I really enjoyed my stay at Generator Rome. The hostel was clean, modern, and well-equipped, with comfortable rooms and great common areas. The location was convenient for exploring the city, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. It’s a great place to stay if you’re visiting Rome — highly recommend

The hostel is quite central, very close to the transport hub, but it's on the 'other' side of the sights. Other reviews say that it's in a 'sketchy' area, this is true, there is a lot of graffiti around the hostel, but I personally saw no trouble at all, felt safe at all times. The hostel itself was clean and welcoming from the outside. Under my bed sheet there was blood, which was a bit unsettling, I didn't raise the issue, as I doubt anything could be done. Some staff are helpful, some definitely are not, the night-time staff are moody, daytime were fine. The roof top bar was closed, only open during the summer months apparently. I personally felt the bar area needed a bit more atmosphere, it was never busy throughout my 4 nights there, I feel the hostel may have missed a trick there. Overall, it was a good hostel, not perfect, but you get what you paid for. The rooms were tidy and well maintained. I had no issues with the 3 other strangers in my room. Would I stay at this hostel again? Yes, as it was good value for money, in a central location, but certain staff definitely need to be more approachable and not loo .as though they will phone in sick the next day.

A bit expensive. The location is okay but it is not near to central train station for metro. I like the rooftop bar, it is so chilled. The bathroom and toilet is clean. There is no curtain so no privacy at all. The staff are friendly and helpful, teaching me how to buy a metro ticket jn Rome. An average generator hostel I would said. Yes generator is a chain-brand hostel so the quality would be definitely okay.

Last minute booking that fits my budget and expectations.

It seemed everything went wrong from the moment of check in. The street the hostel is on is a very sketchy area. Upon arriving to reception, I had to wait over 20 minutes before I could check in (there was only 1 person ahead of me). Initially, the keycard didn’t work so I had to return to reception. Then, the next day, the electricity cut off so none my devices actually charged. I wanted to purchase a bottle of water from reception (they have a fridge), but I was directed to buy it at their rooftop bar instead (which cost more than double the price). I wouldn’t return here.

The hotel is not supportive at all. I tried to can el or postpone the duration due to unforseen condition. I did this directly after my reservation with no use. Tried several times to communicate with them but no use. Very tough and not supportive at all.

I was really pleasantly surprised. The place was clean, friendly and somewhat modern still embracing the buildings charm. The bathroom had some issues with the shower heads and door locks, but the bed was comfortable and clean.

The room in general was clean and tidy. They gave me a card to open the main door on the first floor but never worked so everytime i leave and come back they needed to open the door for me and the young girl in the reception was very rude she chcked every time my card and never worked tho. the service can improve a lot.

Nice view, great location, comfortable bed, they cleaning everyday, You made my 3days 👍🏻 The price was abit high than my budget before my reservation but generally It was fine

A nice place to stay with your friends or Family in Rome. It is near the Termini Central Station so you can travel conveniently to many place. Also, a bus stop is just 3 minutes walking from it, so you can connect to any kind of vehicles in Rome. Best room quality and new furniture.

➕ Close to the train station Clean bed sheets AC ➖ • The district feels like ghetto. If you wanna buy some stolen stuff or a big fan of India - it’s your place! • The stuff if friendly, but prioritize continue a phone call when the guest was crying in front. For my request for a paracetamol have been sent to a pharmacy. • Ask someone to teach you how to use the shower. Yes, it’s not easy. • No kitchen, no kettle, no fridge • Prepare your towel (5€), soap for the shower and the luggage storage is payed. • I took a picture of bottles at ~11 am, they was here from the night • Forget about the darkness and quietness. The door is opening with a loud sound, some random annoying noises from tubes (?) from a the sealing. • Personal locker looks like a chest and it’s hard to open without a noise. And the metal bed resonating the sound from it perfectly well!

Amazing place to stay, with great ambiance. Perfect for solo travellers. Felt like home. Was safe and very clean. The bar tender was sweet kind guy. Highly recommended :)
