"This is a very rustic and relaxed place with a laid-back vibe. Don’t expect a full-service resort experience — the bar has limited options and not everything is available, but that fits with the overall atmosphere. We didn’t get the room we thought we’d booked, but the room we had was still lovely. The bed was on the hard side but comfortable and suited us well; we slept well apart from being woken during the night by the wildlife. The pool is lovely, with big, clean towels provided. The beach nearby is nice, but there’s no direct access to the sea. Sea access is a little further along at a beautiful small beach, unfortunately completely covered in rubbish, which is such a shame but normal for Ghana unfortunately. Staff were friendly and well-meaning but sometimes seemed unsure what to do and would benefit from clearer direction. The vibe is very relaxed but definitely not quiet. There was constant loud music from several sources — rap music around the pool and other loud music starting from around 8am. Looking at social media this does seem to be part of their identity, so if you’re looking for peace, quiet, and the sound of the ocean, this probably isn’t the place. Breakfast was ok. The omelette was nice; there were other payable options. We did enjoy a lovely cup of tea (with UHT milk). Dinner was very good — the jollof rice with chicken was particularly tasty. Palm trees obstruct some of the views, but this didn’t bother me. Toiletries were very basic — no shampoo, just bar soap and a liquid soap. There’s a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee provided, and there’s no shop nearby, so bring anything you might need. Arrival into Accra was easy, with a bureau de change and ATM available, though luggage took an inordinately long time. Getting to Prampram was more awkward: you have to select cash on uber and bolt. Uber drivers repeatedly cancelled, and one Bolt driver eventually took us in a car that was in very poor condition, complaining about the distance. In hindsight, if arriving late in the day it’s probably worth paying extra to pre-book a transfer through the hotel. At other times, we’re told Uber is usually straightforward. Overall, a pleasant stay if you’re after something informal and lively. Probably on the expensive side for what it is."

"This has the potential of being a 5 star hotel, The pictures are just as it is in real life! It’s a little off the beaten track but worth the ride. Beautiful rooms and ambiance. Management Michelle did an exceptional service after a small grievance. Lydia from desk and Charles on the premises went out their way to ensure everything was working as it ought, excellent customer service. Slight minus mark was the breakfast, the order form was a bit too small to see what to order plus a couple of mornings the breakfast was overcooked,. Jeana on the bar, just needs to be a bit more attentive when a customer is standing over you for 5 minutes, but being a customer service manager in the UK makes me more aware of these minor incidents but it didn’t spoil an absolutely lovely place to stay."
