"Booked for 2 rooms with breakfast for 4 people; At the reception they wanted to charge us for 2 extra breakfasts: it was a good thing that we could prove that this had already been paid for when booking. The breakfast itself was as it should be and therefore fine. Then the restaurant: although it had a promising menu, the food served was sad, poor and barely edible. Example: a few large shrimps with dry spaghetti was called Gamba a la spaghetti: it was such a sad meal that they admitted it themselves and did not charge for it. The rooms need major renovation, especially the bathrooms. Anyone who takes a shower - behind the plastic curtain - immediately floods the rest of the bathroom floor. This hotel needs its own "Delta plan". The staff is generally friendly, but unfortunately there are a few who do not know Dutch and that is in Zeeland, the Netherlands. At the same time, I would like to emphasize once again that the name of the hotel is misleading: there is no BEACH in the immediate vicinity of the FLETCHER BEACH HOTEL."

"Don't be fooled, the hotel website shows pictures of a castle, but the actual hotel is a few hundred meters down a lane and is a modern ground-floor motel-like building. The castle is used as an event venue (weddings mainly) and the hotel is where guests lodge. That said, the hotel is very pleasant. Simple, but functional rooms. A very good breakfast buffet. But what we liked the most are the surroundings: woodlands and nature reserves are dotted around the hotel, and the quaint town of Renesse is only 10 minutes walk through a lovely wooded drive."

"My husband and I spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel in Renesse. The bedroom was simple but comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and varied. The ladies at reception were very friendly and the hotel is stylish and must be lovely in the summer months with the pool and sunbeds. Most of the restaurants in the town were closed due to Winter season but the 2 we found open were very good. You can easily walk to the beach from the hotel (10 mins) and it’s a very clean and wide space with a great cafe bar for refreshments. You can even see the seals on the island in front of the cafe if you have some binoculars. We’d love to return when it’s not so cold."
