"The hotel staff is terrible, not only did they not have a room ready for us, we came in and someone else was sleeping there, then we went to another room and there were cockroaches running around, it was very late and we had to stay the next morning and wanted to change the hotel because paying $1,300 and sleeping with cockroaches is completely outrageous, we stayed for 2 days and only stayed for 1, then we told them that we would move to another hotel and they said okay and that they would give us our money back, but in the end they wrote that they would not give us our money back for another night! I don’t know what else to add 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️"

"The lady's smile 😀 and the service 🈂️ at check-in ✅ were beyond reproach. Also, one of the male staff members was fantastic. The others were absolutely terrible!! ️ In particular, there wasn't a bottle opener in the room, so when I went to borrow one, the front desk staff member said they'd go to the lounge to borrow one, and when I went, they said they only had one, so I had to give it back right away!! ️❓ Isn't that strange? There's only one bottle opener in a hotel like this? The young male staff member, who clearly didn't want to lend me anything, was the worst⤵️ The lady at check-out ☑️ was also completely unfriendly, disappointing😢"

"We spent a single night to go to Portofino the next day. The hotel was clean and close to the city centre and the port. A supermarket is nearby. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is an old style and could be a modernization touch. The hotel offers a car park with a price of €28 and a small and you must leave the key. I didn't appreciate that we couldn't leave our car at the parking a few days after the Check out. We had to get it out to find a place elsewhere... The breakfast was classic."

"Loved this place! The two owners Marco & Filippo (and their two Bassett hounds Zoe & Poldo) were very welcoming. Very good English and very easy conversationalists on everything (that's Marco & Filippo, not the dogs!) The room was not the biggest in the world, but perfectly adequate with comfortable beds, small fridge, coffee machine, good in room wifi. Breakfast was a plentiful mix of cereal, cold cuts, pastries and excellent coffee. Less than 5 minutes walk from the train/bus station and some great local bars and restaurants nearby. Buses to Genoa hourly and to Santa Margharita (for Portofino) every 30 mins or so. Highly recommended"
