, and comfortable, and most importantly, the driver's service was incredibly thoughtful and outstanding! Ambiance: The hotel is a traditional Datong siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard). Although not very large, it has a homey feel. Lounging on the deck chair outside the room, soaking up the sun, and sipping on the complimentary sea buckthorn juice from the hotel was incredibly relaxing 😌. Breakfast: The breakfast was very distinctive, featuring a variety of delicious Datong dishes carefully prepared by the hotel's aunties – truly tasty. Next time I visit Datong, I will definitely come back to stay here again. Looking forward to it! 🥰

Llandscape456The host was very nice, understanding our needs in advance and personally picking us up from the parking lot to help with our luggage. The room was clean and hygienic, the bathroom was very large, and the toiletries were of good quality. The guesthouse is located in a residential area with antique-style buildings, mostly run by guesthouses; currently, parking is available on the roadside outside the complex. There are many restaurants nearby, but getting breakfast isn't very convenient. The old town center is about 1.6 kilometers from the guesthouse.

GGuest UserFacilities: The design is excellent, and all the amenities are thoughtfully arranged and very practical. The bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable; lying down felt so therapeutic, and I fell asleep almost instantly. Hygiene: The hygiene was impeccable. Environment: The location is perfect, within walking distance of Daiwang Mansion, Drum Tower, and Huayan Temple. After watching the iron flower performance at night, it was just a short stroll back to bed. Service: The service was incredibly attentive and prompt. The butler recommended many delicious local eateries, and they were all indeed fantastic. The tea at the front desk was also delightful; I'd fill my thermos every time I went out – it was so comforting. They even offered a thoughtful bedtime gift, making the overall experience incredibly pleasant.

CCornelis HeemskerkWe had a great stay for 4 nights at this homestay. Our room was very comfortable and offered enough space. The bed was quite had but we had a good sleep every night. The breakfast was only Chinese style but different every day. Coffee could be taken from their coffee corner. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was a pleasant surprise, far exceeding our expectations. From the moment we entered the lobby, the staff's friendly smiles and efficient, professional service impressed us. The rooms were elegantly designed, the bedding was very comfortable, and the bathroom featured a separate shower and toilet with ample water pressure – every detail reflected a commitment to quality. The hotel's meticulous service was particularly commendable: upon learning we were traveling by car, they proactively offered suggestions on nearby transportation. This provided a perfect way to relax after a long journey. The excellent location, comprehensive facilities, and personalized service complemented each other perfectly, making for a comfortable and pleasant stay. It wasn't just a place to rest during our trip, but also a part of a wonderful memory. This will definitely be our top choice for our next visit, and we will highly recommend it to our friends and family!

GGuest UserThis hotel is really really beautiful - maybe even more than the photos show. Even though the style is traditional, everything inside the room is new, and there's even an elevator to take up bags. The location is amazing too, inside the old city wall, and I walked everywhere except the out of town attractions I visited. I think anywhere you stay in Datong you might have some communication challenges if you don't speak Chinese, but the owner here was very helpful once I put wechat on my phone to be able to talk with translation help, and he was able to arrange a last minute taxi out to the hanging temple after I had given up trying to get one. However, even though he was very helpful, he wasn't always around, and checking in was a bit difficult because there was nobody at the desk. I think this is only a problem if you don't speak Chinese though. Unfortunately, the wifi didn't always reach to my room on the 3rd floor well, and I could only get a trickle of hot water out of the shower. Overall though, I was super happy with this place and would recommend it!

LlanxiaoTraveling during the National Day holiday, all hotel prices have skyrocketed. The hotel has convenient parking and there is a roadside market opposite at night. The hotel is okay, but the room and bathroom are relatively small. Everything else is okay. The hotel front desk prepared watermelon, and I ate watermelon while checking in. The boss is very talkative and festive. Overall it's okay.

GGuest UserAjummah at the front desk is very accommodating. I arrived at 6:30am and they were able to provide me a room at 8am. Very close to the railway station. The downside is room smells tobacco. The common bathroom is extremely dirty and smells like urine. There were even poop left is there without flashing down. I had to go up to the 3rd floor and use the bathroom there instead of the one in our floor. No towels, toiletries, slippers, hair dryer. If you just need a day to rest that is near the railways station, you can book this, otherwise look for other hotels in the area.
